‘Hate the Jew, Hate the Capitalist:’ Glenn Explains Why Defending Israel Is So Important

On Radio today, Glenn Beck lamented world silence as hatred for the Jews seems to again be rearing its ugly head. During an almost 14-minute monologue, Beck detailed some odd circumstances that have contributed to the sentiment, from recent Obama actions to the rise of a new Egyptian Nazi Party.
Glennbeck.com explains:
According to the Jerusalem Post, a group of political activists have ‘announced plans to set up a local version of the Nazi party.’ One would think that this story, the latest evidence that the Arab Spring is rife with anti-semitic sentiment, would turn some heads here in America. After all, we claim to be the biggest supporter and ally of Israel, despite recent comments made by The President. Why are we ignoring old hatreds?
“The destruction of Israel is the destruction of the West,” Beck explained. “Hate the Jew, hate the capitalist, take them both out.”

Posted on May 26, 2011 at 5:05pmRegardless if you agree that the current nation of Israel is ordained of God it can’t be contested that its the last free stronghold in the Middle East…a place that has not seen peace in what…ever?! Israel is a country that strives for freedom and allows other religions to be practiced freely unlike the rest of its neighbors. To lose that means that the United States stands alone in a world full of crazy Islamic radicals, Socialist Europeans, Communist Asia and Putin’s Russia (with the few exceptions of course one being Japan and also Taiwan). Glenn‘s the only person I know of that’s actively standing besides Israel and willing to be proactive in gaining support. We all need to follow his example.

Israel is much more ‘socialist’ (as you think of it) than any nation in europe. the government owns all the property, some of the largest industries are state owned, there is a strong social safety net for Jewish citizens, and guarantee of housing for all Jewish citiznes. these rights are not extended to arab Israelis, and definatly not to Palestinian Arabs in the Occupied Territories.
3. Glenn Beck does not stand beside Israel. Glenn Beck stands beside right-wing ultra nationalist, ultra-Orthodox Israelis who comprise a very small percentage of the population in Israel, but a very large percentage of the popular opinion in the US. the US has always stood beside Israel. we were there in 1947, 1967, 1973, 1979, all of the 1990s, and definatly still now by blocking Palestine from UN membership. but standing with Israel does not mean we have to try to justify the subjugation of an entire nation of people.

Muhammad spared Jews, as did his successors who quickly rolled over the regions where most of the world’s Jews lived in the 7th-8th centuries. Hitler it seems did no such thing.

I don’t want Israel destroyed but i refused to stand with people that have occupied land that does not belong to them. If Israel refuses to move or get out then they should stand on their own and expect no support from the United States.
They must fight their own battle. I don’t see Israel supporting the United States in our wars. If Israel stands for Democracy and stand with the United States then why is it that they don’t have any troops defending South Korea as does the United States?

The State of Israel claimed their independence in 1948 and immediately fell under attack by Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq who called for the complete destruction of Israel. If the Palestinian territories are turned over to the current PLO there is no doubt that we will see the repeat of the Six Day War.

There is a study released by the Pechter Middle East Polls that 40% of Palestinian Arabs living in East Jerusalem (1,039 personally interviewed) would move if their neighborhood became a recognize part of Palestine. These same Palestinians, 36%, also believe there’s a “great deal” of discrimination on the part of the Jews but apparently they prefer it to the violence of the PLO.

If you know Thomas Jefferson’s writings, you would remember that he states “To compel a man to furnish funds for ideas he abhors is both sinful and tyrannical”. It is a Jewish state, but that doesn’t mean its mandate came from heaven. Israel (the modern day one) is a country like any other, an earthly body that has NOTHING to do with Scripture. It would be like naming a place Heaven and saying it’s the literal eternal paradise.
Keep your hearts looking above, but your eyes on the ground lest you trip and fall. Scripture may be proven true eventually, but it won’t be by the works of man.

Then they came to America after Americans with guns, and I didn‘t speak up because I wasn’t a gun owner and agreed that guns are bad and they kill…the gun not the nut using the gun.
Then they came for the American government and everything “she” stand for (Freedom, peace, liberty, pursuit of happiness), and I didn’t speak up because I was told the American governments current structure and influence was bad as Israel (treated the poor illegal immigrants of Mexico badly as Israel treated the Palestinians), stole land from Mexico and was danger to the world for all its meddling.
Finally they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.

You’re conflating two issues: Israel (the country) being Israel (the promised) and Israel falling. Potentially three issues, in fact, as “supporting Israel” could be a separate one. Israel the promised would not need our support to survive because it’s bestowed by God Himself. As for Israel falling, we’re in agreement. It’s not a good thing. But I cannot support all of Israel’s actions because they have done terrible things. It would be like supporting all of America’s actions. Both are earthly bodies and fallible.
