Have ‘Common Enemies’: Iran & North Korea Sign Technology Agreement

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran and North Korea signed a scientific and technological cooperation agreement Saturday, bringing the two nations deeply at odds with the U.S. closer together.
Iranian state TV did not provide further details on the document but said it will include setting up joint scientific and technological laboratories, exchange of scientific teams between the two countries and transfer of technology in the fields of information technology, energy, environment, agriculture and food.
Any technical accord between Pyongyang and Tehran is likely to raise suspicions in the West. The U.S. has repeatedly accused North Korea of providing Iran with advanced missiles capable of targeting Western European capitals.
Last year, Iran denied a U.N. panel report saying that North Korea and Iran appear to have been regularly exchanging ballistic missiles, components and technology in violation of U.N. sanctions.
Iran‘s state TV said the agreement was signed in Tehran in the presence of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and North Korea’s No. 2, Kim Yong Nam, by Iran’s Minister of Science, Research and Technology Kamran Daneshjoo and North Korea’s Foreign Minister Pak Ui-chun.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told Kim, the North Korean Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, that North Korea and Iran have “common enemies.”
“Arrogant powers don’t tolerate independent governments,” Khamenei told Kim. “In the march towards great goals, one should be serious, and pressures, sanctions and threats should not cause any crack in (our) determination.”
In a separate meeting, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Kim’s visit would have a “great impact on strengthening bilateral ties, expanding cooperation and boosting the anti-hegemonic front.”
Both countries are bitter enemies of the U.S. and the West. Iranian and North Korean officials have said in the past that their nations are in “one trench” in the fight against the Western powers.

Where is this story — Afghanistan President invited and attends Iran’s convention of middle east allies in Iran showing support for the Iran agenda. We spend a trillion defeating their internal corruption and terrorism, rebuild their infrastructure, training their military and police, and already they are siding with Iran while still cashing our checks. There is some real leadership from the White House when you can’t even keep this level of “friendship” on honest and civil grounds. Why isn’t this top of the fold news?

Isolated is Israel, and the House of Saud in Arabia.
North Korea threatens the Western Pacific area including Japan; Australia; Phillipines.
Venuzuels threatens, via ICBM and MRBM bases, all of the Americas.
Anyone else see the pattern of the game going on as well; and of how well the leader of Iran is playing in positioning the US to be powerless when the war comes to Israel soon?
Recall, Sun Tzu said the best means to defeat the enemy is to defeat his strategy and next his alliances; in these moves, the Iranian leader has neutralized the strategic support and alliance of the US with Israel; thus leaving her as vulnerable as ever since the day she was established by the UN as a nation.

After all, was it not “absolute nonsense” that the housing market would develop problems? Did the WMDs of Iraq not exist until they showed up in Syria a few months ago? The impossible and insane seem to have a bad habit of occurring.
While the strategy does seem somewhat improbable to happen as written, if North Korea and Iran launch strikes simultaneously it will stretch our forces greatly. Combine that with increasing deterioration of our position in Afghanistan, escalation of the Syria conflict, and the all but ignored saber rattling from Venezuela, things could go FUBAR in a hurry.

Posted on September 1, 2012 at 7:02pmLord_Frostwind, do you know 29th day theory? I think you do. It’s what I call a “geometric progression” thinking, as opposed to linear thinking. It is also often lateral in nature. 3-d chess of sorts.
Report Post »Lord_Frostwind
Posted on September 1, 2012 at 9:25pmI hadn’t heard if it twobyfour, but after looking it up, it makes perfect sense. Applying it to the situation; people always think the US Military is invincible. Against any single opponent, we can win a conventional war. Trouble is multiple theaters and enemies all coming apart around the same time will hit the already overtaxed forces hard. Worse still, our enemies know our limitations, they know we would rapidly lose effectiveness fighting a conventional war in three or more theaters, and with them allying like this could be a signal they are planning on exploiting that to their advantage. Other threats like large scale civil unrest in US in Europe which could eat into NATO and US reserves would decrease our ability to respond even further.
29th Day Theory is right, using exponential math rather than linear, you realize just how bad the situation is, and how rapidly it could get worse.

Then Iran won’t hold back after a minimum of 4 nukes are produced. 2 for Israel, and 2 for other destinations, carefully selected for a maximum effect to initiate a global war. And they don’t need ICBMs for the delivery. (An Iranian site associated with Khamenei sort of leaked, likely unvittingly, the plan. I suppose they thought no one would bother reading in Farsi. I hope Russians pay attention because they may get a big surprise, beside another quite obvious target)
