Have ‘Weapons of Mass Effect’ Been Found in San Diego? ‘Yes’

A curious interview by a local San Diego news station has some people wondering if terrorists are sneaking “weapons of mass effect” (WMEs) into the country through the sunny city’s ports. And while the idea may seem implausible, statements made by a port official, and the attempt by a public affairs official to direct his answer, appear to suggest WMEs have been found in San Diego.

While local ABC affiliate KGTV (ABC 10) was investigating San Diego port security last week, the news station interviewed Al Hallor, the assistant port director and an officer with Customs and Border Protection (CBP). During the conversation, reporter Mitch Blacher asked if Hallor’s office had ever found any WMEs in San Diego. Hallor admitted that while such devices have not been found at the port of San Diego, they have been found.

But almost immediately after giving that answer, Hallor and Blacher were interrupted by a public affairs official from CBP, forcing Hallor to try and clarify his answer. Still, the clarification was telling:

After the interview, CBP issued a statement regarding Hallor’s answer. But the statement doesn’t clarify as much as appear to cover up, and only addresses nuclear devices:

CBP has not specifically had any incidents with nuclear devices or nuclear materials at our ports of entry. CBP is an all-threats agency. The purpose of many security measures is to prevent threats from ever materializing by being prepared for them. And, we must be prepared to stop threats in whatever form they do materialize at the border, whether it’s an individual or cargo arriving by land, air, or sea. Regardless of what the contraband or threat is, we’re being smart, evaluating, and focusing in on anything or anyone that is potentially high-risk.

We were able to show you first-hand one example of how we evaluate segment risk, inspect, etc. in the cargo environment by air and sea here in San Diego. This is one portion of the CBP mission, and hopefully gives you some examples of how much has evolved in the past decade, with the new technologies we have at our disposal. This, coupled with document requirements at the border, advanced passenger and cargo information, better information sharing, and many other measures help us to secure the border – and each measure doesn’t work individually or in a vacuum, but rather in the layered security that we were able to demonstrate one facet of.

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Doesn’t it feel like the love of most is starting to grow cold!

    THE ISLAMIC WORLD WAR

We must understand that Islam’s prime directive is the militant conquest of the entire world, mandated by Allah & Muhammed in the Koran & this hadith: Bukhari (8:387) – Allah’s Apostle Muhammed said, “I have been ordered to fight the people till they say ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah’”

The followers of Islam have been dutifully following this mandate for 1,400 years, since the time Muhammed left Mecca for Medina. What we are facing is nothing less than an ISLAMIC WORLD WAR that rages on every continent except Antarctica, against everyone and everything “non-Islamic”.

    Let’s look at the FACTS.

    Islam against:
    - the Catholics in the Philippines (routine slaughter & beheadings)
    - the Christians in Indonesia (routine slaughter & beheadings)
    - Australian tourists in Bali (blown up…twice)
    - the Buddhists in Thailand (routine slaughter & beheadings)
    - the Hindus & Sikhs in India (hundreds of years battling the Islamic Jihad)
    - the Jews in Mumbai (slaughtered)
    - the Zoroastrians & Baha’i in Iran (virtually exterminated)
    - Islamic converts to Christianity in Afghanistan (death fatwa)
    - ancient Buddhist statues in Bamiyan, Afghanistan (blown up)
    - the Chaldean Christians in Iraq (routine persecution, slaughter & church burnings)
    - the Jews in Israel (routine attacks against civilians, threat of 2nd genocide)
    - the Jews in Yemen (nearly exterminated)
    - S. Korean & German tourists in Yemen (blown up)
    - the Coptic Christians in Egypt (routine persecution, slaughter & church attacks)
    - the Christians & animists in Sudan (genocide)
    - the Christians in Kenya (constant Jihadist threat from Obama’s homies)
    - the Christians in Nigeria (routine Jihadist attacks)
    - U.S. embassies in Tanzania & Kenya (blown up)
    - the athiests in Europe (the prime target)
    - the native French in Paris (torched car terrorism)
    - Jews in Paris (read the grisly story of Ilan Halimi, a Jewish shop clerk who was kidnapped, tortured and killed in 2006)
    - the native Swedes in Malmo (Islamic rape brigades)
    - the native Dutch in Amsterdam (routinely terrorized)
    - Dutch politicians (Geert Wilders & Ayyan Hirsi Ali – death fatwa)
    - Dutch cinematographers (Theo vanGogh savagely murdered by an Islamist in broad daylight)
    - Dutch cartoonists (Kurt Westergaard – death fatwa)
    - Dutch newspaper editors (Flemming Rose, Jyllands-Posten’s culture editor – death fatwa)
    - Train commuters in Spain (blown up)
    - Tube commuters in London (blown up)
    - Airports in Scotland (blown up)
    - Jews in Argentina (blown up)
    - Jews in Caracas (blown up)
    - Twin Tower office workers in N.Y. (blown up – twice)
    - Defense workers in the Pentagon (blown up – airliner jihad)
    - Army/Navy military recruiters in Little Rock (gunned down by an Islamist)
    - Soldiers in Ft. Hood Texas (gunned down by an Islamist)
    - Pedestrians at the U. of N. Carolina (run down with an SUV by Islamist)
    - Journalists like Daniel Pearl (savagely decapitated by Islamists)
    - Nick Berg, Kim Sung-il, Piotr Stanczyk, Jack Hensley, Eugene Armstrong, Paul Johnson (savagely decapitated by Islamists)
    - Jewish centers in Seattle (slaughtered by Islamic Jihadist)
    - Jewish centers in Toronto (slaughtered by Islamic Jihadist)
    - Infidel Delta Airlines passengers (underwear bomber)
    - Times Square pedestrians (SUV bomber)
    - Soccer fans in Uganda (Blown up while watching the world cup)
    - Christian doctors in Afghanistan (savagely slaughtered by the Taliban)
And on, and on, and on……….

It is Islam against everyone, everything, everywhere that is not Islamic.

It is Dar al-Islam against Dar al-Harb. Islam against us, not us against them.

Let’s face the facts and call it what it is. It is not a ‘War on Terror’ against a few ragtag misunderstanders of Islam. It is nothing less than THE ISLAMIC WORLD WAR.

THE ISLAMIC WORLD WAR – Muhammed’s legacy – it’s real.

Actually I don’t entirely disagree, however your analysis is far too simplistic. The meddling in the Middle East which has so many of them ticked off at us far predates either Bush that held the office of POTUS. Bush Jr. however, with his aggressive expansion of the Police State and unpopular (and un Constitutional) acts via the Patriot Act and launching us into a pseudo “war” with a nation that had done nothing to us, ticked off enough people to enable the election of the outright fraud known as Obama. A vicious cycle it is, yes indeedy.

@ NON-SEQUITUR…….I have been making that argument for a long time now. If you look closely at Bush‘s policies and Obama’s policies concerning certain areas of interest to powerful groups you will see very little difference. Gitmo still runs check, Afghanistan pretty much the same check, Iraq pretty much the same check, Patriot Act check, overuse of executive orders bypassing congress check, they both love to spend check, stimulus proponents check, sweetheart deals to failing corporations check, both are/were heavy regulators check, they both love czar appointees check, both attend Iftaar @ WH for Ramadan check, both appointed many lobbyists to political positions check, and both nationalized an entire industry Bush (banks) Obama (auto) check. When you get right down to some things they aren’t very different at all. The big areas they may differ tend to be in the social arena and possibly taxes.

Still, no wonder that nobody likes Obama: Democrats see him as Bush 3.0 and a sellout and to Republicans he’s too soft and wobbly and a Democrat to boot. Welp.

What the hell is a weapon of “mass effect”?

      A neutron bomb.

The government was teaching certain assets how to design and build neutron bombs.

You don’t know what a neutron bomb is?

It’s an enhanced radiation device designed to emanate extremely high levels of gamma radiation, critically damaging organic material, but without neutralizing the non-conventional thermonuclear blast normally associated with a hydrogen bomb.

It is designed to do damage to bodies without doing damage to vehicles and structures, but the effective range of the blast is not reduced.

California got a heavy dose of something that made them stupid a long time ago. They don’t have the smarts to defend themselves anymore. They are at the terrorist’s mercy. There is no point in discussing how to defend stupid and there is no cure for stupid. Whatever they got is rapidly spreading to the rest of the country.

Please people do some research before you ask for someone like Christie. I see him more as a “RHINO” Dem. then a Republican. Sure he has done somethings good but his record frightens me. I would not want him as President of the USA.

Chris Christie is fare from a Conservative IMO

Chris Christie strongly supported the assault weapons ban enacted during the Clinton administration, He opposes attempts to permit conceal and carry laws in New Jersey.

Just one day after being sworn in, the newly appointed state Attorney General [Paula Dow] took the most aggressive legal posture available to defend former Governor Corzine’s one-gun-a-month handgun rationing law, moving to dismiss ANJRPC’s lawsuit to overturn the law, and later vigorously opposing ANJRPC’s motion for a preliminary injunction in the case. The U.S. District Court could hear argument on these motions as soon as April.

This is the first indication of the new Attorney General’s posture on the firearms issue. Despite the unanimous opposition of Senate republicans and several prominent democrats when this legislation was rammed through by one vote in the middle of the night last June, the Attorney General has chosen to aggressively defend the largely ineffective law, which can be easily thwarted by criminals and fails to punish criminal behavior, but which clearly tramples the rights of honest citizens…”

Christie “Being in this country without proper documentation is not a crime,” Christie told more than 60 residents and town officials. “The whole phrase of ‘illegal immigrant’ connotes that the person, by just being here, is committing a crime.”
“Don’t let people make you believe that that’s a crime that the U.S. Attorney’s Office should be doing something about,” he added of entering the country illegally. “It is not.”

I dunno… I’ve worked directly with the radiation portal monitors. They’re designed to detect just about any source of radiation, and it’s not exactly spectrographic, meaning the portal doesn’t know what the source actually is. These things will go off for things like medical isotopes, and natural ore. These monitors will go off, and the people maning them will stop the trucks, check the cargo, and send it on its way. Happens all the time. This officer may be confused about that very fact. Cargo IS stopped all the time because the radiation portal monitors DO go off all the time. It’s just another screen, and gives off just as many false positives as metal detectors do. His response does not mean that WMD/WME’s are getting in and being stopped at the ports, it’s just verifying that the portals are doing their job as they are designed to do.

What is sad, is that the man being interviewed was trying to be honest. The way the Federal system works, however, is that each agency and location has a ‘Public Affairs spokesperson’. Staff are directed not to speak to the media and are to refer inquiries to those spokespersons. This man who was trying to be honest, probably was demoted or lost his job.

Now that is another story the Fox news really, really needs to follow up on.

      Pc Be damned

Good point. I consider myself to be well informed and up until today Ive never heard of a WME. Last I knew WMD was the best description of a weapon that destroys everything it touches and that was the ultimate description of such a destructive force. Oh well. It takes one person to create a new phrase and all of us just embrace it with eagerness.

Slaptheleft, Good point. I agree. WME kind of sounds like the wrestling network. WME is probably Napolitano’s way to tone down what she considers nasty rhetoric. It doesn’t sound so threatening. Also by using WME she can always say that we were not hit by WMD’s.

      hi
I reported that we had 1st hand, not 2nd or 3rd hand info that there are corrupt inspectors due to who <> at the border, who might be ignorant enough to think they are
“only passing drugs or aliens that ‘need work” however at every chance we had a manner to set these persons up,even after the investigators did not follow thru, in fact one laughed that due to one of the invovled persons relationship with a mexican official they wanted to do someone else, I cannot give complete details here except when I said to them how about if the pass the wrong person that has the intent to do harm, they did not have a naswer, and that is the problem, pc or who your related to as a crook our government looks the other way, just like calderon of mexico said of his country when drugs were not a problem, for them, but now they relaize they are, so GoD help us if something happens since our government or at least the ones I worked with at the border do not care,

I’m glad this agent had the guts to confirm what most Americans know to be the truth. Again, the government shows its ability to lie. I served in our military, not much different. If I spoke the truth people would turn their heads, rationalize the truth into some lie and then spread it as gospel. A great human problem of ethics and morals.

Didn’t Ms. Napolitano just say that our southern border was “safer than it’d been in 20 years”? This is becoming a nightmare of a joke!

We must secure our borders, enforce all of our immigration laws, mandate E-Verify nationwide, end the massive “Anchor Baby” loophole, and end all tax-paid benefits, including education and health care, to illegal aliens!

Before we can do any of this, we must Repeal and Replace Washington with actual representatives who will uphold their oaths to the Constitution and represent America’s best interests…
