Jon McNaughton, a painter with a edge for political commentary, has released his latest image: “Obamanation.”
The painting depicts President Barack Obama standing on a podium while around him are artifacts of his term as president thus far: Osama Bin Laden, a Fort Hood tombstone, a trashcan representing the Solyndra scandal, an unemployed man, toilet humor he used at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and more.

McNaughton writes on his website, “I am just one person, a citizen of this country using my first amendment rights to speak out through my art. This is my declaration that we have never had a president do more to harm our country than Barack Obama.”
He describes “Obamanation” as representing ”all the subtle, mindless, radical and dangerous atrocities of the Obama administration” in a single painting.

No stranger to McNaughton’s work, TheBlaze first reported on his “The Forgotten Man” piece in 2010 and then again earlier this year as it was making its round on the Web.
Like all of McNaughton’s works, he has posted his latest image online and made it interactive. Viewers can hover over various elements of the painting and information regarding what it represents pops up. Try it here.
“There are over 60 [symbols] in the painting,” he writes on his website. “No person can analyze this image and learn about these facts and still, in good conscience, vote for Obama in 2012.”

I know that Obama is the Epitome of a bad President, but one of our Republican heroes, Marco Rubio said, ” Now, let me be clear so that no one misunderstands. Our problem with President Obama is not he is a bad person. By all accounts, he too is a good husband, a good father, and thanks to lots of practice, a good golfer. Our problem is not that he is a bad person. Our problem is that he is a bad president.” Now that is the way Republicans act. Let us get real people. This is the problem I see, everyone has been put in so much fear about another Obama term, that we have lost sight of what is dear to our hearts. An America of Constitutional principles that give each and everyone of us the God given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Freedom. Freedom to do what we want as long as it does not violate the freedoms of another. Limited federal government that is suppose to protect that freedom we hold dear. We have so much work to do to take our constitution back it is staggering. Until one is willing to accept the fact that America is dealing with a fierce communist insurgency then we will never get our constitution back. The insurgency has captured or is fiercely imbedded at all levels of our governments (federal, state and local). Our schools, so many of our CEO, Hollywood, the military, professional sports, and of course the media. How many times a day do you sit back and say where the heck did that come from? I say it countless times a day. But I do understand what is happening. Everything that is on the MSM has a agenda (it may not be immediate in that setting the seeds for something down the road-but it is on there for a reason). Anyway, if we win this election the commies expect us to relax. Because the commies operate off of two steps forward, one step back. The key, if we win, is to recognize this and make our elected officials live by the constitution and fix all the wrongs that has been done to our constitution. A long arduous fight looms. Only the strong and determined will win!

I agree with you, WHY hasn’t he been tried for treason. I know how that sounds when you are talking about the president of the U.S., but many of us have taken the citizens oath of protecting this country from ” enemies, both foreign and DOMESTIC. I truly feel that Obama is a domestic enemy of this country. I can only vote and hope that we can oust him, but I think conservatives are fighting a losing battle. There are too many people who want an “anything goes” society. Even some of my conservative friends are voting for Obama this time, or not voting at all. ( They are very upset with the Republican Party and what they are doing to public employees. A lot of them are public employees or have family members that are public employees.) When you have a governor like John Kasich that takes pay, benefits, pensions away from them, AND THEN refuses to sign a bill on his desk that requires welfare recipients to take a drug test to get money They are fed up with giving back with out it being across the board. And to all you public employee haters, sorry but that is the way it is. There are a lot of Republican public employees, that are voting their pocket book, instead of their morals.

I realized at that point that the target audience for this art is people like Joe Barton who apologized for all the grief the US government gave BP. How dare the US government tell BP to clean up the spill!

Don’t you find it totally weird that a small government TP congressman would apologize to a huge oil company for the US taxpayer not cleaning up the mess that the oil company made? And – the nerve – demanding that the oil company clean it up instead? Yea, sure, the problems caused by the BP oil spill were President Obama’s fault, but shame on him for making BP to contribute to the clean-up.
Anyway, at that point, I stopped “interacting.” But that shouldn’t stop you guys for giving this guy lots of money: the guy that wants you, the taxpayer, to pay for environmental disasters rather than the company that caused them.

you’re forgetting on thing in your little rant that makes your whole arguement moot. BP first went to LA and asked for thier permission to drill 25 yards from shore(where they have most of thier expierience and safety guides set and have had 0 accidents), and the state yes. the FEDS came in and resinded that and told BP they had to drill at 100 yards( where the have little to no experience and not as safe for them to manuver and have had 3 prior accidents at that depth). in other words 4 times what the state and BP agreed on. if they FEDS had kept thier noses out of it this whole thing would never have happend. so yes you can blame this on the obama administration. nice try

We have all been had folks, all of us. The truth is that there is nothing wrong with believing in the constitution, there is nothing wrong with upholding morality, and you would be right to stand against any of the serpents among us that would preach of their own sins as being not only right and good but being things that we should all support. If that doesn’t change then this sort of art will represent a time when freedom had a chance. There are billions of good people in this country but when the time comes how many of you will will stand and how many will kneel?

The one thing, even though Obama is on it, I have talked about all the other presdients and the meaning of the rest of the painting with my son. In his Civics class, almost all of the kids tested Liberal or lean liberal, my son tested Libertarian. His teacher loves how he debates in class with the other kids, and he always hits them with facts. He has armed himself with Arguing with Idiots.
Sometimes you have to know your enemy and keep reminders, so you will know the enemy when you see them again. That is our mistake as a country, we forget and don’t teach our next generations our mistakes.
