Have You Seen This Controversial Anti-Obama Navy SEAL Billboard in Texas?

“The SEALS removed one threat to America. Remove the other in November,” reads a controversial billboard currently on display along I-35 in North Texas.

The sign, featuring two camouflaged men and military style font, indicates that it’s a political ad, paid for by TJ Schad, CBS DFW reports. Schad, a former Air Force mechanic, claims he’s not acting on the behalf of any committee, candidate, or party. He says he got the idea after he received an email suggesting the image and its message go “on every billboard across the country.”

“It just started out as something fun to do,” he said. “Let’s see if I could do it. I didn’t have a clue how to do it.”

Schad explains that he knew the owner of the company leasing the billboard and all he had to do was hire an artist to design the ad.

“I think we were just trying to make a statement,” he said. “We felt we needed to change direction in the country, and that’s what we did.”

As CBS DFW notes, a similar ad went up in Elkhart, Ind., last week, prompting a few protests.

“Some demonstrators said though that comparing military action to take out a terrorist, with removing a president from office, was too far,” CBS DFW reports.

Schad, however, is surprised some people have interpreted his sign that way.Have You Seen This Controversial Anti Obama/Navy SEAL Texas Billboard?

“Other than the fact it’s got some seals in there with a gun,” he said. “But I think it’s pretty obvious what they did and what the statement is.”

So far, the company leasing him the billboard has only received a few “curious” phone calls and Schad claims he hasn’t received a single complaint.

I see nothing wrong with this billboard. Is there freedom of speech in this country or isn’t there. It appears the left only see freedom of speech when they say something. If conservatives exercise their free speech, “that goes too far”. If I had the funds, I would hire a billboard here in AZ to have this put up here as well.

New Mexico and other welfare states are blue..meaning that they voted Obama in and will again..plus you have all of the illegals now..I dont see how anyone can beat those odds..and I heard this morning that Obama is ahead in the poles..I have talked to the minorities and..ones who teach in the schools and the elderly on medicare, social security, and welfare..and from watching the Obama speeches and main stream media..they are afraid of anyone but Obama..I don’t know what the stats are on the number of illegals in this country..but we are supporting illegals to the tune of 338.3 billion a year..and Obama is as I understand cutting 700 billion in medicare.. We are funding the illegals in education…welfare..healthcare.and imprisonment..Others say that they think the numbers are probably much greater.. I don’t see how he will ever be voted out of office..I thought this was a tiereny when he went in .. the way they used the Clinton brainchild.. Acorn and subsidiaries… we fund the whole thing…We didn’t have a choice then..we won’t have a choice now.. Seems that I heard somewhere that the people on welfare were 52% of the population..They outnumber the tax payers..

Needless to say. I do so love my state but more….I love the Constitution and liberty. And the simple truth is Obama could have been a good president but he chose to be the worst. This position has served him well as according to his “worth” he has 11.8 million bucks to disappear into the sunset with and his buddy that is speaking for him at the convention is “worth” 80 million. Personally I don’t think either of them is worth a plug nickel which is about what a nickel is today. As a Texan I wish to thank all of you who love this country as much as I do.

I used to work with the SEALS periodically when I was in the Marine Corps. Respect the heck out of those guys.

Now the ICE agents are suing the King because he has interfered with their duties. Finally! The list of wrong things Obamao has done is growing byt he day.

This dictator needs to go in November. Obamao is the worst person to occupy the WH we have ever had in this country. See, I can’t even call him the P-word because he doesn’t deserve to be called the P-word in my book.

      I really dislike Obamao severely.

This is a superpac funded group trying to “swiftboat” President Obama. You’re not hearing blow back from other Seals because they are honoring their code and training not to talk about their mission, engage in politics or disparage the Commander in Chief.

You‘ll notice this guy isn’t opposed to the killing Bin Laden. He’s in favor of that. We don‘t know who this guy’s financial benefactor is thanks to Citizens United. But Karl Rove or the Koch brothers would be a good guess. This guy has got it good right now I guess.

No, he wasn’t opposed to killing Bin Laden, and somehow Rove‘s informercials have ommitted every single one of Obama’s comments praising the Seals. They focus on a single comment President made: “I directed …

No, President Obama didn’t pull the trigger. Correct. But as leader of the free world he had to make the decision. Pakistan is a nuclear armed country with an unstable government, an untrustworthy military, and one with Muslim extremists who would love to take control and have those nuclear weapons. The population already dislikes the US and might tilt in favor of the extremists given the right provocation, like violation of their soveriegn territory. It’s a tinderbox with very, very serious potential consequences whenever the US inserts itself in their country with this raid or with drones.

But believe me, the more folks I talk to the more are seeing the light and saying Hussein Obama HAS to go before the United States becomes a third world country. Puddle Duck, pretty amazing how many new rules there are since President Obama was elected. You’re saying that when a President talks about a military success, it’s politics. Of course Presidents – all of them – have always talked about military successes. They often go on live television within hours of the operation (Bush, Reagan etc). But now that Obama is in office, that 200 hundred year old practice of Commanders in Chief talking about military operations is suddently off limits and playing politics?

      DARMOK AND JALD AT TANAGRA,
Yes…,I understand your failed attempt at “Late Night” humor. These are scary times and what you say is probably your version of whistling in the dark. Non?

This is what you need to do. THINK!
THINK about the implications of this billboard

The Military is nonpartisan. They serve their commander in chief and members of the administration.
Their mantra truly is, “Honor, Duty, Country”.
They are speaking out. They are breaking rank!

In the last few days we have learned of a PAC started by “RETIRED” Special Ops guys. This PAC runs the gamut of our Special Forces. Today we get the news that the freaking LEADER of Seal Team 6 has written a book about the killing of Bin Laden because he wants the truth out there.

These happenings are unprecedented! Do you get that?! Do you?!

Do you have an inkling of what this may mean?
Get your learn on. We are in deep DOO DOO when the Military starts blabbing.

      DARMOK AND JELLO AT TANAGRA,
I believe the “LOOK A SQUIRREL” statement is a more apt commentary on your approach to life.

When next you see one …,Thank a soldier. Trust me. You need to.

You can thank me, 22 years, Retired.

And I don’t disagree with what they said on the billboard, they have it right, and the have the right to say it. They are retired or seperated, non of them are active duty, in other words….Civilians, just like me.

Well, I guess in your view, you don’t have to thank me for my service, which is your right, just kind of snobbish. As for this Administration, I have absolutely no love for Obama, and have never despised a President so much, not for the color of his skin, but his worldview and his actions against this country.
I still work in DoD and see firsthand at what he is doing to our defense, it is despicable.

I came in 1984, and retired in 2006, so I also served during the Clinton years and seen what he did in gutting the military.

So, I don’t see what your animosity is towards me, besides the fact I was poking fun at the Blaze headline. And like I said before, I support what the SEALS are saying, 100%.

As for your husband, give him a hug from his country. I work with military all day long, and my job is to upgrade and support satellite weapon systems. So think about that the next time soldiers call in an Air Strike, land a helicopter, or fire GPS guided artillery. Space is the frontline in today’s war.

Well … I guess I need to learn how responding works here as my response appeared much later in the dialog … however:

Sorry Lucy LaRue … they are bound to protect and defend the constitution … not the President … especially when his administration has betrayed the trust of his covert men at arms for his ego driven aggrandizement!

This action is mild compared to what every law enforcement agency and military component should be doing with the coupe that is occurring.

Where does Honor … Duty … Country say turn a blind eye to the destruction of the country by the alleged commander in chief? Good men have gone to prison for following corrupt orders … good men have died from trying to interpret ridiculous rules of engagement … good men have hesitated and been killed because of politicians’ PC requirements of war.

War is about hurting people and breaking things … if a people can’t deal with that, they don’t need to commit their warriors to it.

When this country gets back to dealing with reality instead of idealistic fantasy, we’ll return to a creative and productive society … until then … we’ll continue to deteriorate.

With idiots like you it doesn’t look very good

I see nothing CONTROVERSIAL in telling the truth – obama is the biggest threat that America has ever faced.

If we are to survive as a nation, obama must be removed from power.

I think the key thing here is Retired or seperated SEALs. In other words, civilians. So many Dems are so worked over this, and yet, just because you served in the military, you can never voice your opinion about the President. And yet, I remember Retired Gen Wesley Clark and Ret. Gen McPeak bashing bush and supporting Obama. And yet no outrage that a former Gen, or a former Chief of Staff was bashing a Commander in Chief. Typical, do as we say, not as we do, attitude from the Left.

You got that right Darmok….as an aside back during the civil war the General of the Union Army of the Potemac (McClelland) used to publically disparrage Lincoln for his WH armchair generalship and did so when the nation was in dire straits (during the second battle of Bull Run or Manasses) and getting beat badly by the brilliant R E Lee.

I think a lot of folks could learn something valuable about just how nasty the media was back then. That kind of public discourse was protected under the 1st amendment and no one argued against airing any opinion (good or bad). Todays media is much more subdued and totally partisan.

@Darmok – Also, did anyone happened to mentioned, that Generals are the only serving Soldiers who never really retire and could at any time be called back into action? Still while they are so call retired their speech is protected, but maybe we need to call them back into action like McArthur did in the Korean War and then UCMJ their butts. Then again, that is not what we stand for, so I regress and say to our Seals not to worry about these tools, and keep on preaching! Oh, well said Darmok!!
