‘He Got What He Deserved’: Texas Dad Beats His Daughter’s Molester to Death

A Texas father beat a man to death after catching him molesting his 4-year-old daughter in a horse barn, The Houston Chronicle reports. The incident happened Saturday evening near Shiner, Texas.

Texas Dad Beats Man to Death After Catching Him Molesting His Four Year Old Daughter

Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon. (Source: co.lavaca.tx.us)

Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon identified the deceased as a 47-year-old man from Gonzales, Texas. He was reported dead at the scene, however, his name will not be released until his next of kin is notified.

Harmon said the father and daughter were with several other people at the family’s barn to groom and tend to the horses, according to The Chronicle. The alleged attacker was reportedly an acquaintance of the father.

The sound of the little girl’s screams were later heard coming from the barn and instinctually, the father rushed to his daughter’s aide. After reaching the barn, he found a man sexually assaulting his daughter – undoubtedly a dad’s worst nightmare.

After pulling the attacker off of her, the father repeatedly struck the man in the head.

The young girl was taken to DeTar hospital in Victoria where doctors ran tests to determine whether sexual assault had occurred, The Houston Chronicle reports. She was eventually released.

In the aftermath, nearby residents are having a hard time feeling any sympathy for the alleged child molester.

“He got what he deserved, big time,” Sonny Jaehne, a Shiner resident, told the Victoria Advocate.

Another Shiner resident Mark Harabis said he agreed with the father’s action “totally.”

“I would probably do worse,” he said. “The family will have to deal with that the rest of their lives, no matter what happens to the father. Even if they let him go, he and his child will have to deal with that the rest of their lives.”

Further, Howard Gloor, the owner of Howard’s convenient store, a popular Shiner hangout spot, told The Advocate that the whole town had pretty much come to a “consensus” about the incident.

“Everybody wants to know who it is,” Gloor said. “Everybody’s very curious about it. A lot of people have said that he got what he had coming to him. That’s been the consensus. They’ve been supportive of doing what needed to be done to take care of the problem.”

So far, no arrests have been made. A grand jury will likely decide whether any charges will be brought against the father, whose identity has not been released in an attempt to protect the 4-year-old girl.

An autopsy on the alleged attacker is expected to be performed by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office to establish the cause of death.

i agree… its called self defense and in most states a person is allowed to rescue someone that is being “raped” even in you don’t know the person. Classic case of defense of another person, and where its a family member, makes it all the easier to prove

You are allowed to come to someone’s defense and use force to stop an assault but technically, you cannot exact revenge for it. If it was anywhere but Texas, the guy would be up on Murder 1. But, there is now way in hell he will burn for that in the Lone Star State. It only takes one second to formulate the intent. I am glad he smoked the perv. One less punk ass to worry about.

The father did what anyone would do, especially catching someone in the act. Animal. I couldn’t have beat him up, but I could have shot him and would have. Children are our most precious gift. Anyone who even thinks like this in terms of children needs to be sent away for life. They obviously don’t change. Not only did this father do the right thing, but think of the other kids he saved from this. It‘s to the point that we don’t want our children/grandchildren out of our site, they are either being corrupted in school or assaulted. No trails; no investigations;Nice to see a Father acting like a father.

Not to worry abt the decedent being black. There just are not that many blacks outside the big cities in Texas. Down here, in the majority of the state, you are either Anglo or Latino. Black Americans migrated to the large cities and pretty much stayed put there. You find the occasion professional in smaller towns but few in the general labor pool. As one said previously, the decedent is likely an illegal alien.

Obammie will point Eric Holder in the direction of Shiner, TX, and yell “Sick ‘em, Eric!”

To tell you the truth, the way Obammie’s been going off his teleprompter lately, do you reckon that he might slip and say that if he had another daughter, she’d look like the victim?

Now, if Obammie and David Axelrod had a lick of sense (and they don’t), they‘d fly the victim’s father to DC, hang one of those Presidential medals around his neck and jump ahead in the polls.

Thank God that they’ll do and say just the opposite and lose ground. Old fashioned Western Justice is incomprehensible to these Daley-trained bastards.

I also think you misinterpreted snow leopards post. Snow wasn’t saying that the administration likes pedophiles, just that they seem to come down hard in instances where individuals actions seem completly justifided. Like considering prosecuting Navy Seals for punching a terrorist or something. But I’ll leave that argument for another day. Really brother, that’s not how I interpreted the post. If snow in fact believes Obama supports pedophilia, as he does infanticide, I would disagree.

I know you don’t agree, but do you at least recognize that there have been instances where the administration considered perusing things that seemed unbelievable. Like considering a court marshal for a Seal who punched a terrorist in the face or failing to prosecute the panther with the baton?

Can we at least agree there have been instances to suggest it would not be “unprecedented” to see the administration considering prosecution? At the end of the day I do not think they will, but stranger things have happened. Like the Koch brothers donating over 600 million to non political charities.

And coming from a Battle Ground state, (Insane libs do the sentencing) That’s one less ankle bracelet for the state to have to track. (Probably not effectively.) Do they use those things in Texas?

Under the Dueling Code… both parties must agree to the Duel, Time, & Place… meet Face to Face… where the Challenged selects the Weapons. Not following the Code… could be perceived as an Ambush or Murder
      ****
The Dead Guy, chose the time and place, the father accepted the challenge, and won the duel, as for face to face, the story doesn’t say if he was hit from behind or in front, so who knows, but it doesn’t matter, the guy got what he deserved.

This comment thread is the Parade of Nationalist Progressives.

No one posting here knows whether or not the dead man assaulted a child. The blog post doesn’t state the 4 year old girl was assaulted. It says she was taken to the hospital to determine if she was.

The father could be a murderer at this point. Way to jump on the Trayvon Martin band wag….oops, nope. This was “one for our side”.

Remember the old saying, “Innocent until proven guilty”? If you were murdered, woud you want 200 or so internet twits posting how awesome it was that you “got what was coming to you”?

If the dead man did indeed assault the child, I too will celebrate the death of a monster. Until you know for sure, though, you should try to temper your glee.

Time for a death penalty for child molesters. They take the life and soul of our kids and they get “treatment”. Then they get out and do it again. I’m tired of our country defending Evil! In order for there to be less crime, there has to be serious consequences. There is barely a death penalty for murder. No, they kill and then they go to jail and get a law degree. Wake up!

Even Predators alike us have Honor Codes: Soldiers fight an Enemy upon the other side, usually in defined Battle Lines… Fighters, fight Face to Face… Sports are played, Team to Team, and Face to Face… Dueling is Face to Face… where anything else, as in the Bible, is MURDER!

Your Instincts or the Conditions may over whelm you… but that is why the Codes were Written! In our System of Justice… one is suppose to Capture the Criminal and turn him/her over for a Trail by the their Peers (otherwise, why bother having a Legal System)!

I love Texas and have a few friends out there. Need to head back there again soon to visit. It’s been too long since I have been there. As for me, after living in California, Florida, NY, and North Carolina, I’ve settled back down in Alabama after I retired from the Army almost 16 years ago. Having visited some 38 of our states, I have seen a lot of places that I find very nice, while many others I have no desire to ever return. If wiki is to be believed the city of Gonzales is 92% mixed black.

The racial makeup of the city was 1.95% White, 92.40% African American, 0.74% Native American, 0.50% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 21.15% from other races, and 2.17% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 46.13% of the population.

If it is too unpopular to throw the race card, the NYT will say the perp was a white-black or a hispanic black.

What is the justification of the man who was molesting this guys daughter? Liberals don’t understand Texas for many reasons. This baffles them & I know from speaking with family N. East they were shocked he wasn’t arrested for beating this man. The mindset is so weak for liberals that everyone deserves their day in court of as the family puts it,” He’s now a man without a voice because of this.” I don’t care about this guy & neither does Texas is my reply. He walked in & the man was on top of his daughter. Maybe the problem is we’ve been too weak & these people think they can just get away with it. Why don’t we lock them up for longer? This poor little girl & her father. His one job in life is to protect that girl & now he will have the memory or what he saw & the thought of how he failed her as a father. I can‘t imagine how they’ll get through this but they will be in my prayers.

But if the guy doing the molesting is Black or Latino this administration and the Al Sharpton‘s and the Jesse Jackson’s and the New Black Panther’s will be on a rampage to have this father convicted and put in prison for a very long time. I suppose that’s possible. I know a previous administration convinced most in the United States spend trillions of dollars invading Iraq – ballooning the deficit, even more so by cutting taxes for the rich at the same time – killing five thousand Americans, all because they claimed they were 100% sure that the Iraqis were going to attack us with WMD, of which they had none, as in zero.

So,yes,i don’t know how far i would go but i stand with this Dad and what he did. But in prison they have a way to deal with those who destoy the innocent with rape or abuse of any kind. So,secure the scene, take out the prep as you will and let the courts send them to the father’s and uncles in prison to deal accordingly. They would have begged for the father to take them out now, instead of going to prison, where the guards turn away and let justice be had. If your child is murdered, all the liberal democrats will do is express their condolences concerning your dead child. or traumatized for life child. Murdered children don‘t register on the democrat party’s scale of important things; after all it has been and still is an accomplice for the murder of 56 million children, and counting, in our land.

Just playing devil’s advocate here for a second. What better way for somebody to get away with murder than by accusing the deceased of molesting his daughter and getting caught in the act? I guarantee you there will be a federal investigation IF the cold one is a member of a “protected class”-ie. Not a White Guy. You can only coach a young girl to lie to a point. They will find out if it was a legit smoking. I hope it was. But still, it will scar him.

MIL-DOT, Absolutely, there should be a complete investigation should be completed involving this incident. From what we have been told so far, many of us believe this man did the right thing while protecting his daughter. Criminals tend to get themselves killed quite often while committing their crimes. So be it, but again there is no reason to stop an investigation. If a cop so much as fires his weapon in the line of duty, and even if nobody, or any property is hit, he will still be relieved while the shooting itself is investigated.
That being said, I still hope this father is cleared of any criminal charges. Like you said, he will have to live with this for the rest of his life.

Exactly right. Nowadays, a pervert attacks or kills a kid and the govt swoops in with guns drawn, helicopter gunship support overhead to protect these creeps. And God forbid, if you DARE attempt to harm said low-life SWAT teams will gun you down like a rabid dog. That is the govt we have today.

This is an excellent example of an Ordinary Citizen Taking Action. Why involve the police, courts, etc., when the actual crime is observed in progress. Additionally, the father had every moral right to instantly kill his child’s molester. Now, what remains is the ACLU, the Hispanic Caucus, and the usual gang of whiners, cry-baby liberal, lickspittle running dogs, to come out of the wood work and accuse the man of another “trayvon” moment. However, I would bet that the grand jury of the small town where this justifiable homicide and righteous execution took place will find it impossible to return a true bill — unless, of course, the local DA is licking the shoes of the south of the border gang and la raza with hopes for more votes next time. In that case, and if the grand jury is packed with folks who prefer to speak Spanglish, then the father is doomed.

You can’t lump us all into one group of people or a class (thanks, liberals). I take exception to your prejudice. I feel shamed whenever LULAC, La Raza, and MALDEF think they can speak for me. I don’t beleive we need a month set aside for heritage. And I don‘t need any self appointed civil right’s gateway (Sharpton, Jackson, NBP, Farakkan).

@Dad – Because hispanics evidently see nothing wrong with raping little kids. Asians, Middle Easterners, Africans and hispanics ALL rape children as part of their culture. They do it all over the country. Apparently, only the white culture (Europe, America, Canada, Australia and also Russia) sees something wrong with that – and that culture includes our black population. American blacks do not rape children as a rule.

The father did exactly what most of us would do. No pity. No remorse.

Since we don’t know the race of the molester, why don’t we make him black or Mexican. This seems to suit many peoples needs to justify this crime.

There is a telling sentence in the article. The molester is “ acquaintance of the father”. Many child assaults are done by someone known to the child. Opps, that might make him white.

By way of a general question: Why isn’t Texas a red state?

Ah! I apologize for my error .. I saw “Gonzalez” and immediately thought a Mexican did it. Evidently the race or ethnicity of the dead molester is still unknown to us. Perhaps a reason for not releasing his race or ethnic classification? Could be that he is an ordinary white pedophile rapist. Sorry that I insulted the many Legal Hispanics in Texas, who, after all, comprise a huge number of people in Texas, along with the other states that the white man stole from Mexico and which will be returned to La Raza someday when the Republic of Atzlan is re-established.

I would have done the same thing if I would have caught someone molesting my child. The sick SOB can explain to the Lord what he was doing to that child, yet the Lord knows exactly what he was doing. Hey Sweetrae, I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in work with child abuse victims. The research on what makes abuse more or less difficult to deal with shows that a harsh punishment for a perpetrator shows the child it was not her fault. The worse the relationship between significant others to the child and the perpetrator, the better for the child. This father’s actions may be the most powerful healing force she receives. – Trey

But how much of that damage has been mitigated because the child knows her FATHER rescued her?
She will undoubtedly have trauma from the attack, but she knows her father loves her and will protect her! She also can rest assured that there is nothing wrong with her that prompted the attack and can feel in no way responsible for the attack (which are two feelings that sexual abuse victims tend to have to deal with, unfortunately).

This was an AWESOME thing for the father to do and I believe will ultimately help the child be able to deal with this attack. BRAVO father! BRAVO!

I am assuming that child witnessed the beating. This, in itself, could be therapeutic for the simple reason that the beating took this poor little child who was being total effect, and helpless, during the molestation to being, vicaiously, totally at cause over the molester by witnessing her father beating the hell out of him. If you have every been suppressed in some way by someone and then got the “upper hand” or suddenly became free and witnessed the suppressors defeat, you know how liberating that can be.

After all of the tough talk subsides, after all of the back-slaps, when it is all said and done, if the father could go back and do it over I bet he would choose not to beat the guy to death. Macho aside, it is not a good thing in God’s eyes. A serious ass beating would have sufficed. Just open the can,(of WA) don’t throw the whole 55 gallon drum at him. But, he did what he did though. Disagree Mil-Dot. There is no justice for the victim of rape other than the death of the rapist. Putting the perp in hospital or jail is not enough to compensate for the trauma done to the victim.

I have worked w/rape victims as a Navy Chaplain. The younger the rape, generally, the more messed up the victim. What the Dad did was cathartic for both his daughter and himself. I doubt there is a jury in Texas that would convict him. I believe it’s called “jury nullification.”

I have to say that’s a good way of phrasing it–someone molesting your child isn’t good grounds for a vengeful action, but if you happen to injure or kill them in self-defense of your child, that must be taken into account as a heavily mitigating, and possibly justified, act of defending an innocent in danger whose rights are being actively violated.
