A Danvers, Mass., couple with two small children thought a romp through the local corn maze would be fun. But when they couldn’t find the exit and it got dark, it turned into a “nightmare.”
Toting a 3-week-old baby, the mother frantically called 911 when she’d had enough and wanted to be found. Within 10 minutes, the patrol officer and his K-9 found the family inside Connor’s Farm maze. They were 25 feet from the exit.

Posted on October 12, 2011 at 10:59pmI’ve lived in Iowa my whole life…Cornfields are scary…especially at Halloween. The rattling leaves of corn, the wind, the cold spots, the psychotic killers, or Children of the Corn Zombies…its very intense.
A little clue to people trapped in a corn maze, urinate before you enter the maze, choose the path that is most worn, following the most footsteps. Before you call 911, break off a stalk of corn, wave it violently above your head and scream bloody murder. Remove articles of clothing at every junction. When help is on the way, don’t stay in one spot too long.
For city folks, corn in planted in rows. If you following the same row, you will eventually come to a fence or a road or the evil Master of the Maize.

Posted on October 12, 2011 at 11:02pmIt’s Massachusetts!!! This woman had to be a dumb liberal feminist. Only a liberal would expect a government agency to help them out of a cornfield. Good Lord. They don’t know where food comes from, wouldn’t possibly hunt for it, and now the capitalist corn maze owners will probably be sued for emotional stress to her and the baby. Out with a three week old baby! Where was the hubby? Or Baby Daddy? This is Obama’s dream voter -Dumb, incapable, and easily spooked by really imposing corn stalks.
Report Post »MrMagoo
Posted on October 12, 2011 at 6:24pmShouldn’t the owners of this maze know how many are going in?And be assured that all who entered have made it out by closing time/dark?
Its like those stories of people scuba diving and then being left behind, out in the ocean.Nobody counted bodies going in-coming out.
In any case,it was a cornfield for Pete’s sake.Anyone with half a lick of sense would know to just walk through it,as said earlier.Betcha 10-1 they were Libs.

Posted on October 12, 2011 at 6:11pmBeen there, done that. I didn’t have a cell phone. I yelled that I was lost for several minutes, then decided that since no one was answering or coming, orientation 101 was the order of the day. A thunderstorm and high wind were rolling in and I wasn’t about to have my family soaked. I took my direction off the lay of the land and where the light was brightest and cut a straight path through the maze with my family. I was out in three minutes or less. I got chewed out by the management and told next time I should call for help. I told them I did call, no one came, and there would be no next time. They didn’t need to worry about earning any more money off me. Of course, they didn’t care. It was a government funded corn maze.
Report Post »skitrees
Posted on October 12, 2011 at 6:23pmThat was my thoughts exactly….it wasn’t like the corn was made out of sharpened razor wire or built on a mine field…it’s CORN – you can walk through it. “Oh government, please come and save me from myself!”
