GOP presidential hopeful Rick Santorum was interrupted by protesters multiple times while on the trail this weekend in Oklahoma. The Wall Street Journal has more:
But at rallies in Oklahoma City and Broken Arrow, protesters sought to prove otherwise.
At the Capitol, Occupy Wall Street protesters repeatedly interrupted Mr. Santorum, trying to drown out his speech with chants of “Pro-life, pro-war, what are you fighting for?” and “Get your hate out of our state.”
Santorum supporters shouted back with “We pick Rick!” The former Pennsylvania senator initially said that the protesters had a right to their opinions but should let both sides be heard. After they persisted, he suggested that they should work a “little bit instead of coming to these events and screaming at people.”
At Grace Church in Broken Arrow, a heckler started yelling as soon as Mr. Santorum took the stage. The heckler was quickly removed.
“Like I said, it’s always great to feel welcome here,” Mr. Santorum said with a smile.
Here’s video from one of the interruptions:

Posted on March 5, 2012 at 11:22pmIt is a Communist tactic to shout down a speaker who opposes your viewpoint so that others cannot hear what the speaker has to say. I don’t think this will work too much longer in our Country. True Americans want to hear what a candidate has to say. True Americans will only take rudeness for a short period of time. True Americans are getting frustrated with the rude little socialists & are shouting back. Rude little socialists will loose.

And just to insure that your prayer is not answered, I’m praying the opposite of it: I’d rather we keep the same POS in office now than change saddles on the same horse.

Posted on March 5, 2012 at 4:30pmI see few if any comments about the free speech of those attending these functions and wanting to hear what Mr. Santorum had to say.
If you object to Rick Santorum as President of the United States of America, then you have no business going to one of his rallies with the intent of disrupting it.
If he comes any where near my town and holds a rally, I will be there with some potent pepper spray and a pocket billy club to silence these idiots who are infringing on my rights to hear the candidate of my choice speak.

Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin wanted a true conservative to win that race and endorsed Rand Paul. Santorum opposed them in this effort. Today we are to believe that Santorum’s “Tea Party?” or “anti-establishment?” Yeah right.

Posted on March 5, 2012 at 1:56pmHow many church services did Santorum attend this weekend? Here in Memphis yesterday, he attended Bellevue Baptist Church ( the largest mega-church in Memphis) and then he went across the street to St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Church for their 10:30 AM mass. Now this article says that he was at Grace Church in OK. He was church-hopping at record speed! This is a classic career politician move, done by none other than a classic career politician!

Posted on March 5, 2012 at 2:55pm@Godlovinmom, that’s a slight possibility, but I doubt it. Tennessee is known for being a very religious state. He CHOSE to come to TN on a Sunday for that very reason! Some Christians are soooo gullible. Just drop the word “Christian” a couple of times or show up in church, and that automatically means that that person IS a Christian. I’m not saying that Santorum is not a Christian, but he sure is using that fact to get the gullible Christian’s vote (By the way, I am a Christian.) The whole thing just seems phony to me.

Report Post »A lot of people (politicians included) don’t really know what “progressive” is in American politics. Glenn Beck did a very good job educating folks over the past 3 years, but when did Romney say that he is “progressive”? Without a good historical background, then it is possible that someone thinks of “progressive” as being the same as “new ideas” “pro growth” and other good stuff. The fact that Gingrich has a solid background as an historian makes me cringe when I hear him praise progressives.
Speaking of Gingrich, it looks like he has decided to let Romney take the nomination. If Newt had dropped out today and endorsed Santorum, then the Romney nomination would not be such a sure thing. If Newt really does hate Romney, then he has an odd way of showing it.

Posted on March 5, 2012 at 12:56pmSantorum lies AGAIN
Santorum lost his senate seat in PA over scandals.
He wasn’t living in PA when he was senator. He bought a $700,000 mansion in VA and was living there. He claimed his residence was a $70,000 2 bedroom house outside Pittsburgh, he has 7 kids. It was on the news several times, run down grass not cut, no furniture. But he claimed to commute back there every week. He refused to back down.
Then he rented it out and bad for him, the renters registered to vote with Santorum’s address. Still Santorum wouldn’t back down and claimed to live there on tv. Well it gets better.
Santorum then enrolled his kids in some online charter school and billed the school district in PA $20,000 per kid per year for their education, while he was living in VA. The school district won against him, but missed some sort of legal deadline. Santorum has never paid the money back to date.
I’m sure this all will come out, it was all over the news here back then.
