Heckling From AIDS Activists Irritates Obama During Boston Rally

BOSTON (AP) — With the congressional elections fast approaching, President Barack Obama acknowledged Saturday that the hope and energy he stirred during his presidential campaign may have faded in the face of a grinding economic crisis.
“We’re doing the grinding, sometimes frustrating work of actually delivering change. I know it can be discouraging,” Obama told a crowd of 10,000 at an energetic rally at Boston’s Hynes Convention Center.
Obama came to Boston to campaign for his friend and political ally, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, who is struggling to overcome the anti-incumbent mood that has swept across the country during this election season.Obama said Patrick’s opponent is banking on the same strategy as national Republicans.
Obama’s remarks were interrupted twice by protesters demanding more funding for HIV/AIDS. Supporters in the crowd tried to drowned out the protesters by chanting, “Yes We Can,” Obama’s slogan during the 2008 presidential campaign.
(via HotAirPundit — who has a second video of more heckling that can be seen here)
Obama responded directly to the protesters, saying his administration had increased AIDS funding and told them to, “take a look at what the Republican leadership has to say about AIDS funding.”
Obama called on Democrats to show up on election day.
“I need all of you to be clear,” he told the crowd, “over the next two weeks this election is a choice and the stakes could not be higher.”
Obama also spoke at a fundraiser near Boston Saturday that was expected to raise $500,000 for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

I have never seen a President of this great and beautiful land so angry, so devisive, so full of lies, so totally unpresidential. Never did get it when he was running for the presidency and seems like all we heard was “what a fabulous speaker” – “such a brilliant man” and on and on – then chills running down MSNBCer’s legs – oh and did I mention people passing out?????????????? All seems like such a horrible nightmare – but no here we are – nearly 2 years into it and everything we ever stood for, fought so hard for is just close to being taken totally down. WAKE UP America – fear this election is our last chance to TAKE our AMERICA back.

Posted on October 16, 2010 at 9:36pmI received this in an email and thought it was worth posting as a reminder of what and when things happened….. please cut and paste if you agree
Remember January 3, 2007
…… I don‘t understand WHY the people running for office don’t say this in their ads!!!
The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009 it was actually January 3, 2007 the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, the start of the 110th Congress.
The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.
For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this:
January 3, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress:
At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush’s Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!
Remember the day.
January 3, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over as Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over as Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee.
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
Thank Congress for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment to this CRISIS by dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac fiasco’s!
(BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001, because it was financially risky for the U.S. economy, but no one was listening).
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA.
And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie??? OBAMA and the Democratic Congress.
So when someone tries to blame Bush…
REMEMBER JANUARY 3, 2007…. THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!”
Bush may have been in the car, but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel they were driving. Set the record straight on Bush!
So, as you listen to all the commercials and media from the Democrats who are now distancing themselves from their voting record and their party, remember how they didn‘t listen to you when you said you didn’t want all the bailouts, you didn’t want the health care bill, you didn’t want cap and trade, you didn‘t want them to continue spending money we don’t have.
I’m not forgetting their complicity in getting us into this mess, and I’ll be marking my vote accordingly!

Yes Mr President, of america into the ever loving ground!
Why does he continue to blame everything on everyone else, especially the American people, instead of listening to our frustrations and get the heck out of our way of restoring the country to the people of America.
In the case of AIDS funding what we need to honestly do is increase private and charity donations for the research in treating and hopefully finally ridding our world of the sickness.
I have a friend who got it via a blood transfusion, and the treatments of today have kept him alive for the time – yes there is more we can do.
So Mr President if you would just stop the complaining and whining over the heckling by showing some spine, encourage fundraising among corporations and charities to help in research and the treatments.

During his time in office, President Obama has added more to the national debt than Presidents Washington through Reagan combined through massive spending projects like the nearly trillion dollar stimulus package, jobs bill, and health care reform act.
