‘Hello, Communist Party Calling’: A New Reason to Be on the Do-Not-Dial List

Imagine hearing the phone ring, picking it up, and hearing on the other line, “Hello, Communist Party calling.” For some recent Party recruits, that‘s exactly what’s happening. And it all seems part of the continuing campaign to portray comrades as your friendly neighborhood communists:

The Communist Party USA has started a national phone campaign to call people who have recently signed up to become members. And while that may not be surprising, what is is the sheer number of people phone volunteers are calling: 1,500. That’s how many people have recently joined the party — and that’s just through the internet.

“It was a great reception. People really want to be a part of the Communist Party,” Jonathan, one of the phone bankers, told the CPUSA website People’s World. “Several people were very excited and said, ‘I was wondering when someone was going to call me.’”

“I spoke with a lot of young people who had signed up on the CPUSA website and were really excited to be having their first conversation with an actual member,” said Noah Toler. “Mainly people were interested in what the Party was thinking about this or that issue.”

In the past, CPUSA has worked hard to got people to look past the ideology’s checkered past. Not only do they have game night, but there’s also a bunch of regular Joes joining in:

And just in case there was any doubt that the communists were involved in the recent protest wave sweeping the country, the site confirms it:

Many were already active with the Party and YCL locally, in their unions, or through local struggles. A lot expressed enthusiasm for developments in Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio and the protest wave sweeping the country. They were happy to know the Party and YCL were deeply involved in the fight. [Emphasis added]

“A lot of people were very happy to hear what we were doing,” Janet Edburg, another phone volunteer, said. “One member was so excited about what was happening in Wisconsin I thought he was going to jump out of the phone!”

There is some reason for the telemarketing comrades to be excited. According to a recent Rassmusen poll, cited by the Party, “10 percent say that the ‘communist system of economics and politics’ is better for middle-class Americans,“ while ”eleven percent think ‘communism’ is a ‘morally superior’ system to that which is currently in place in the U.S.”

That may not seem like a lot until CPUSA puts it into perspective: 11 percent is “roughly 15 million Americans.”

Almost makes you want to jump out of something other than Edburg’s phone.

    Several have asked; ‘…I don‘t understand’, ‘What’s happening in this Country’, that an active, communist party in America is speaking out and successfully recruiting. The answer is…EVIL is happening. These Evils have a poster boy in the white house. B. Hussein’s closest friends are Van Jones, Anita Dunn, Valerie Jared, Cass Sunstein, Bill Ayers, Rev Wright and on & on & on. Like sticks to like, evil sticks to evil and hatred for this country is evil’s common denominator!
    Glenn has recently stated that he doesn’t know when Jesus will come back, but he knows Jesus WILL come back! I think I know when Jesus will come back. When there is more EVIL than good on this planet, Jesus will return. BEWARE; evil includes those who SEE & KNOW the atrocities going on and REFUSE to speak out and REFUSE to recruit others against the EVIL and REFUSE to have a hand in stopping the EVILS!!!     We should have every tea party member in America click the join button on their website and flood their system withe millions of new members.This would keep them busy for a while. Or even better join and pretend to be a member, wait for for one of their large rally’s and bring out the tea party signs. That would be funny.

    TheBlaze is stooping to a new low using this headline go garner readers.

    The Do Not Call List will not keep the CPUSA from calling those that have already signed up. Tthe DNCL will not keep political parties or not for profits from calling.

    The Blaze needs to change the headline.

      Answer this for me, Commie-lover….. since we locked up innocent Japanese (wrongly, I might add) during the WW2, why would we not lock up, or do worse to people who want to overthrow our our economic system and take our freedoms?

      What you fail to recognize is that stating your opinions in nations ruled by communist parties (even though they really failed to do anything other than claim to be socialist) outlawed the right to express your political views because each one ends up with a crazed authoritarian at its head. For the Soviet Union, it was Josef Stalin that outlawed the right to express political beliefs other than socialism and communism. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels specifically state in the “Communist Manifesto” that if the government fails to provide those they govern with political freedoms, the people need to grab their rifles and revolt against the corrupt government.
      Communism is not made to strip people of their rights, it is the fault of power-hungry maniacs that this has happened repeatedly.

      Historically, Joe McCarthy was spot on. In the 1920s and 1930s, the Soviet Union dumped infiltrators into this country who worked their way into government and institutions of higher learning, and such. It’s obvious. My credentials to make such a statement? History degree with Progressive Era specialization, adjudicated SBI, Top Secret/Code Word clearance and access, former Soviet Threat expert.     I had a high school teacher explain a number of year ago that he could essentially sell us on Communism. He did not. Instead he taught us why the US and Capitalism produced an exceptional country. He passed a few years ago and I will never forget him.

      Wow. I had the opposite in high school. I had a history teacher (who happened to double as a sports coach) teach American exceptionalism. Class was called Americanism VS Communism. Can you believe it?!?! I was so lucky. This was early 80′s. I guess Reagan did make the country feel better about itself.

      Agreed! I had a friend who was one of the Vietnamese “Boat People” that escaped communism in his late teens. He described in detail what life was like. I’d liken it to a wrongfully-convicted person doing a life sentence in a medium security prison. Half a day in a holding cell in county jail was way too much of that for me.

      He loved his life in America and always had a smile on his face, up until his untimely death at age 43. Heart attack. Just knowing him helped me see freedom in a better light.

      They are predators that prey on the young and inexperienced and fill their minds with mushy unconnected dreams of some kind of paradise that strongly resembles the *conditions* they grew up in with a family – e.g. they don’t have to pay rent, their food is provided, their medical care is taken care of, they have to contribute nothing of value besides “learning to grow themselves” if even that. Since they just came out of that environment (most all of these ungifted youths come from middle class or higher income bracket households) they think that it’s natural and right to continue this kind of thing.

      Deductive and inductive logic and the school of hard knocks hasn’t been drilled into most of their heads yet, so they are perfect recruits. That’s the appeal of communism, it promises to take the place of mom & dad and let kids continue to be irresponsible kids for life.

      The leadership of this movement of course knows better, they are nothing more than hard, cynical, manipulative thieves, and they know it.

      How about Luxembourg, Norway, Iceland, Ireland, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Netherlands? They are all Socialist countries.
      There is a misrepresentation of Communism/Socialism as an authoritarian dictatorship such as North Korea, Nazi Germany and the U.S.S.R.; this would be true if they were actually Communist/Socialist, but they do not fit the classification. These states are actually Fascist, which differs greatly from Communism and Socialism. Fascism dictates that citizens do not know what is best for themselves and as such the government should have complete control over their lives. This is the exact opposite of Marxist thought, which is that in a pure Communistic state the people should have complete influential control over government law and policy. Communism/Socialism preaches a classless society that is both economically equal and in which everyone has a say in government policies.

      Simply put the policies of Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini are to the extreme Right (Fascism) where as the policies of Marxist/Lenin thought are to the extreme Left (Communism and Socialism).

      Communism is really just a State Religion. The state becomes your god, and dictates what is morally good and where your time, money and humanitarian efforts are to be distributed. I find it cleaver, but ironic, that they had the Battle Hymn of the Republic playing in the background. Communism vs. Republic…there is no comparison. Care for your fellow man and social relief belongs in the Churchs and other private arenas….not in our government. If it is guided by our government at all it is “forced humanitarian relief” and we all become members of that state religion at that point.

    Heres a crazy idea, why don’t we stop tolerating Communists in our midst and instead outlaw them, round them up and put them in prison where they belong? We can start the process at all the union headquarters around the country.       Agreed completely. Stop with all the talk of accepting others ideas, or in some cases, even listening to them. Multiculturalism is a word created to be used against us, and the Progressives/Communists have done a good job of doing just that.
      Back in the height of the Cold War, the Communists themselves said that they would tear us apart from within. Americans need to learn to stop accomodating ideas not compatable with our country’s constitution. Stop being shouted down by the Communist left.       I really don’t understand, where is the gov’t agents shutting this down? I am fed up, disgusted and fearful for our country. Did I say OVERTHROW the govt last post? Yeah, I guess I did, I don’t really mean that, I was mad and made a knee jerk reactionary statement, but as God is my witness, how can we let this stand?

      Something they probably will not address in their phone calls is the Communist Party’s excellent record of spreading poverty throughout the population and control of the media. These accomplishments were showcased throughout the cold war years in several occupied countries of eastern Europe. The influence of this expertise is seen today as socialism!

      Funny, but they’d probably be all too eager to talk to your 5 yr old! They prefer to get to them young, if babies could read they’d probably be hanging fliers in the maternity ward nurserys! My son is 7 and I just had “the talk” with him the other day. Not the one the Libs would have me having, I mean the one about American exceptionalism and how our #1 enemy is communism.

      Where in the hell is the outrage? People should be pissed off about this!
      Have you folks forgotten that between Korea and Vietnam American soldiers fought, died, lost limbs and blood fighting against the spread of communism! And now the communist are in the White House and are now conducting telemarketing solicitations to the American People and probably from the White House!

      Folks! The government with the democrats and republicans has sold America out! They have sold you out! Where is your anger? This is serious stuff folks! You need to wake up and look around. The U.S. Constitution has been invalidated by these democrats and republicans.

      Think about it! You have communist calling people at home and muslims demanding sharia law here in America! And your government representative is ignoring you, but paying very much attention to them. WAKE UP PEOPLE!

      This crap make me sick to my stomach. I’d be that NOT ONE of them could tell you what communism really stands for or what it means. We‘ve lost control of our schools and higher education to these radicals that weren’t taken serious just a few decades ago. My grandfather must be spinning in his grave.

      I spent 26 years in the U.S. Navy during the cold war doing my part to keep communism contained. I retired in 1996 and now look what happened. I guess i was more effective than I thought. They need to call me. By the time I get done with them they will hang-up on me rather than vice versa.

      I believe it’s time to gather these “15 million” communism lovers and send them on a “student exchange” program to Cuba for about a year. Then we bring them back and ask them each to publicly express their thoughts, and relate their experience.

      We’ll see how long the CPUSA lasts after that. Where the hell if Joe McCarthy??
