Help Iran Calls Wall Street Protests ‘American Spring’

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — An Iranian military commander said Sunday that the protests spreading from New York’s Wall Street to other U.S. cities are the beginning of an “American Spring,” likening them to the uprisings that toppled Arab autocrats in the Middle East.

Gen. Masoud Jazayeri of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said the protests against corporate greed and the gap between rich and poor are a revolution in the making that will topple what he called the Western capitalist system.

The Occupy Wall Street movement started in New York City last month and is spreading to other parts of the country. The loosely affiliated movement is peacefully protesting the power of the financial and political sectors.

Jazayeri said President Barack Obama’s election promises of change have reached a dead end.

“The failure of the U.S. president to resolve the Wall Street crisis will turn this economic movement into a political and social movement protesting the very structure of the U.S. government,” the official IRNA news agency quoted Jazayeri as saying Sunday.

“A revolution and a comprehensive movement against corruption in the U.S. is in the making. The last phase will be the collapse of the Western capitalist system,” he said, according to IRNA.

    Too bad they didn’t actually choose the Spring to stage their protests, the cold is coming, snow and miserable weather, and their resolve will take them back to their heated homes, televisions, internet, appliances and comfortable furniture, because they aren’t poor (by world standards, anyway), they are covetous and by nature not highly motivated to accomplish anything. It may be best to simply ignore, stand back, and watch them fizzle into mere memory.

    In other words, these protests are an intellectual toddler’s temper tantrum by brats en masse, turn your back and wait for them to wear themselves out.

    Opinion: Spring? No don’t think so; Liberals, carrying a idol of gold, who demanded easy loads to poor over what they could afford complaining about the results ; of these churches from their sites: “service and social justice ministries of the Church”, “promoting equity for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning people”, “Supporting Detained Asylum Seekers and Those Paroled from Immigration”, …for “who request asylum at a U.S. port of entry are arrested, handcuffed and confined to immigration detention”, “Anti-Death Penalty”, “against the top handgun manufactures”, “affirming any and all who identify as lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning, polysexual, asexual, pansexual, omnisexual,”. There was a name I did NOT see in the mission statements etc JESUS or CHRIST! Churches maybe Christian church doubtful!

    How silly that Iran even comments on American politics. They, with their Islamic Theology and Sharia Laws that denies the most basic rights of any female in the twenty-first century, should be dismissed out of hand.

    There isn’t any kind of “movement” by these inane, mob protestors. They’re just jealous of the success of the Tea Party movement, that actually made a real difference in the 2010 elections.

    Barack Obama is nothing but a fool, with his calls to “pass his idiotic bill, now”. It’s the DEMOCRATS in the SENATE that refuse to pass his bill. Harry Reid won’t even bring it up for vote, because he knows that it will fail.

    Glenn Beck called this whole revolution uprising several months back (last winter in fact). He was the only person that said how it would spread from the Middle East to Europe to the US. I had a hard time believing it, but I was also concerned at what he was saying. As it turns out he was right and predicted it just like a psychic. I don’t know how Beck saw it all coming, but he did. People are without jobs because the last 10 years were spent doing “wealth redistribution” from the US to Iraq in a nation building plan. While all that was happening, we had US corporations ship jobs left and right to China. Now nobody can figure out why there are no jobs in the US. It’s not rocket science. The final nail was putting the US in debt by several trillion more dollars in a bailout of the banks that nobody wanted in the first place. Beck was right in his prediction. The last prediction that Beck has warned about is to “be prepared” for whatever lies ahead. He sees a bad future and with is accuracy, I’d be worried too.

    I don’t really care what a puppet of the Iran’s Revolutionary Guard or IRNA news agency has to say about anything. If maybe he/they would renounce Islam, violence and the repression and murder of their own people I may consider paying attention.

    Since this site is choosing to ignore Sarah Palin now…. I submit a video you have to watch. It is Sarah Palin’s speech on Friday night. This is what I consider to be one of, if not the best, speech that Sarah Palin has ever given… especially after her saying no to running for the Presidency.

    Question… after you watch it, do you really think any of the Republican candidates could or would be able to make a similar speech. That is why she is not running. She has a more important mission…. to attack the entire corrupt system and to promote her Conservative principles.

      I attended that event in St. Charles this past Friday evening. It was very good. GB was the star of the night. Sarah was good but not all that you make it out to be.The crowd really woke up after she was finished.

      She has a big role in the conservative cause but it will be in the background.
