Thank you, Blaze readers. Thank you more than 2 million times.
Your participation in the one-day, flash poll of our readers provided some amazing information. We will share some of the highlights here, but also encourage you to wade through some of the “results” of the poll on the page itself. They are quite revealing.
As we start mining the data from this survey a few fast facts pop to the surface.
TYPICAL BLAZE READERS ARE:
- MALES (72%), MARRIED (78%), WITH CHILDREN (77%), AND OVER 35 YEARS OF AGE
- REGISTERED VOTERS… WHO ALSO VOTED IN THE LAST ELECTION AND PLAN ON VOTING IN 2012
- GUN OWNERS… WHO WOULD ALSO SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE SECOND AMENDMENT
- EDUCATED AND YOU READ – 80% ATTENDED COLLEGE AND 60% READ MORE THAN 12 BOOKS A YEAR
- BELIEVERS IN CAPITALISM AS THE ONLY SYSTEM OF GOVT FOR FREEDOM-LOVING PEOPLE
- HOPING WE DRILL FOR OIL AND GAS HERE AT HOME
- BELIEVERS (90% BELIEVE IN GOD, 80% ATTEND CHURCH REGULARLY)
- READY FOR A FEMALE PRESIDENT (85% SUPPORT)
- PET OWNERS, ALTHOUGH DOGS ARE PREFERRED OVER CATS
Most of you would like to:
- ABOLISH THE EPA, DEPT OF EDUCATION, AND THE FEDERAL RESERVE
Some of the curious statistics:
- SOCIAL MEDIA – YOU PREFER FACEBOOK (32% USE IT) TO TWITTER (ONLY 8% OF YOU ARE TWEETING)
- JUST ABOUT 1/3rd OF YOU CLAIM TO BE IN THE TEA PARTY, BUT MOST OF YOU (60+%) HAVE A FAVORABLE VIEW OF THE TEA PARTY
- VERY FEW OF YOU ARE VEGETARIANS OR VEGANS (2% – Sorry Stu)
Again, we appreciate your participation in this poll as it helps us know more about you and what you interested in reading. (It helps the Sales people too.)
If you haven’t taken the poll yet, you can do so here.

Posted on December 23, 2011 at 12:51pmI think it’s only fair that if the “Blaze” is going to attempt to stand for truth, that they let their members know what they are up against. Every time you go online; every time you blog you are leaving an electronic trail, in that you are painting yourself as a target of a tyranny.

Silent Majority? 2 million responses < 1% of US Population
@Eliasim
The government doesn't need the internet and its "virtual trail" to determine who you are and what you believe. If you really think they are malicious and evil then it shouldn't be hard to imagine them just seeing how each person voted and addressing the "problem" from there.
Don't be so paranoid, you sound foolish.

“as I figure it we are the silent majority unable to mobilize effectively ”
Yep… we are unable to mobilize… BUT, because we don’t have an effective leader…
So, we send endless “cutsey” little emails, sign petitions, and do other “feel good” cr@p, while obama, the dimocrats and the RINOs ignore our Constitution and decimate our Capitalist system…
How long are we gonna put up with it???

I’m not sure it was set up that way, just because you clicked on ‘male/female‘ doesn’t mean it recorded all your votes as ‘from a male’ or ‘from a female’. I may be wrong but I think each one of the questions gives a separate data result.
In simple terms the whole poll is not compiled together so there is no way to tell how person A answered question 1, 2, or 3. Compared to how person B answered the same questions.

Most of the bad organizations like AARP are organized by liberals who care about two things, your money and your vote. The government likes organizations like AARP because they are easy to control. They do not like church organizations because they cannot control them.

Posted on December 23, 2011 at 6:26pm@VoteBushIn12 – No one seriously believes that 100% of the “silent majority” voted here . . . on Glenn Beck’s The Blaze . . . within the 24 hour allotted time period.
There is the small chance that the two million responses represent family, extended family, friends, neighbors, etc. You know, a few of the people who didn’t actually vote.
@Eliasim – “The government” may not make it out of my “neighborhood” if they come to drag one of “us” away. Think about who the players actually are. It is not as if an entire division of troops will be deployed to come and knock on my door. We may even get wind of what is happening and be able to defend ourselves of perceived “tyrants”.
I don’t think you are the first one to come to the understanding that electronic footprints may be tracked and lead back to individuals. It’s time that “we” as in “We the People” become the spokesmen for what we will license our government to do on our behalf.

This is why I use my actual name online. They don’t need to “hunt” for me. Here I am.
I have nothing to hide. Take me at face value – flaws and all.
If I can be a target or a shield out in front, that emboldens others to stand up to any degree, I am proud to do so. If/when they come to take people away, us easy targets will be the first to go. I am in a position to assume that risk and responsibility, so I do. I am proud to stand in front of others and lead them into the fray.

Yesterday after family and early Christmas I noticed a new member The Postman an anti GB member so checked member date and Walla–one day member. This more fun than tv and with time on hands (my mom always said idle hands are the devil’s workshop) rather than doing the survey (ah um the weaker sex) spent my idle time checking how leftist liberals manage to control every story on comment section and manipulate until story disappears and reappears as political ambiguous or hateful anti Fox and GB. New names a common characteristic also a factor. Note and pen in hand checked date member enrolled. Sept 2010 very impressive and all months managed. It works this way: Comment, check date, comment responder, check date and thus and so. Eliasim on and on and on. To answer one of the comments by steelhead there are not 20,000 people on this site how could anyone tell as space is controlled by garbage collection extremists who want no voice by GBTV or Glenn loyalists ie argue Christianity vs Mormons, etc. Don’t believe me? My dad and both of my sisters took the poll. I haven‘t looked at every post but I don’t think they commented. That’s 3 people just in my family. Not everyone comments,. But of course that still leaves you ridiculing a poll that out paces your huff`n`puff post polls, faux news polls, ras poll, and real clear poli polls. The sample size poll is an indicator of a perception. Seems to me the number of respondents to THE BLAZE poll takes in a much broader populace trend.
Whether it was 20K or 2 mil neither adds to, nor takes away from the trend on responses.

Report Post »Glass Steagall vs. Obama: the Choice is Yours HR 1489
NO FED, NO PAIN
The current weight of trillions of dollars in gambling debts, foisted on the U.S. taxpayers in the 2008-2011bailout of Wall St. and the City of London, is currently obliterating and destroying the economy of the United States and its people. We must change course immediately.
The first step is to reinstate Glass-Steagall. Without a return to the original Franklin Roosevelt ( AT LEAST THE POOR BASTARD TRY) Glass- Steagall standard, there is no possibility of the continued existence of the United States, as economist Lyndon LaRouche has insisted. Only the re-imposition of the FDR Glass-Steagall principle will separate commercial from speculative banking, thus freeing the nation from obligations to Wall St. and the City of London, and re-establishing a credit system for rebuilding the nation.
H.R. 1489, the Return to Prudent Banking Act of 2011, is now before the House of Representatives, which aims “to … revive the separation between commercial banking and the securities business, in the manner provided in the Banking Act of 1933, the so-called ‘Glass-Steagall Act.’”
We, the undersigned, therefore demand that Congress immediately act to pass H.R. 1489, and identical
legislation in the Senate, as the indispensable first measure to save the nation.

It was overturned by the GLB Law, which would’ve been fine, if it weren’t threatened by Billy-Bob Clinton for veto unless the CRA was strengthened through an admendment. It was amended by Dodd and Schumer and Bob Graham was so p.o.’d that he almost yanked the Bill…in hindsight, he should have.
Read some history.

Until you can coherently convey your thoughts or questions, you’re not likely to get the “response” you are seeking.
But if you are insinuating that 5000 different people, took the poll 400 times each to account for the 2,000,000 figure, me thinks you is nuts.

Posted on December 23, 2011 at 11:46amno you cannot have another system in a republic and have capitalism work. Socialism always needs more money. They take it from the taxpayer, whose taxes have to continually be raised for the cries of: government should do more. That will cut into the free market and therefore capitalism. I am from Germany and you can say that it has a capitalistic socialistic system, which now cannot pay it’s bills. And I saw what it was like in the eastern Germany. No, thank you.

Yep. When Capitalism is the economy and socialism is the civilization the misery will always be felt equally by those not in control. Liberty is not personal, it’s shared in the exact same way. It crushes individual exceptionalism and will ALWAYS lead inevitably to anarchy. Anarchy will always result in a Tyranny under a Dictatorial Oligarch.
Every person is different and always will be. You cannot impose restrictions on some to promote others without creating dark sentiment. People will revolt. People are endowed with a desire to excel independent of the force of another. No Law ever written can change the wings of the desire to rise above our own limitations.

If Glenn is against Paul because of the Israel thing, I can understand that….I struggled with that myself for a little bit, but then I realized that voting against my beliefs just because of the Israel thing is not the right choice. One of the things that Glenn brought to light over the past few years was the difference between manifest destiny, and divine providence. This is why I hold no shame or guilt in my decision to vote Ron Paul…..
I am open to change if someone could step up with the same constitutional views, and consistency as Paul, but I don’t see that happening. I would prefer someone who could speak better, and stronger but i would have to have as much trust in them as I do Paul. Paul says a few things that I am not in favor of, but at least I know he is being honest, and i can take what he says to the bank.

Non Sequitur. That’s like saying if the phone rings while an airplane flies overhead, then obviously planes flying overhead causes phones to ring.
The only reason the RP zombies flock to The Blaze is because it is THE anti-Obama news site & blog. They are hoping that somehow RP becomes POTUS, and then will legalize marijuana. It won’t happen. RP will go the way of Ross Perot. Drugs will still be illegal. Zombies will still be brain dead.

Posted on December 23, 2011 at 2:43pmI think Glenn Beck is not openly supporting Ron Paul because he knows it would not have a good effect on his campaign. Ron Pauls view on foriegn policy is CONSTITUTIONALLY LIMITED. IF congress (the people) demand to support Isreal and Isreal is in need, requesting assistance, Ron Paul would put the full force of our military might into action. I have no doubt Ron Paul would do the constitutionally correct action.
Every time I see Glenn talk about the candidates he talks about the direction they need to be going and he even states that Ron Paul is the only one headed in that direction but gets hung up on the Isreal/Arab issue. Supporting Ron Paul is not an anti Isreal position. It is however a PRO CONSTITUTIONAL position, giving priority back to the National interest and basis of LAW in our great nation.
Non-Intervention IS NOT Isolationist ideology!
Constitutional adherance IS NOT anti-semetic!
Conservative ideology IS NOT progressive or aggressive!
Military retraction DOES NOT mean Defense reduction! (if anything, it will increase defense readiness)
I love it when people expose themselves to be progressives by calling Ron Paul a kook or a nut. They expose the level of their indoctrination into the progressive agenda. It is a simple fact that they are not for the restoration of Constitutional law and guidence, which is the ony way to save our Nation.
No matter how you slice it, progressive = NWO. doesnt matter whether it has a D or an R behind it.

Mike Huckabee was the right man to represent conservatives not McCain. The US main stream broadcast and print media, which is still the main source of news and information for over 50% of Americans, is 100% backing Obama. Therefore, it was never a fair exchange of ideas or debates. The liberals were massively over funded and much better organized on the ground. I’ve never gone to the site of someone I disagree with to post incendiary, lying emotional insults.
A lot of trolls get paid to do so.
I’d much rather read a troll who spews their garbage up front, than read the half lies of someone trying to appear like a conservative and honest person but who then attempts to covertly hide their manipulations.
One of the best songs by the late Keith Green is called “No One Believes in Me Any More” – the words of which are supposedly sung by satan, saying “I put some truth in every lie to tickle itching ears, You know I‘m drawing people just like flies ’Cause they like what they hear. I’m gaining power by the hour, they’re falling by the score, You know, it‘s getting very simple now ’Cause no one believes in me any more.” Well, I believe 100% the father of lies exists and uses trolls all over the internet, but mostly on conservative and God supporting sites. Let ‘em talk all they want. “By their fruits you shall know them.”
