The Perseid Meteor shower may be an annual event, but it never ceases to amaze or result in stunning photographs of the shooting stars across the night sky.
Peaking over the weekend, there was no shortage of images from stargazers of the debris left over from the Swift-Tuttle comet. Space.com reports that debris travels 130,000 miles per hour and burns up as it enters Earth’s atmosphere. It also notes spectators saying the weekend weather was perfect in many areas for spotting the meteors.
EarthSky.org reports that while the peak was in the early hours of Aug. 12, the morning of Aug. 13 still held several meteors streaking across the sky. It even speculates more could be seen through the 14th.
TheBlaze has pulled together just a few of the photos taken of the meteor shower:

Posted on August 14, 2012 at 2:02pmI didnt see anything but clouds on the second video.
The third video opens with a bunch of planes. Those are NOT meteorites. Must be an airport near by. Although I did see one or two meteors in that video.

We don’t have any proof that Obama is HUMAN.
I seriously have my doubts.
He’s so cold and dead inside. His voice is so eerie.
President Obama, show us your medical records.
