Here’s Dana Loesch’s Fiery Monologue on the 1st Amendment: ‘Religious Liberty Legislated Out of Existence’

Dana Loesch Gives Fiery Defense of the First Amendment | Talks Child Sex Trafficking With Brandon Darby

(Photo: GBTV)

Dana Loesch filled in for Glenn Beck on radio and GBTV (soon to be TheBlaze TV) Monday, and gave a fiery monologue on the First Amendment.

“On August 1st, while everyone focused on whether or not Michael Phelps would beat Ryan Lochte,” she began, “the birth control mandate kicked into effect.”

She continued:

“Religious liberty was legislated out of existence without public outcry.  American business-owners are now responsible for the results that stem from sexual decisions made by supposedly independent women…”

“Business-owners with less than 50 employees face higher premiums, or they can pay a penalty of up to $100, per employee, per day.  But more importantly, these business-owners are told that they have to subsidize the private choices of workers regardless of their own religious beliefs or practices.”

Loesch explained that the administration’s idea of compromise here is apparently “abide…or pay.”

“It’s discrimination if you force an employee to violate their religious beliefs, so what right does an employee have to force their employer to violate theirs?” Loesch asked.  “Where is the protection for the job creators?”

She noted: “This persecution of your religious right happened on August 1st, and it should’ve made headlines… but it didn’t.”

From there, Loesch cuttingly explained how distorted the feminist movement has become:

“During the days of the suffrage moment, feminist founders like Susan B. Anthony…marched in the street against government involvement…These women marched for freedom from government.  Freedom from Uncle Sam’s intrusion into their lives.  Freedom to have the same voice as men, selecting their government…

“Today’s feminists?  They march for slavery under government.  It is a remarkable 180.  I’m sure the original feminists would have a lot to say about a generation of women who take to the streets to petition the government to force their neighbor to buy their birth control pills because they can’t stop having sex.  In return, they cede [to] the government a little bit of liberty, and self-respect.”

She concluded: “I would liken it to the world’s oldest trade, but I think that would be an insult to the ladies of the night.”

Watch the rest of the monologue, below:

But that wasn’t all Loesch tackled on GBTV.  She also interviewed former FBI informant Brandon Darby on child sex trafficking in the United States, and what the DOJ isn’t doing to prevent it:

Please, you just can’t wait to let the government run your life. You won’t have a say soon. All people’s civil liberties will be crushed.

      rant\
And don’t get me started about my beliefs about marriage. I do not believe that the government should define marriage. I don‘t believe it’s a civil right. Now, you may argue that it is because the law says it is, but if I vote yes to another law saying that yes, let‘s let gays have this same ’civil right’, then by extension, I’m agreeing with the first law……

cessna152 says, “Please post what is inaccurate.”

      1) “Business-owners with less than 50 employees face higher premiums, or they can pay a penalty of up to $100, per employee, per day.” That’s false. Business owners with less than 50 employees are exempt from the Affordable Care Act.
      2) The statement “These women [suffragettes] marched for freedom from government…” is false. They marched to get government to eliminate laws that guaranteed unequal treatment, and they marched in favor of the 19th Amendment, which guaranteed equal rights. The idea that Susan B. Anthony was not trying to make changes through the government is absurd. Who else could give women the right to vote?

Get the Government out of the marriage business
the government should issue cohabitation agreements to anyone
who lives with another person or persons whether romantically or platonically
It should then be up to the couple whether to get married by their religious leader marriage
is a religious union not a governmental one

I’d call it half false. Splitting hairs. But the under fifty crowd is exempt from some provisions of Obamacare but they do face higher premiums. Of course, we all do so the statement is sorta misleading. Sorta like saying the under 50 businesses face higher gas prices and bi-flationary pressures from an expansionary monetary policy. True, but again we all do.

Okay, semantics here but A, they were marching in freedom from government in a sense. It was the government that was repressing their rights was it not? Yes they were marching for representation, but they were also marching AGAINST what the government was doing to them. So I think that’s not an entirely accurate take on your part.

Furthermore I don’t recall the author saying that “Susan B. Anthony was not trying to make changes through the government”. That’s a strawman you constructed to knock down. ;-)

Rothbardian_in_the_Cleve, yes, the false part of the insurance claim she made is that “Business-owners with less than 50 employees face higher premiums, or they can pay a penalty of up to $100, per employee, per day.” That statement is the false part.

And when the government passes laws or Amendments guaranteeing a group equal rights, that’s not getting government out of their lives. That’s the government actively preventing discrimination against people in that group by making certain acts illegal.

To JZS, RFYCOM and other liberal trollers, no need to name all of you, it’s painfully apparent who you are. You come to this site, which is conservative and believe in NOTHING EVER stated here. Your entire reason to post here is to push your agenda and go against EVERYTHING stated. Much like satan who can twist the bible to his own end you twist and turn and deceive also. But you know what? As long as people like us, who believe and stand for whats right in this country, you will be able to lie and smear as you do for as long as you like. It’s when people like yourselves gain power that this freedom you enjoy goes bye bye.
      Now for your dumb comment.
Claiming she is innaccurate is in itself innaccurate, when you can actually go an read the damn bill and search EXACTLY how it changes things in the way she EXACTLY states.
Business owners WILL face higher premiums if not instantly then over the next year and pay penalties of up to yes.. 100 bucks and more as time passes a DAY per employee. READ how the exempt works. Even if it did state under 50 would be exempt and it does NOT guarantee they are but even if it did it’s STILL illegal and FORCING those with OVER 50 to go against there faith. Even if you‘re not religious YOU shouldn’t be forced to pay for someone’s BC. EVEN if you did think its ok, I don’t. And FORCING me to do just that is wrong.
As for Susan B. statement being inaccurate. You dolt. She marched to REMOVE THE LAW blocking women from voting which is, ah

This weaker vessel does not have the authority to speak over me, if she knows what is best for her, she will shut her mouth.

I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. – 1 Timothy 2 12

Seems this harlot should take her own advice: 1 Peter 3:1-7: 3 Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2 when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, 6 like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.

7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

Do you understand the context of the letter to Timothy or do you simply select texts that serve your purpose? Don’t answer that.

Anyway, the church in Ephesus was very “new” to the gentiles of that day. Furthermore, in Ephesus (as in most of the biblical world) women were uneducated and unable to read. Now, the whole Christianity thing can get pretty complicated quickly. Furthermore, when you have people who want to weave words to forward their agenda’s, the gospel can become very powerful in controlling people (ie, Book of Eli). That is neither here nor there. Point is that the fear that the apostles had was of false teachers. Women in Ephesus had been problematic in misteaching or misinterpreting the gospel and weren’t really equipped for theological study.

The bible is quite clear about the value of all our souls and our value to God and how we are to treat one another. If you chose to reject that and use limited understanding of the bible and gospels to misconstrue events to your own purpose then so be it. However, what you think you are saying is not what Paul was saying to Timothy and Titus.

Well, she’s full of it. For one her statement that “These women [suffragettes] marched for freedom from government” is utterly false. Does she think they marched so that the government would stay out of the way and men outside government would somehow give themthe right to vote? No, they marched to get government to eliminate laws that guaranteed unequal treatment, and they marched in favor of the 19th Amendment. Both are things that, you know, government does.

In what way were they trying to get government out of their lives? That’s pure crap.

So is her statement that, ““Business-owners with less than 50 employees face higher premiums, or they can pay a penalty of up to $100, per employee, per day.” Sorry Dana, businesses with under 50 employees are exempt from Affordable Care Act. So that’s a lie.

the laws put government in the way, the laws kept women from voting, so by marching to get government out of the way they were trying to get the laws changed to get government out of the way

      JZS,

Businesses under 50 are “exempt” as you say. However, there is a bit of a loophole in that the 25-49 gap. Under 25 get tax credits. 25-49 do not.

It is ironic that your defense of the Obamacare mandate in attacking the journalist…while correct…proves a different argument, actually a couple. If exposing a lie is the goal, then you got her. Congrats. I wonder if you were equally satisfied when Obama told us for months that the mandate was not a tax (or the plan in general) and the SCOTUS pointed out his lie(s). Methinks not. Also, the under 50 provision has had some awesome side-effects don’t you think? Let’s see, have you looked at the Part Time participation rate in the BLS data as a percent of total workforce? It used to run about 2% historically. It’s 5% now…and growing. In fact, the “jobs obama has created” have been enormously Part Time. That’s prosperity eh? Well, of course there is the new headwind to full time hiring too. So if you are at 45 employees are you going to hire or outsource work? Labor data answered that question for you…you don’t need to answer that.

But congrats, you won the battle on accuracy but lost the war on integrity.

Nice job. But next time I “defend Obamacare” I’ll actually defend Obamacare, not simply comment that a right wing journalist is lying.

Computers are a wonderful invention; the internet fascinates with it’s wealth of information access; however computers, and the internet are turning into a great tool of evil. A tool of evil in the hands of evil people who will say when people have financial issues “Well I don’t know, that’s the way the computer figures it.” In a way that‘s why twisted people crave artificial intelligence so that they can destroy people’s lives and say “Well I don’t know, the artificial intelligence does it that way.” Yet somehow it works for the benefit of tyrants, and sloths. People should be asking themselves how much longer the Lord is going to let this go on?

How many times will Artificially Intelligent driven drones take out cars, homes, entire towns, and they will say “Well, that’s just the way the computer does it. YOU, AMERICA, VOTED FOR THIS. LIVE (OR DIE) WITH IT. GET IN LINE FOR GOVT CHEESE, THEN GET IN ANOTHER LINE FOR GOVT BREAD, THEN GET JACKED FOR YOUR BREAD AND CHEESE ON THE LONG WALK HOME.

You cheered for the Patriot Act. You cheered for the drones. You cheered for the wars. You cheered for the war on drugs. You cheered for bigger government. You cheered for national eduction laws. You cheered for Social Security (learned dependency). You cheered for big brother.

Right and left (whatever that means anymore)…all have blood on their hands and nobody has the highground.

But you are absolutely right. It’s time to live with our choices. We created FDR. We created LBJ. We created the GOP and DNC. We created kleptocracy and plutocracy. The lefts answer was Barack Obama. They’re miffed. The rights answer is Mitt Romney. You have to be kidding. BOTH SIDES HAVE THE SAME ANSWER.

To me there is only one peaceful way to fix this. Like minded, liberty loving, awake and remorseful American need to find each other. They then need to find a place to start over and get it right this time (texas?). Peaceful, honorable, and civil secession is the only chance we have in my opinion.

We were so mad when Holder called the US a “nation of cowards”. We were mad because deep down we knew that he was right. He just had the audacity to hang it in our faces like a playground bully. There is NO LIMIT to what the government can/will do to us because we are sheep. We won’t stand for anything. Sure, I could say that I will not submit. Eventually it would escalate and acronym soup would come to my house to take all that I have. They’d create a backstory on me and feed it to the media. You all would believe it. Perhaps I’d just to fight it in court. If I had enough money to fight it I wouldn’t win because the judges have been appointed to keep the beast alive. You think they’ll allow one man to take down a law like this…if so where would that end for them. So, I’d lose my fortune and the verdict in court. Maybe, I’d just physically resist. Hole up in my house and say no. Tear gas and cops would come charging in and shoot me and my family. And YOU would cheer them and probably lament what a dangerous job they have.

Glenn says we are winning. Pffft. As if. Nope, we’ve already lost. The game is over. Read the paragraph above and tell me I’m wrong. This is just one example. Substitute this law with EPA farming regulations, Obamacare Mandates, etc. It always ends the same. Government wins and morons cheer. We all shed a tear for Big Brother in the end eh?

Your death would be for your own personal edification and nothing more. History will remember you as a terrorist and “conservatives” will sympathize with the cops for all the risk they took in kicking in your door.

I’m not telling you not to resist. Far from it. I’m telling you that when you do, this is what will happen. Each of us is alone. We are all Winston Smith.

      @DrPhil,

One more interesting note. What did John Galt do? Did he resist? Sort of I suppose, right? He resisted by not giving society what they didn’t deserve…his gift of intellect. He resisted by removing himself from the system all together. He was Atlas and he had simply had enough and put it down.

Now, literature is gives us some outstanding case studies in fighting totalitarianism don’t you think? There was Galt, who didn’t go out in a hail of bullets…nor did he really “win” per se.

There was Winston Smith of 1984. He probably more closely embodied the idea of defiance to the state of most of the characters we might look at. Did he win? Hardly, quite the contrary. He worse than lost.

John of Brave New World? He didn’t win either. He went mad and ended up swinging from a rope.

In We, D-503 ends up lobotomized. This fate inspired the fates of other literary revolutionaries it seems.

Ultimately, it seems the V is for Vendetta storyline is quite the minority. Probably because he was a superhuman genetic experiment. As for the “normal” heroes in the fictional sense. They all lose or leave. The revolutionary ideas only come to fruition when the collective embrace them. Look around buddy, your countrymen don’t crave freedom. Not yet anyway. When they do, it will be too late.

We have very little time left. When the government starts taking the guns and rounding up people it is going to be ugly. Through out history people who have rebelled against the government have had more numbers and similar weapons. Not so anymore. Our military has weapons we cannot fight against. The only chance for freedom we have is the Oath Keepers save us from DHS, TSA, and the other big government agencies who are now armed to the teeth. If the army sides with the people we will save this country. If they side with the government we will be crushed into slavery.

      @Mutiny,

I’ll bet you dollars to donuts that the architects of the evolution of the state have no intention of rounding up our guns. They know that would end as you say. I’ll bet you that they can come up with a way to get people to WANT to turn over their guns. Tax forgiveness? Dismissal of some sort of thoughtcrime flavor of the day? Access to federal funding such as Social Security? Or the inverse of such thing…can’t get SS if you are on record as owning a gun (of course they have all that now) until you turn it in.

Sure…you can still have a gun. BUT, if you chose to keep a gun you can’t have [government dole]. Sure you can have a gun…I don’t know why gun owners seem to get audited so darn much. Sure you can have a gun, but bullets cost 100 bucks each. Sure you can have a gun, but gun ranges are a public danger.

I could go on, but you get my point. They’ll never “take your guns”…they’ll get 80% of people to give them to them. The rest, will be hunted down like dogs after getting the thoughtcrime label of terrorist affixed to them somehow.
