Herman Cain Blasts Obama: He‘s Not ’A Strong Black Man’

When GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain sat down with The New York Times, he made his opinions about President Barack Obama known (and painfully so). The interview, published earlier today, tackled Cain’s partisan allegiances, the Tea Party, his reasons for becoming a Republican, and his opinions surrounding the president’s background, among others issues.
The first question the Times’ Andrew Goldman asked regarded whether or not Cain had insinuated that Obama isn’t really a black man. Cain’s response is intriguing:
…Look, I’m not getting into this whole thing about President Obama. It is documented that his mother was white and his father was from Africa. If he wants to call himself black, fine. If he wants to call himself African-American, fine. I’m not going down this color road.
That statement caused Goldman to probe further. The reporter replied “But you‘re saying he’s not really a black man.” To that, Cain said:
Not in terms of a strong black man that I’m identifying with. I identify with a strong black man like Martin Luther King Jr., or my dad, Luther Cain Jr., who didn’t have a lot of formal education, but he had a Ph.D. in common sense.
At one point Goldman asked the awkward question, “When did you start referring to yourself in the third person?” Cain’s answer? “I’ve always done that.”
Other issues dealt with in the interview include the Tea Party’s alleged racism (which Cain flatly rejects), the path through which the businessman made his way to the Republican Party, his willingness to take advice from Obama (Cain admits that his campaign staff read David Plouffe‘s book about the president’s 2008 fundraising strategy) and plenty more.

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 3:24pmI think that the real problem here is that he really isn’t a blackman. He only uses that claim for his own benefit . How can you run the country when you don’t even know what race you are. He’s just as much white as he is black ! Keeps saying he’s black so he can cry “RACIST” anytime someone speaks the truth of what a lousy president he really is. There’s a special place in “HELL” waiting for this liar !!!!!!

You hit the nail on the head….
obama is a wordcrafter and
a major manipulator
does not have one “sincerety” bone in his body!
a total sham and a puffed up fake…
to that end:
does anyone know this man that has been in office for almost 3 years?
he remains virtually unknown concerning what he really believes!
what a travesty he was ever elected !
a one man disaster! who will own nothing he ever does!

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 3:24pmHerman’s got a sharp mind, a SPINE, and his heart is in the right place. He is a buisiness man, not a politician. We do not need another politician to straighten out this country. Herman wants to put America on the right path. He is knowledgable, a little rough around the edges, and HE LOVES AMERICA and believes in her exceptionalism and greatness.
Unlike BO, Mr. Cain will surround himself with the folks needed to save America. BO only wants to destroy the American vision and impose the will of his shadow government CZARS. BO is ruining this country. BO is a dangerous idealogue and only cares about the FAR LEFT agenda. that includes the destruction of conservatism.
We conservatives surround the “liberalallies.” It’s about time for conservatives to stand up and defend America by first firing BO and company. POTUS candidate Cain would make a fine chief executive.
Given the choice of BO or Herman, I would go with Herman right now!

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 3:19pmHerman Cain is a decent candidate and has more common sense than two-thirds of DC. I can’t believe the journalist [?] asked the question about race in the first place. Race is a non-issue and those who voted for a Marxist president because of his color or race–may live to regret that choice. We need someone in DC who will LISTEN to the folks–the people–and stop the government take-overs, shut down the EPA and eliminate about half of the government regulations. Do you know we can’t even sell vegetables outside our farm anymore. The feds want to manipulate garage sales. The food police are in town and the TSA is a joke. Posted on June 30, 2011 at 3:19pmJEWS BECOME ANTI – OBAMA : The Jews have not changed since the days when Jesus Christ took up a whip and drove “the money changers out of the Temple.” Jews have always united to form monopolies. Today they control all the department store chains and speciality shops along with the lucrative jewelry and animal fur trade. Jews dominate the fields of all precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum, tin, lead, etc. They will always ban together to drive Gentile competitors out of business.
Today America is being flooded with Jewish immigrants from Russia and even 20,000 per year leave Israel for the U. S. – all with dollar signs in their eyes. Jews have used their vaunted money-power to seize control of the Democratic Party and constitute over 50% of all its financial contributions. Today they are buying up more and more major U. S. companies. While only 3% of the population, the Jews control over 25% of the nation’s wealth and this percentage rises every year. They are the only racial group totally organized to work for political domination over America.
Opposition to the Jews did not begin in Germany but dates back before the birth of Christ over 2,000 years ago! Study the statements made by “The world’s greatest men.“ They reveal why the ”wandering Jews” have made enemies out of every host country that ever accepted them.
The Jews are the only people in the world who have found hostility in every country in which they settled in any numbers

So maybe he is someone that could make the media have a lost of words. The sad part no one reports news, only their opinon on what they view as what is right. So with that said what chance does he have? A Black man that was succesful in business. Now that cannot be true as MNBC speaks its truth
The only thing that will change in the U.S. goverment/media is the weather. Cause that is something that they cannot regulate. When will we learn that the goverment/ media cares only about the goverment/media .

You sir are exactly right. I am an American, a Black American. Just like there are Whites who were once Irish, or German or a foreign Nationality somewhere in their ancestry. The segregation (just another form of slavery) spawned under the hatred of people like John Pierce, Andrew Jackson, Jefferson Davis, the insidiously evil Woodrow Wilson, and FDR, through JFK, and the perverted mind of Jimmy Carter, was simply re-stylized into what became Multiculturalism. The lessons that promote divisions of the American people, rather than the lessons of the American people as a single minded people designed around the Exceptionalism of liberty.

Posted on July 1, 2011 at 8:08amHerman Cain says what he thinks and doesn’t pull his punches like most politicians. He’s absolutely correct saying Obama is not a strong black man. Obama has used his mixed racial ancestry to his advantage since his early childhood. His race, or should I say, his “races” have always been an issue. He plays the “racecard” in order to get the votes of the “black community” insinuating that he knows all about the “struggle” of the black man in America. He’s a fake and a phony.
Obama would not have been a Democratic Senator of the State of Illinois and certainly would not be the 44th President of the United States of America if he wasn’t a “black man ”. Being the first “Black President” was instrumental in getting him into the Whitehouse. It has also protected him from being censored or even impeached for his unconstitutional policiies.
He has made his hatred for everything American is well known, from his refusal to honor the American flag to his attempts to abolish God from the Pledge of Allegiance and the US Constitution. Unfortunately Obama’s actions as the POTUS have reduced the chance of an honorable black man following him into the Whitehouse.

It’s time to raise a little Cain and I will stand by anyone who truly believes in the Constitution any day of the week. I like this tactic he is using what is the left going to do call Cain racist! LOL

Let the left use race to define people, they are the perveyors of racism by trying to treat people differently based on race. Even if done with good intentions it still has a negative outcome and prepetuates the actions that allow people to be enslaved in the victim roles.

I don’t think so Cain. The right will slam Obama at every opportunity. And he has handled it with class and humor. He doesn’t reply with insults. I’d challenge you to give me one. Cain, Palin, Bachmann have thing skins and could never take a leadership role in the world, but Obama take the heat.

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 9:20pmCain is amazing. If he had the media protection and promotion that Obama had and still has, he would be THE front running Republican. I was discussing the candidates with a friend and was bemoaning how women who are running are not “presidential” — focusing on Bachman and Palin. The friend reminded me that a less sexist view might include other women who would surely be ‘presidential’ – like Golda Meir or Thatcher. As I stood corrected in that misrepresentation of women as being not ‘presidential’ – and expanding that insight to men of various races —- quite possibly there are strong black men and men of other races who could bring back some of what we had in Reagan – who was preeminently ‘presidential’. I think that Cain could be that person.

Posted on July 1, 2011 at 12:07amHold on, now.
I’m against Herman Cain, for his association with the Federal Reserve.
But I would never venture to challenge him on his opinion of President Obama and his apparent lack of true masculinity and “black-man-ness”, as I am a black man.
It is horribly obvious, I have dealt with real black men and some sort of mockery of black men. President Obama reminds me right away of my high school principal. This man was so full of hubris, that he literally used to speak with the corner of his top lip curled up like the corner of a coffee filter. These type of people like Obama have a dangerous, condescending, and angering air of false competence. They are not content to walk, they must strut. There is no challenging them, because their air of superiority is so great that they will seldom give you the time of day to finish a sentence. They are non-compromising, feminine, and disgustingly authoritative. I didn’t recognize it at first because of his adept handling of the teleprompter, but the mask is off now. The man is outrageously deaf to outside criticism. He cannot be wrong.
On the other hand, Herman Cain does resemble in his demeanor a strong black man, and it isn’t an act or contrived. I’m simply dissuaded by his association with the Federal Reserve. I wish he would change his stance on the abolition of the private unconstitutional bank. I’m not even sure at this point that it would change my mind.

I‘ve always said that I dont’ care the color of a candidates skin, as long as they can do the job effectively as POTUS I’ll vote for them whether they be black, white, brown, red, yellow, or a three-foot green alien (OK the 14th amendment probably applies to that one).
Herman Cain is an excellent business-minded person with wonderful Conservative principles. I‘m just afraid that he’ll come in third place in the primaries because he hasn’t even been an elected official. But I love his response to that: “I’ve never been elected, others have, how is that working out for you America?”
This guy seriously deserves a chance to show the country what he brings to the table.
This guy could also give Obama a major lashing in a one-on-one debate. Cain is charismatic & brings passion & fire in attempting to save this country.
He sure has my vote over the RINO Romney and Bachmann – the full disclosure, I honestly think too much of mainstream america and luke-warm apatheitc Republicans and disenfanchised Obama independents will end up voting for the popular candidate and Romney will get the GOP nomination.
But I’m soooo hoping that Herman Cain gets the nomination. Also one fewer thing the lefties could claim the Tea Party and Republicans are (racist).
