Herman Cain: I Prefer ‘Black American’

Herman Cain Black American | 999 Would Cost Some People More | Neoconservative | Impossible DreamTop Republican presidential contender Herman Cain said Sunday the 2012 race is “absolutely not” a factor in the 2012 campaign, and that the support he has is based on voters liking his ideas, not his skin color.

Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,“ Cain reiterated the fact that he prefers the term ”black American“ to ”African American.” Cain’s race has been the target of prominent black leaders and other commentators, some attacking him for not being “authentically” black due to his conservative politics.

“My roots go back through slavery in this country. Yes, they came from Africa. But the roots of my heritage are in the United States of America. So I consider myself a black American,” Cain said.

Pressed by host David Gregory about an analysis of his signature “9-9-9″ tax plan, Cain the proposal would cost some people more, but that it would eliminate other “invisible taxes” that hike up the price of goods.

“Some people will pay more, but most people will pay less, that’s my argument,” Cain said.

The people who will pay more, Cain said, are those who buy more new goods. The national sales tax would apply only to new goods, not used goods, benefiting poorer people, he said.

Questioned about what has shaped his foreign views, Cain said he’s read the writings of Amb. John Bolton, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and K.T. McFarland. Asked whether he would describe himself as a “neoconservative,” the foreign policy philosophy embraced particularly by former President George W. Bush, Cain did not appear to know what Gregory was asking about.

“I’m not sure by what you mean by a neoconservative. I am a conservative, yes. Neoconservative — labels, sometimes, will put you in a box. I’m very conservative,” Cain said.

Gregory pressed, “But you’re familiar with the neoconservative movement?”

“I’m not familiar with the neoconservative movement,” Cain said. “I’m familiar with the conservative movement. And let me define what I mean by the conservative movement: less government, less taxes, more individual responsibility.”

Cain also said a comment he made Saturday on the campaign trail that the U.S. should secure its border with Mexico by building a 20-foot, barbed-wire, electrified fence with English and Spanish signs saying “it will kill you” was “a joke.”

“That’s not a serious plan,” he said. He added that solving the problem of illegal immigration will require a combination of a physical barrier, better technology, U.S. troops, and more freedom for states to “do what the federal government can’t do.”

Cain delighted supporters at a rally Saturday when the generator powering his sound system failed, and the longtime gospel singer launched into an impromptu rendition of “Impossible Dream.”

I like this guy more and more. At first I really was not sure America was ready for another black after the muslim imposter terrorist somehow occupied OUR White House. Well, those of us that have an IQ over 100 do know, the money for his campaign came from the middle east, the same money that put him through law school, but he and his wife neither one can practice due to licenses suspended or revoked for ethics violations (and idiots really voted for this fool). I am really glad Cain likes black American because we Americans are Americans, not English Americans, not African, not Mexican, not Korean American. If you are not an American, period, do us a favor and get the hell back to your other country which you insultingly place before OUR country.

Mr Cain has responded to his opinion of and exactly what he did at the FED. He wants to get Congress to limit there function back to what it use to be.. very limited and stop allowing them to print money and protect our dollar from being undervalued. Second He NEVER said he was against the FED being audited.. That is a lie put out there by Paul supporters. He is on video stating that the FED should disclose there role in the 2008 mess and any other records that will shed light on IF any criminal charges should be made. IE Freedy Mack and Fanny Mae.. etc. My key phrase this year has become educate your self.. I am no college idiot, but I can read and do my own research. @EDCT. You said that so well but I want to add, I also agree, if we live in America, we ARE Americans.
I‘d look like a fool if I went around and told everyone I’m Irish, Scots, English, German, heinz 57 and Cherokee-American. Dam, I‘m American and that’s that.
Herman is smart, has a wonderful, diverse background, loves our God and Country, and probably most of all doesn‘t need a teleprompter to tell him what to say with someone else’s words rather than his own. He say’s what he means and means what he says. How comforting to see a president who can speak with is own voice and own words. (instead of a marxix, muslim, commie speech writers.)

There has been a group of Americans that have had no skin in the game, but they have had the loudest mouths in the tax game. My wife and I are both disabled and yes we will have to start paying some sort of tax. I do not mind at all as long as the group of idiots in New York and around the United States protesting for something they demand be given to them will have to pay their fair share. If we all pay 9% this is perfectly fair. Lets say I make $1000 per month that means I will pay $90 dollars in taxes. That is fair. Now lets say Warren Buffet earns $1,000,000,000 his tax would be $900,000 per month that is fair, but OH, I‘m sorry he hasn’t paid any taxes since 2001. I refuse to pay one red cent until he pays his back taxes and GE be forced to pay their back taxes. I don’t support those idiots on Wall Street, but the law I do support!

That’s fine with me, this is America, you can call yourself whatever you want. I prefer Black, African American, Black American, whatever tickles my fancy at the time.

A Federal Reserve insider like you, Herman, who has the hubris to assume you can “fix” the Private Federal Reserve Fractional Banking system whom you worked for, has no place trying to play the race violin. You’re disqualified from MY vote for having associations with the Federal Reserve and having the audacity to endorse Alan Greenspan, that Federal Reserve vampire. You’re also an opportunistic panderer who tried to draw bigots against Muslims towards you.

After watching Obama today at the MLK memorial dedication, I am even more convinced that Herman Cain is the right man for the GOP nomination and the Country at large. BHO tried to co-opt MLK ‘s struggle for racially equality with his own programs of wealth re-distribution. BHO even mentioned the protesters on Wall street and social justice. Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.’s children and family also spoke of wealth re-distribution, claiming that poverty is the result of the rich having to much and the government not taxing them enough. Altogether this was nothing more than the victim mentallity that has kept Black America down for far too long. Herman Cain is the product of hard work, good choices and self reliance, more like what King espoused so many times.

Herman Cain will give Blacks a different role model. One who says “no more excuses, succeed or fail, it‘s not the white man’s fault”. There will always be racism, from all sides. But institutionalised racism in this country is gone.Herman Cain will show a new path to success and self reliance

Mitt Romney will not be able to lead Blacks to a new reality and way of thinking like Cain could. Herman Cain might be able to turn back affirmative action and hiring quotas, which have only hurt Blacks. Romney never could or would even touch those sensitive issues, Herman Can.

Cain is correct, “some people” will pay more. The poor and middle class (that’s you and me) will pay more, and the rich will pay less.

      http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/herman-cains-misleading-pitch-for-the-999-plan/2011/10/12/gIQAHszPgL_blog.html

Now why is it that returning that tax level of the wealthiest to what they were before Bush’s tax cuts is “class warfare” will shift the tax burden to those least able to afford it is not “class warfare?” This plan is Robin Hood in reverse. This is a clear redistribution of wealth from the poor to the rich.

Okay, so you and I pay more taxes, so that the rich can buy a new Lear jet, something they get a tax break for. If you like this plan, you really are putting your money where you mouth is. Yes, corporations are making record profits (and weirdly these “job creators” aren’t hiring) and you want to further add to their wealth at your expense. Okay, then vote for Cain.

The term ‘African-American’ is not anti-American at all. It was born out of the great need for former slaves from Africa born in America to gain a sense of identity. America did not want them; they rightfully felt no kinship with America when some of it’s founders who wrote so eloquently about the freedom of men, suppressed that freedom from the slaves that they owned.

The term is not as relevant today as it was when it was coined; African-Americans largely enjoy the same freedoms that the constitution affords to all American citizens. The term continues, however, to be a term of endearment and a source of rememberance of the brutality that African-American’s suffered, from being kidnap from Africa to their inhumane, dehumanizing treatment by slaveholders. Most African-Americans did not imigrate to this country like the Mexican, English, Italian, and Asian Americans aforementioned. Therefore, the African-American situation has no equal analogy to be drawn from.

I‘ve never understood the offense that the term ’African-American’ caused in so many. I think it must be a matter of ignorance of its origins and of what it means to people.

African-American are not homogenous in thought however, and Mr. Cain is well within his rights to prefer one term over the other as all Americans . The best thing that the rest of us can do is be respectful of others wishes if it does not violate or infringe upon the our rights.

Yes, we all have stories to tell about the atrocities our family members have suffered. The Indians and specifically the Cherokee Indians forced march to Oklahoma where many lost their lives, The “Trail of Tears.” The atrocities still going on today in many parts of Africa, women being raped and murdered and the poor children is more of a crime than I can bare to know.
We all have stories to tell what happened in different cruel countries and how their people were treated by their own country.

Whether by slavery, the Black Codes following the Civil War, Wilsons segregation of not only Blacks, but Chinese and Germans, FDR’s hatred against German and Japanese Americans and continued policy of segregation of Blacks. When the Civil Rights Acts were passed there was already a policy forming to ensure that the American people would remain segregated. That method is known as multiculturalism. HC’s 999 is a nice idea

However, Higher Overall Government Spending or borrowing reduce the chance of lower taxes today or tomorrow.

We need to fix the faulty and hidden ways of how the US government spends or wastes our taxpayer $
Very little of this waste is now transparent.

Sure we can vote a set of congress in that spends less for 2 years, but a few elections later and congress will overspend again. A system is needed

Congress could take a few pages from how NASCAR operates.

      NASCAR coordinates

      1 Race Tracks
      2. Drivers ( few and elite, many with colorful histories)
      3. Race Cars (few , elite , fine tuned, aiming for , but not always reaching the checkered flag in each race) (most of the spending is done here)

We could parallel that with Congress , which coordinates

      1. Sessions
      2. Congress members
      3. Spending Bills
4 Taxpayer cash (however our taxpaying public are mostly absent when congress is in session passing spending bills)
      5. Lobbyists. (often a source of cash to Congress members, but not the spending bills, and their names are not on the bills.)
6 Congressional staffers (paid for by a congress members funding)
7 Media (NOT source of revenue)

Equating lobbyist firms to Nascar sponsors, I think they need to pay for the bills that they want.
Not only that, they also need to advertise / fully disclose whatever bills they want passed.

Congress members voting to pass bills spending taxpayer money should also use their money on each bill they vote for, provided from their own campaign funds.
Higher tax costing bills need to be reflected in the money congress has to raise in order to pass it.
I suspect most of congress can easily afford this since they are the most talented fundraisers in our country.
When they run out of cash, they can vote no or abstain.
To offset low cash congress members, campaign fund rich members should be allowed to Publicly contribute campaign funds to them and post the certain bill # vote contract details.

All bills need to have a sponsorship list of who paid when. Each passing bill’s duration should be limited to expire and require reactivation vote when the Congressional session funding raised for it is exhausted.

Failed bills return 50% of congress voting cash back to each member of congress after the next election. They get it back only if they win re-election.
Funds not returned in this manner go to pay for the federal deficit.

Basically, we have to replace hidden bribes with public sponsorships.

While I doubt that this type of system would soon go into effect in our national government, It would be a good model for a smaller town, especially one with many NASCAR fans.

I checked a few race tracks for remaining NASCAR ticket prices and they vary from $ 10 – $185. Hopefully, taxation in the USA may also remain afordable to the many.

oh and just to prove how incredibly ignorant that comment is..

In 2008, the top 1 percent of tax returns paid 38.0 percent of all federal individual income taxes and earned 20.0 percent of adjusted gross income, compared to 2007 when those figures were 40.4 percent and 22.8 percent, respectively. Both of those figures—share of income and share of taxes paid—were their lowest since 2004 when the top 1 percent earned 19 percent of adjusted gross income (AGI) and paid 36.9 percent of federal individual income taxes.

I watched this interview and my heart swelled with hope and pride. Herman Cain would be our first Black President . He is a role model for conservatives of every race. He handled flaming progressive David Gregory like a pro. I am so impressed with Mr. Cain. He would represent all black Americans that have been taught you work for what you want. That have been taught to hold yourself accountable for your actions and decisions in life.
We taught our children that their ancestors might have had masters , but in America you are your own master with countless opportunities and possibilities to achieve anything you desire. That with freedom and equal rights in America you can dream. Dr. King died for that dream and the equal rights and freedom was won but the true slave masters such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would try to use them and Dr. King to destroy and disrupt the whole Nations freedoms.
Herman Cain has my vote and the RNC is making a tragic mistake by not throwing full support behind him and his 999 plan.
I just bought 50 bumper stickers that read : CAIN VS. UNABLE and our friends and family will display them on our cars with pride. Every inner city should be plastered with them !!

After sitting back and accepting the benefits that the civil rights movement gave him – free and clear – he has decided to allow himself to become supplicant to his owners. If he could have found just one more thing to be able to screw the working class he would have called it the 100-0 plan. 100% for his corporate owners and 0 for the working class.

Herman Cain is a RINO too.

      He isn’t a Republican. He’s a “Federal Reservist”. A Con Artist. A Confidence Man.

Nothing the Federal Reserve does can be considered fiscally conservative. This man thinks he can “fix” it.

How exactly? He isn‘t talking about cutting the PRIVATE foreign shareholders’ ties to the PRIVATE bank and returning the prosperity of the ability to issue credit at interest to the US Treasury…backed by tangible assets, not “faith”…

He thinks he can “fix it” and still allow foreigners to lend us our “own” money under the guise of a “Federal” institution!

Federal Reserve notes don’t belong to the United States of America. Compare the “Federal Reserve Note” to a Silver Certificate and you’ll see that the Silver Certificate is backed by tangible assets deposited (reserved) at the United States Treasury .

A Silver Certificate says that there is RESERVED an “x” amount of silver “on deposit” with the Treasury, payable to the bearer of the note on demand.

A Federal Reserve Note simply asserts that it is legal tender based on the confidence (faith and credit) of the United States Treasury. Keyword here is “confidence”. You can’t get “x” amount of silver on demand from the Federal Reserve, because they have ZERO RESERVES. ZERO DEPOSITS. The paper is backed by AIR…backed by “confidence”.

We’re being conned by “confidence artists”. Con Artists.

I know it‘s difficult to accept that you’ve been conned. But

Just as Jews associate, without regard to color of skin, the Jewish race, we are an American race.

Race is defined as a classification of humans into large and distinct populations or groups by factors such as heritable phenotypic characteristics or geographic ancestry, but also often influenced by and correlated with traits such as appearance, culture, ethnicity, and socio-economic status.

It’s on the back half of the definition that liberalism, and specifically progressivism chooses to attack the idea the Founders saw as a distinct race of people known as Americans. They stress the traits of influence in association with skin color to keep Americans divided at the two lowest rungs of the “race” of Americans, being socio-economics and ethnicity. In that way they can perpetuate class warfare across both boundaries and rob every one of us of the exceptionalism of the Founders ideals and vision.

I understand what you’re saying, but even that is a perpetuation of intent. Until we see each other as a distinct people, or race, we are never going to regain the pathway that makes America spec

A case in point to what I was saying above. I travel to just about every Country on earth, and a great deal throughout the Middle and Near East, as well as in Africa of late. I can go to just about any of those places and without fail after talking with people for even a short time, they tell me that I’m an American simply by my habits, way of dressing. Not even in Africa where we’ve been a lot recently do the Black Africans call me an African American. They call me either a Black man, or a Black American.

American is a distinct race. The lies perpetuated by the main stream in America because of multiculturalism that I am an African American by race is a perversion of the truth. It serves class warfare. Because liberalism has gradually herded many Blacks into high population centers, they have created a lower socio-economic structure. They keep that fueled, not because they have an affinity for the color of my skin, but that if they “give” me enough handouts, I will vote for that to continue.

Red, Yellow, Black, White and Brown. WE ARE ALL of the same race, known as Americans.

Disagreeing isn’t always a bad thing. It should push us to research subjects to their core. Being a Computer Engineer I have a little bit of inter-action with Biologists, and Geneticists. All of them have thrown out the idea of color of skin being a factor in determining race because we are all from the sub species known as ****-sapiens. Folk taxonomy lent itself to stereotyping as societies emerged. Geography is probably the most determining factor of how Nationalities develop over time. In the age of mass transportation that had to be readdressed (why?) for social engineering purposes. Biologically we are all the same, but have “developed” distinct traits/characteristics because of geographic necessity.

JZS: “Cain is correct, “some people” will pay more. The poor and middle class (that’s you and me) will pay more, and the rich will pay less.”

First, please explain how his plan shifts the tax burden to the poor, without a link to a story that someone else wrote, please.

Second, a consumption tax would be the most progressive form of taxation we could have that would still be “fair”. Generally speaking, those with higher incomes and net worth tend to buy more expensive items and larger quantities of inexpensive products than those in the lower income brackets do. A 9% tax on these purchases equates to wealthier Americans paying more in taxes because their individual purchases cost more and less wealthy Americans not paying as much, yet both pay amounts that are relative to their incomes/net worth because the percentage doesn’t change.

On top of that, the income tax being the same again assures that the amount paid by both groups is the same as a percentage, therefore it’s “fair”. 9% of $20,000 is $1,800 and 9% of $200,000 is $18,000, so again please explain to me how the tax burden would be shifted to the poor and how this wouldn’t be progressive taxation? Granted the actual percentage would be the same across every income bracket but the actual amounts paid WOULD be progressive as wealthier people would pay more.

The final point I want to make is that nobody seems to be mentioning one important aspect of Cain’s 9-9-9 plan; that NOBODY would be able to escape paying in their “fair share” to the government because of the 9% consumption tax. Illegal immigrants who dodge income taxes would be caught at the register, drug dealers with unclaimed income would pay, well anybody involved with illegally making money would be required to pay. Working “under the table” wouldn’t have a huge benefit anymore so less people would do it, people who deal in all cash wouldn’t be able to get out of contributing to the government, etc. This would greatly broaden the tax base which would ultimately end up in the government receiving more revenue off more people paying in less per person.

This added to the flat 9% business tax and the flat 9% income tax would be the best thing that could happen for this country. It would greatly reduce the need for the giant and intrusive bureaucracy we call the IRS thus greatly reducing the size of it and giving us more freedom with OUR money. It would level the playing field for everyone by simplifying the tax code and having everyone pay the SAME EXACT RATE. And it would eliminate the punitive nature of our current tax code that punishes success and rewards inactivity.

Only those who currently benefit from the existing tax system, ie; the 50% or so who pay NOTHING in, would be against such a policy. However for the rest of us it would greatly benef

@jzs – to save 1.2 million for retirement, you have to put away $100 per month from age 24 to age 64. Actually, with a good IRA, you will get closer to 1.5 MILLION over that 40 years.

Easy answer….they misunderstood on meet the Press. When he said some people will pay more, he meant one thing and most everyone in the media took it the way they wanted.

What he explained was that the tax is a replacement tax. It removes as much as 22% of SECRET tax. Lowers those sneak- a- taxes as he calls them and put the 9% in place of it.

Now that means you will have a visible tax but is actually paying less. However the REASON some still pay more taxes that someone else is because of their choices. It is NOT a HIGHER tax rate as the media is trying to say. Example: If you and I make the same amount of money or if we donet work and are spending retirement money, we both pay the same amount of tax rate, 9% but if I buy two new cars instead of ONE, I will pay more taxes. Or If I decide to buy two used cars and you buy One new car, you pay more taxes in AMOUNT, not rate.

Cain’s tax plan is fatally flawed for this one reason… READ CAREFULLY, MATHEMATICALLY CHALLENGED…

A fixed “9-9-9″ interest rate will mean absolutely NOTHING if he allows the Federal Reserve to continue to exist and devalue our currency (hidden tax) by lending trillions of dollars to LORD KNOWS at .01% interest.

      Period.

      Abolish the Fed.

Abolish Herman Cain‘s former employer who he said doesn’t need to be audited, and can be “fixed”, because he is such an astute Federal Reserve insider that he can actually “fix” something, having been so far “inside the belly of the beast”, like compacted excrement.

Soros, Gore, Buffet, and all other investors would pay 0% for capital gains would be 0%. The corporations they invest in would pay 9%. Soros et al would only have to pay 9% sales tax…

Empowered Zones is picking winners/losers and not flat or fair. It is Government treating non prosperous groups better then thriving groups. Why should Detroit, Union hub, get a lower tax rate because Unions ran business out of town and us right to workers get taxed 9% for being prosperous and attracting business? That is wrong!

Now listen to why Cain has empowered zones:
“I believe in empowerment zones. Most of the unemployed black Americans in this country are in these mostly economically depressed areas. It could be, and I’m only using this as an example, because we haven’t finished establishing the parameters yet. Instead of in a designated empowerment zone, it being 9-9-9, it could be, as an example only, 3-3-3.

What this does, because you have a lot of African-Americans located in cities like Detroit, disproportionately, it would encourage businesses to stay in business there or to move there. It would encourage people to work there, because if you live in the empowerment zone, you’re going to pay a smaller percentage in taxes.”

Cannot support this. It is wrong! Cain sees race first in this quote! Absolutely cannot support 9-9-9! No one is addressing inflation either! 9-9-9 no way!

First of all…for all the nutters out there that don’t even understand Economics 101…and I don’t care how much money you make…if you don’t get this…you are either dillusional, ignorant, or flat out LYING!!

CORPORATIONS NEVER PAY TAXES!!! Every corporation in the United States and all over the world simply pass the taxes/fees/fines/tariffs that a government charges them ONTO THE CONSUMER! They have all of that built into their profit margins!! If they want a 10% margin then they factor in manufacturing, wages, benefits, advertising, shipping, and taxes/fees and then just add 10% to the Wholesaler…who adds his 10% to the Retailer..which adds their 10% to consumer…. EVERYONE makes their money and the Consumer PAID for it!!

The average product has a built in 30% profit margin from Manufacturer to Consumer. Some things like jewelry, cosmetics, furniture, cars and trucks, and other big ticket or luxury items have profit margins from 50-300%.

IT IS CALLED CAPITALIST because it RUNS on capital! You get what you want at a price you are willing to pay and the maker gets the profit he wants. WIN-WIN…

When government steps in at ALL levels, you get higher prices for the consumer ONLY!!!

Cain’s 9-9-9 would lower the corporate rate from 35% to 9% – a NET drop of 26% in the PRICE of ALL consumables!! Even with a 9% national sales tax on ALL goods, you would still see a NET drop of 17%. Seeing as 43% of America pay NO taxes, their NET drop would be 8%.

Ok, my turn for your daily JZS lies correction (for those of you who may be new to JZS irrational rants):

Lie #1: Now why is it that returning that tax level of the wealthiest to what they were before Bush’s tax cuts is “class warfare” will shift the tax burden to those least able to afford it is not “class warfare?” This plan is Robin Hood in reverse. This is a clear redistribution of wealth from the poor to the rich.
      ————-
The truth: This is not class warfare because everyone is paying a fair share based on percentage. Those that don’t pay taxes now will have to, but that money DOES NOT get redistributed to the wealthy. It goes to the government. Corporations and many americans get to keep more of the money they have earned – it does not BELONG to the poor. They didn’t earn it. Nice try, liar.

Lie #2: Okay, so you and I pay more taxes, so that the rich can buy a new Lear jet, something they get a tax break for.
      ——————————-
The truth: Under the 999 plan, which is the assumption of this argument, there are no tax breaks. It is a flat income tax system + sales tax. Nice try, idiot.

Lie #3: If you like this plan, you really are putting your money where you mouth is. Yes, corporations are making record profits (and weirdly these “job creators” aren’t hiring) and you want to further add to their wealth at your expense. Okay, then vote for Cain.

By the way, has anyone ever mentioned that Barry’s a bastard? Obomba Senior left his pregnant wife, Kezia, and his infant son, Roy, in 1959 to go to Hawaii and study how the Amercan Left hates their own nation, up close and personal.

While there, he met and married the former Little Red Schoolhouse student, Stanley Ann Dunham, in (what else?) a Russian Studies course. He “married” her without bothering to divorce the first wife and had the little bastard Barry Jr. shortly afterwards. Before too long, Stanley got the boot, too. He filed for divorce in 1964, which wasn’t even necessary, given that he was never legally married to her in the first place because he was never divorced from his first wife. At least Barry Sr. told Stanley he was leaving her first, I guess. Poor Kezia didn’t even get that courtesy.

Under Cain’s plan a 50K income would pay 9% income tax, unless in the “empowered zone”. That would equal $4,500 taxes owed.
Under the current plan a 50K income would pay 15% tax equaling $7,500. A difference in plans of $3,000 less income tax.
Under Cain’s plan 9% would be added to all sales, 9% sales tax. If we take the average dollars spent on food for a 50K income we see they spent $5,560 in ’09. A sales tax of 9% added to that figure would increase it $500 to $6,060 for food.
      Less tax of $3,000 – $500 = $2,500 less tax
If we do the same thing for clothes, energy, insurance, entertainment, school supplies, etc the $3,000 less tax is wiped out leaving us paying more then we paid before. Add in less purchasing power (Fed printing more money) and then inflation and we will really pay more. Something to ponder……

Same as the current percentage-based tax system. It scales up with inflation. Yesterday’s US$1000 @ 9% = US$90… Tomorrow’s inflated US$1100 @ 9% = US$99… just like our complex class-warfare tax code we have now. Everyone should pay the same percentage, period. Fair is fair. ————————————————————————————————————————————————–
I never listen to Rush Limbaugh. He screeches too much. Love Glenn Beck. Fox news more everyday becomes a mouth puppet for “political tolerance” of the progressive/communists in Washington. I think that Hannity wants to be a Conservative but he’s entirely too stupid to know the truth. O’Reilly is a progressive shill.

Why do you think Beck is no longer on that “News” channel? Because by his very nature of taking the truth head on, he exposes the paradigm shift Fox is part of forcing down America’s throats.

      @OOKSPAY

      And about these clowns at FOX News . . . . .

I haven’t watched them in months. Haven’t missed a thing. If you want to cover everything each day, read CNSNews, Pajamas Media (especially), Drudge, Blaze, Big Government, Big Journalism. To cover the opinions, get both sides at Real Clear, then the thoughtful stuff at American Thinker, American Spectator, NewsMax, and the leftist drivel at Saloon, Motherless Jones, and the New Repulsive. For comedy, Moveon.moron and The Daily Kooks.

Spend an hour or so browsing there each day and there’s absolutely no need to ever turn on FOX at all. Think about what they offer. The Eight PMer is among the most professionally and intellectually lazy men in television; he knows nothing of the constitution, the law, or economics, but he sure thinks he does. Hannity — True conservative, but do you ever learn anything new? Same every night, conservative vs. leftist loon, predictable questions, more predictable answers, and he worships the “Architect” of the destruction of the GOP, Karl Rove. Greta is a liberal more interested in gossip than substance. Bret Baier — RINO who hosts a panel consisting of two libs, a Weekly Substandard RINO, and the brilliant CK, who will go RINO at the drop of a hat; are there no Jim DeMints available ever. Shemp is a lib and Wallace bends over backwards to appear fair and balanced unless he’s goading conservatives.

Tell me what I gain at FOX; at least I get to laugh at the fools at M

He shouldn’t say he is a “Black American”. he’s an “American”.
is he black? yeah… so what, that has nothing to do with nationality… it has to do with genetics…

To say “White American”, “Black American”, “Brown American”, “Red American”, “Yellow American” is to seperate Americas. “Americans” who are born of 2 legal Americans are natural born Americans. If you are born of parents holding 2 seperate nationalities then you will have to make your choice, and thus are NOT “naturally” a citizen of any particular nation. you can say, “African American” if you have a dad who is a legal citizen of Africa and a mom who is a legal citizen of America and you live with your dad. If you live with your mom, you are an “American African”… if they both reside in America but both are not American citizens, then you can call yourself whatever combination of those 2 nations you want, but you will never be “naturally” any nation at birth, you HAVE to choose later… “naturally” means, there is no question about which nationality you are because BOTH of your parents are that nationality… by definition of the words, themselves…

Return the power to lend money back to the United States. Stop allowing China and other foreign countries to lend to us through the PRIVATE Federal Reserve.

The only way to fix this is to abolish the Fed and return to sound currency. That means backing our money with tangible assets, not the promise that the Fed, Treasury, and IRS will tax its citizens into the soil and devalue our currency to pay fiat debt with fiat paper.

Cain knows this. If Obama can use stupidity to gain the electoral masses to further impose dependency and apathy, then why cant Cain use the same approach to remove it?

Cain’s strength – Diagnose the problem, and apply the correct measures to solve it.

Too bad, because we’d love seeing him on stage with President Obama schooling him on “Uzbeki-beki-beki-stan-stan” and other foreign policy, addressing that regressive 9-9-9 tax plan, talking about child labor laws, comparing Social Security with the Chilean model that Cain advocates, comparing their immigration policies, etceteraetcetera. #Winning! :^)

      @SLR

Actually his tax plan is brilliant. You just can‘t see it because you’re so in love with one candidate that it’s clouding your judgement.
1.The price of goods won’t go up. His 9% sales tax will replace the on average of 20% imbedded taxes you already pay on goods.
2.It will eliminate the payroll tax. So the 9% income tax, even if you don’t pay any Federal income taxes will almost be a wash with the elimination of the payroll tax. Everyone will be bringing alot more pay home with every paycheck.
3.Business will have the most competitive tax rate in the world.
4.The elimination of captital gains will encourage investment. By business and individual Americans.
5.If implemented, this plan would create the greatest economic boom in American history.
6.His plan is designed to be revenue neutral this year. Once the economy begins to grow year in and year out the revenue received by the government will also continue to grow. Which will give us the oppurtunity to start actually paying down National debt.
      7. It will take a two-thirds majority in the senate to raise the rates.
      8. This is the only plan that could save America. If something drastic doesn’t happen soon this Country is going to collapse. If another Republican wins with one of their trim around the hedges plans, They will just be residing over the economic ruin of this Country.

life-including reaching the top of three unrelated industries: information
systems, business management, and banking-Herman Cain may have the most
impressive resume of anyone that has run for the presidency in the last half

This is what America needs. A manager..a leader.Someone who has the skill set, knowledge, and the brass to get it done.He understands you can’t please everyone but – if you love America, you’re honest, and do what‘s best for the majority of the country you’re doing the right thing.

    * He was also chairman of the National Restaurant Association during
this time. This is a group that interacts with government on behalf of the
restaurant industry, and it gave him political experience from the
    non-politician side.

Having reached the top of a second industry, he changed careers again!

    * Adviser to the Federal Reserve System. Herman Cain went to work for
the Federal Reserve Banking System advising them on how monetary policy
    changes would affect American businesses.
    * Chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. He worked his way
up to the chairmanship of a regional Federal Reserve bank. This is only one
step below the chairmanship of the entire Federal Reserve System (the top
banking position in the country). This position allowed him to see how
monetary policy is made from the inside, and understand the political forces
    that impact the monetary system.

After reaching the top of the banking industry, he changed careers for a
    fourth time!

    * Writer and public speaker. He then started to write and speak on
leadership. His books include Speak as a Leader, CEO of Self, Leadership is
Common Sense, and They Think You’re Stupid.
    * Radio Host. Around 2007-after a remarkable 40 year career-he started

My greatest dislike of Obama is his cow-towing to the Communist, Marxist type people, hung around them in college, learned from them, became buddies with them. Seems to approve of the ones who blew up buildings in NY, (Dorn & Ayres) listened for years to a so called pastor who condemned (GD AMERICA) All his friends seem to be Chicago Thugs, black panthers and others who want to overthrow America (and doing a good job of it so far, under Obama’s rule.)

I love Herman Cain for the honest, forthright man he is, who has more ability than in Obama’s little finger, to run this Country and put us on the right path again, without all the marxist in the White House advising him.
I love Herman Cain’s business sense. I love his commitment to this Country. I love that he’s a man of God (just what me need for a change) I love that he speaks with authority and doesn’t waffle.
I‘m tired of all the ’ole politicians who nurture their careers more than standing for our Country, who are so narcissistic they’re more interested in themselves rather than the good of the Country. The ones who listen to Communists tell him what we should do to control “the people.” Yup! We’ve been under control for some time, losing our freedom and ability to live as a free Nation. Conservatives heeded MLKs advice to jnot judge a man by the color of his skin, but by the character of his soul. I would support Caiin even if he was green. As for the term “Afrixan-American”, Jesse Jaxkarse coined it about 30 years ago and it stuck, but it is assbackwards as usual with him. An African-Americana would have been BORN in Africa and became an Smerican citizen. Those born here would be called American-Africans. Same with all nationalities. ASmerican-Irish or whatever. Herman Cain is running for President. He’s not a career politician (in fact he has never held political office). He‘s known as a ’pizza guy’, but there’s a lot more to him. He’s also a computer guy, a banker guy, and a rocket scientist guy.

    Here’s his bio:

    * Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
    * Master’s degree in Computer Science.
… * Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics
    (making him a rocket scientist).
    * Computer systems analyst for Coca-Cola.
    * VP of Corporate Data Systems and Services for Pillsbury (this is the
top of the ladder in the computer world, being in charge of information
    systems for a major corporation).

All achieved before reaching the age of 35. Since he reached the top of the
information systems world, he changed careers!

    * Business Manager. Took charge of Pillsbury’s 400 Burger King
restaurants in the Philadelphia area, which were the company’s poorest
performers in the country. Spent the first nine months learning the business
from the ground up, cooking hamburger and yes, cleaning toilets. After three
years he had turned them into the company’s best performers.
    * Godfather’s Pizza CEO. Was asked by Pillsbury to take charge of
their Godfather’s Pizza chain (which was on the verge of bankruptcy). He
made it profitable in 14 months.
    * In 1988 he led a buyout of the Godfather’s Pizza chain from
Pillsbury. He was now the owner of a restaurant chain. Again he reached the
    top of the ladder

BLAZERS ~~~ This just in: Why don’t we all and each (or in groups) go to the edges of our cities and towns, communities and neighborhoods and STAND for GOD and for AMERICA IN PRAYER right now!

Yesterday I had an amazing opportunity to stand smack dab in the middle of the street at the edge of my little community and pray OUT LOUD upon hearing that the “occupy whatever” group was on its way to our town. I just stopped in my tracks, turned around and prayed asking GOD to protect our precious community.

Been thinking about that off and on for the past twenty something hours and I believe GOD is giving this as a sign to us. We are to go now and pray for our communities, our country, our churches, our families, our neighbors. Drive up and down the streets praying. Nobody needs to know or they can all know, however GOD tells you to pray. Do it, and do it now. So you miss a few hours of football. What’s more important? When you walk your route, or run it, pray for all along that route and for GOD’s intervention and protection.

Right on! You know it just occurred to me, all these so called prominent black leaders condemning Herman Cain for not being Black Enough, need to examine themselves.

They’ve all embraced our muslim liar, President who has no idea what being a black man means.
He embraces his Muslim father and had a sense of grievance and animosity against his mother’s race. (This taken from his book, (”Dreams from my father.”) He said maybe she’s too white.

From his book, “Audacity of Hope” He said he’d stand with the Muslims, should the political winds shift in an ugly direction. Hmmm? I want a President who will stand with Americans folks, how about You?

Right on! I look at Herman Cain as an American and really don‘t notice he’s black, white or purple.
I called my 97 yr. old mom this morning to watch Herman on some Sunday morning program because she’s not been able to watch the debates.
She called back to let me know “SHE LOVES HERMAN CAIN” and that’s her candidate, regardless, because she loves the way he answers with determination and truth and confidence. I love him too.

Want to find a bumper sticker that says, “YES WE CAIN” and it’s the first time I will ever display a bumper sticker for any candidate for anything. Also want a Yard sign, may have to make my own.
Herman is the first person since Goldwater or Reagan I’ve had so much confidence in. Love ‘em.
YES HE CAN. With such a disaster in Obama, anyone would be better, but Cain is best, trust me.

Reading all the comments on here about political, social, and cultural issues. I’ve noticed most of them reflect an underlying belief that somehow things were better once and that with just a little effort you could set them right again. You’re looking for solutions, and rooting for particular results, and that makes you a funny people. But you’re nothing more than cheerleaders attached to a specific, wished-for outcome. And that is what I find so amusing. Watching the slow circling of the drain by a once promising country, and the sappy, ever-more-desperate belief in this country that there is actually some sort of “American Dream,” which has merely been misplaced. The decay and disintegration of this culture is astonishingly amusing if you are emotionally detached from it.

If I judge this right, G.E.R is an accelerationist, someone hoping for the negative changes this country has been going through since the 80s to accelerate, making it come down faster and harder and hoping that America 2.0 which may rise from the ashes is going to be a better place. Can‘t see why he wouldn’t be endorsing Cain, really.

Just think of all the tax money the state governments double and triple dip on used cars! You take a 40K car bought new this year. mich collects 6% sales tax. Next year it is traded in and resold for 35K Mich collects another 6% and so on and so on….. I say once the goods are sold there should be no future sales tax.

      BushMaster …
      Posted this in another thread

The problem with 999 is, we DO NOT have a national sales tax now.
If 999 goes into effect, we will have a NEW tax
Congress will botch it up in the future, that’s guaranteed, by increasing all taxes, including the new national sales tax.

The only way to make taxation equal is to have a national sales tax on everything except housing and ANYTHING associated with healthcare, and NO income tax AT ALL, including corporate tax on profits.
Income tax is a Marxist idea in the first place, it’s right out if the Communist Manifesto (READ IT)

The federal government has taken our money for years and managed to make it their personal funding, and right, to use our money, that they have stolen, anyway they see fit, and right now, the federal government (and some local governments) see it fit to launder tax dollars for campaigning.

The entire IRS should be shut down for no other reason other than the taxpayer no longer wishes to contribute to criminal activity.
Most accountants are enablers to the IRS.
If you don’t pay, you can, and WILL loose EVERYTHING you have worked for.
An income tax is NOT American.
ANY income tax is counter productive because it taxes productivity and creativity.
A NEW sale tax on top of income taxation will be a disaster.

They tax everything but the air you breath. urrmm not so sure about that either…

I wanna know if the Cain 999 plan taxes retirement annuities, cause I know I will pay more under Cain’s proposal.

An end item consumption tax would be OK with me…and business can afford more than 9%…and rich people can afford more than 9%….cain’s plan will create more class warfare as the rich get richer and poor get poorer.

I like the man but I do not understand his 999 plan. He needs to come out and give more details…and his web page does not give enough details to settle me down. And our conservative Fox news have not asked the real questions that cause the middle class to have concern over this plan.

      Cat,
We do have a national “sales” tax, they call it Income Tax. With 999 the income tax eventually goes away as do capital gains taxes and the death tax among others. The 999 is just an interim place holder for the Fair Tax.

So, 999 gets you to the NO INCOME TAX in the Fair Tax model. You keep all of your money in your paycheck and pay only if you buy new goods or services. Under the fair tax people making less than x amount get a “pre-bate” to cover the cost of necessary items such as food. No income tax, no capital gains tax, no corporate payroll tax = NO IRS.

Going to a no income tax system is a big change from where we are now. It cannot be done overnight (or, I think in 4 years). There are a few bills that will need to be paid regardless of what the exact system of revenue generation, such as the interest on the debt we have already accrued, current Social Security obligations and military payroll those don’t just magically disappear. Then there is the issue of letting go some 1 million government workers, accountants, tax attorneys etc, and allowing large accounting firms like Accenture and Deloitte and Tuche and their employees time to re-locate themselves (probably overseas).

No taxes at all sounds great but there is a lot involved and cannot be solved with a waving of a wand.

You are the voice of Sanity. You should run for President. I do not understand all of this emotional support for Cain. The 999 plan is very suspect. If you are going to implement a national sales tax you then should remove the income tax. You should never have both.

I understand what you are trying to say, but you need to understand Herman Cains statement. Most blacks refer to themselves as African American, except that phrase seems taboo with them now. I used the term in another forum was called a bigot; go figure. I can never keep up. As Cain said he is using the race with American to discount the African roots part; that is all. Of course, this is my opinion and in no way speaks for Cain.

Of all the candidates, he is the only one who has come up with a stated plan. All the other candidates just pay lip service at a hint of a plan. They do not want to commit to anything and in my book, this is no different than Democrats. Take a stand, own it, or shut up. Cain has done this.

I don’t think people understand what it means to be American.

Being American means I can call myself whatever I want to call myself, and the most American thing you can do is allow me to define myself and not attempt to define me to fit your ideology or ulterior motives.

If I want to call myself African American or Black American, etc., that’s my prerogative.
