He’s Back: Watch the Ad for Keith Olbermann’s New Show

No, this isn’t a prank. The time hath arrived. Keith Obermann, the former MSNBC media heavyweight is back. In only three short days the ego-maniac’s new show, “Countdown,” (which, coincidentally, has the same old name) will premiere on Current (Al Gore’s network). A new ad for the program features the talking head complaining about censorship (or something like that). You can watch it below:
New York Magazine‘s Daily Intel blog didn’t have anything favorable to say about Olbermann — or his show for that matter:
…judging by the ad released yesterday by Current, [the show] will…include many of the other trappings of the old show: hubris, paranoia, finger-pointing, and doom-saying. (Not that you expected anything less when you heard Gore and Olbermann were going to get together).
The suffocatingly self-serious ad features Olbermann awkwardly avoiding a censor box as he speaks. “The free flow of information has been thwarted, dissenting voices silenced, and for every story there’s a flurry of heavily biased corporate-sponsored spin that can distract even the most engaged viewer,” he warns. “And every day we’re left with a bit less clarity. Until now.”
Earlier this morning, Olbermann held a press conference with reporters to discuss the show. During the call he claimed that he will no longer continue his feud with Bill O‘Reilly and that he hasn’t watched MSNBC for more than five minutes since he left. He also said that reports of his salary are exaggerated, but declined to share the actual number.
Will you be watching “Countdown” to see the shenanigans unfold?

Posted on June 18, 2011 at 8:28pmThat’s a good one! I agree completely. It should be easy to tell by how frustrated he gets with each newscast because he realizes how much his ratings stink. Just like when Neilsen reported his ratings took a nosedive. That just seemed to eat him up inside even more. He said on The Daily Show how he has total editorial control, which can only mean he’ll be deceiving every viewer with even more progressive propaganda.

Posted on June 17, 2011 at 3:07pmWith some of the same complaints (from oposite sides of the same coin) as Glenn Beck, I‘ll bet Olbermann is wishing he’d have thought of the WebTV idea instead of fading away into obscurity with Al gore.
It shows the difference in mindset between the to ideologies though. One will has taken a huge personal risk with a pretty good chance of success. The other – neither risk, nor success.

Posted on June 17, 2011 at 3:21pmI have message to GOP. If you pick a RINO to stand up against Obama, you will loose a lot of Tea Party votes. GOP needs Tea Party more then Tea needs GOP. GOP is proving for years they are not too far from the Left. Only way Republican Party will survive is to elect Tea Party candidate.
Message to GOP: BACK OF WITH YOUR RINOS: Perry, Romney, Gingrich, Pawlenty, etc

Well the way i see it, you only have 2 candidates that see the world you do. Bachman and Cain.
Report Post »Some count Ron Paul, but poor guy he doesn’t stand a chance.
Cain will never make it, this country will never elect anyone who doesn’t have an ounce of experience in the political world.
Bachman is your best bet, but she’s a crazy wingbat.
Independents are going to decide the election, not the Tea Party. Get used to it.

Posted on June 17, 2011 at 4:54pmDoing just fine with Glenn Beck, Insider Extreme, Drudge Report, and emails.
We get enough BS as it is from the Progressives without having to ask for it.
Just received this, and it needs attention:
Friends, I would like you to call the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC and express your shock, disgust, and disagreement with Chamber President Tom Donohue. (This action was initiated by two people in a political forum.) I agree with their action and prevail upon you to make this call!
Report Post »Tom Donohue spoke at the Atlanta Rotary Monday and not only spoke poorly of the Tea Party movement, but said that they would make sure the debt ceiling would be raised regardless of what we or tea party leaders in Congress think. He then went on to say they will get rid of all of the fiscal, tea party reps we just elected who are standing strong on these issues.
We need Tom Donohue to realize we do not cower to idle threats against our public servants working hard to do the right thing. The Chamber doesn’t set policy and unilaterally decide what happens in elections. We the people do. Encourage Tom Donohue to resign as US Chamber President, and encourage their board to remove him.
We must stand united on this issue. Your participation is very important. Thanks for all you do!
Chamber number : 202-659-6000

J-Law: “I hate this commenting system setup where everybody replies to the first post because they know their posts will never be seen on page 3 or 4. I didn‘t say anything for the first few months of The Blaze but we’ve had time to get a more appropriate, efficient, and EFFECTIVE comment system in place. Get to it, guys.”
TheBlaze, hire someone who has SOME experience in graphic arts & webpage design AT LONG LAST! Dump the ridiculous 5-times-too-big fonts, the awkward & nonstandard commenting system, the absurd everything-on-one-page, et al, ad nauseam!! This whole thing looks like some kind of supermarket tabloid rag. Therefore I’m citing you for “publishing without talent” … see the judge and pay the fine (Cass Sunstein loves you).
