In addition…when Obama originally reported the tax compromise to America, he was very unhappy, even livid… until Krauthammer exposed just how much this compromise really cost us. Then Obama’s attitude toward the compromise totally changed and he even involved Clinton in the push for it. This panelist is nothing but a bloviator and either really has no clue on who Obama is or just wants to portray a President he wishes Obama was.

He was born in Kenya, according to Kenya newspapers, the Ambassador to Kenya, and his grandmother, who was present at the hospital in Kenya when he was born. In his book, Obama stated that he found his birth certificate in a book. What’s wrong with posting THAT one on the Internet? Uh-oh! We have a minor problem–it says “Kenya.”

He also thought that expanding the Fed balance sheet and bailing out the banks was critical to avoiding an economic catastrophe. There are too many people here who do not understand or have forgotten just how dire the situation was. Those that do understand it will consistently tell you that the stimulus was necessary to avoiding 20%+ unemployment and double digit declines in GDP. This is Sullivan’s point, that no one foresaw how bad it was going to get, and Obama certainly did not anticipate that he’d have to intervene to that degree, much less say that he would on the campaign trail. He was far more moderate on economic policy than his first year in office reflected, but that was because the crisis demanded it. Heck, Dick Cheney was for the TARP package and said so himself!
