Eleven years since the morning radical Islamic terrorists took down the Twin Towers, killing thousands of innocent Americans and shattering our sense of security, 9/11 artifacts are still not available for anyone to see.

“It’s all about the Benjamins, it’s all about the Benjamins,” a Port Authority Police officer tells me on a recent trip to Ground Zero. He shakes his head in absolute disgust and asks me rhetorically, “Can you believe it’s not open because they claim they don’t have enough money? My friends were killed here.”

An Exclusive Tour of the Tomb of Thousands

It’s a few hours before [a 9/11 memorial] event, I am offered a tour of what someday will be the 9/11 Museum. Walking around the massive 16-acre construction site, I wear the required hard hat, goggles, long-sleeved shirt, pants, work boots and a bright yellow vest. …

The guide escorts me from street level down 70 feet below ground. There is a maze of unstable steps and muddy ramps covered in grey puddles of concrete and dirty water, I keep thinking, “I am walking down into a dark tomb. … Why in the world is this museum being built all the way down here? … This literally feels like being inside a grave.”

The first thing I notice is the exposed slurry wall that keeps the Hudson River out of lower Manhattan. Then I see the WTC cross—the 20-foot steel beams retrieved from the fiery pile of debris. It’s preserved here, way beneath the city. It ought to be in Central Park serving two purposes; a daily reminder of the true evil that attacked us and a daily reminder of God.

The Importance of the 1993 Attack

My guide escorts me to the exact spot where terrorists set off the bomb on Feb. 26,1993—the first terror attack on the World Trade Center. The tapes in my mind start playing again, and this time I can see the people, scared, covered in soot, and stumbling out in all directions. I was there that horrible February day and night as school kids on a tour were stuck in an elevator on a high floor, and I reported on the attack for months after.

I was in the first pool of reporters allowed back into Tower 1 a week after the bombing. Black soot covered the carpets, and half-filled coffee cups sat exactly where they were left on desks next to open newspapers, a sign of how workers left in a huge hurry. The offices were frozen in time.

The country did not learn its lesson in 1993. President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Janet Reno classified the bombing as a “crime” not a “terrorist act.” Bill Clinton never came to visit. He never stood on the soot caused by the terrorist bomb. He never promised to go after the people who did this.

So Osama bin Laden laughed in his cave and continued to patiently plot while we sat still as a nation distracted by sex scandals, politics and other nonsense. I covered the federal trial in lower Manhattan of Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman and Ramzi Yousef. The prosecutor said it was the goal of these two terrorists to “topple the towers.” It never stopped being the goal.

Now, 19 years later, we have a young generation that knows little about 9/11 and even less about the 1993 attack in which six people were killed and hundreds were hurt.

    Robyn Walensky, is a real journalist ! Thank you for doing what you do. The Glenn Beck organization is better because you are there. I look forward to when you can get back to Pa and see what they have recently done at Flight 93. There are plans to do so much more there, we would love for you to visit Flight 93 again !

    Why? If the Blaze team did some real investigative journalism then not only would they know why BUT, I assume would let the truth be heard around the world. I say assume because the Blaze is NOT the Vanguard of truth anymore ie: FEDERAL judges just struck down the need for ID cards to vote!!! THAt IS HUGE. That prives that they FEDRERal judges are traitors and anti-American……daily the Federal govt.., is operating ILLEGALLY and the Blaze no longer reports. They report fluff stuff.
    WE ALL KNOW why the gov., is putting 9/11 on the bakc burner.
    Let me help you blaze. The HEAD of security of WTC was none other that marvin bush, dubyas brother. ONE month before 9-11- parts of the towers were closed off for “renovations.” Independent studies, one done in a Harvard lab……….shows that thermite is present EVERYWHERE at ground zero.
    PRINT THE TRUTH BLAZE. print the truth. The jjig is up anyway. We all know why there is military exercises on the streets of the US. We the mainstreet people are not as stupid as you elites want to believe. GOD WILL AVENGE US ALL YOU TRAITOROUS MAMZERS.

      You have to realize where the “thermite theory” arrived in time, a few months after Dimitri Khalezov published. Take a look at the CHEMICAL COMPOSITION of GRANITE, where it contains 15% ALUMINUM OXIDE and 3% IRON OXIDE. Now if you don’t recognize these two compounds, YOU DON’T KNOW HOW THERMITE IS MADE. When this material is heated to NUCLEAR FISSION TEMPS, it will create “thermite residue” which is the diversion they want you to focus on.
      NOW, take a look at the DUST DATA where you will find the HIGHEST concentration of any compound to be ALUMINO SILICATE which is a result of GRANITE having 80% SILICON OXIDE.
      To realize how much energy is released when silicates bind, read up on Peter Plichta, creator of hydro silicates, a potential rocket fuel.
      You’re statement is a disinformation ploy.

    It’s like salt, we have been PROGRAMMED through TV and media that radiation is bad for us, and hence avoid the location GZ(a place marking NUCLEAR DISCHARGE)! Makes perfect sense but still flies over the head of avg reader.

      Could be. Does it have anything to do with the the Atheist Group’s determination to keep the Ground Zero Cross out or away from the place? Remember the steel beams from a fallen tower that were standing–NOT “put there be Firefighters & The Rescue Teams“ on purpose to drape a ”damn flag on” ? Does anyone know? True? I thought the steel beams in the shape of a cross was found, as is, in the rubble of 9/11. Was the cross matter ever settled? Don’t think so, but maybe.

    Mayor Bloomberg, why is the 911 Museum still not open, Ground Zero still incomplete, violent crime an epidemic in NYC, borough politicians paraded in handcuffs, public school teachers sleeping with students, Shelly Silver not in jail?
    …..And trans fat, sugary soda and bike lanes are more important?

    I believe it is more than just money holding this project back….time is what is needed. The events of that day are still vivid and fresh in our minds. It is not possible to re-write history this close to the actual event. Time will erase the memories of that day through the natural process of either death, or dimentia in old age….then and only then can it be misrepresented and accepted by the masses (who have no memory of the actual event) as historical fact.

    Time is what is needed and time is what they are taking with this project.

    I’ll tell you why,
    1. It’s not politically correct to tell the truth of the events of the time, leading up to 911
    2. They are probably still working on photoshopping images, trying to desperately make the claims that it was an inside job by Bush and his big oil buddies, wanting to go to war in the middle east, to pillage and plunder and, reap the rewards, and steal the oil.
    3.Probably also still working out the details of the hollywood movie, depicting Oblabla leading the seal team in, with Oblabla personally taking out Osama Bin Ladin.

    I have to wonder who is REALLY behind the delays of this museum; someone does not want the place to be open and show the events that happened; the history is being rewritten by someone and I would lay it at the feet of the progressives.

    Note I AM NOT A TRUTHER.

    I feel that the progressives are trying to block this, to confuse the past for their own gain.
