1995 Video of Eric Holder: We Must ‘Brainwash’ People Against Guns

New video of Eric Holder from 1995 has surfaced, and it may put “Fast and Furious” in a much broader perspective.
Recorded on CSPAN2, the clip shows current Attorney General Eric Holder laying out a strategy to “change the hearts and minds of the people in Washington, DC” in how they look at guns.
“What we need to do is change the way in which people think about guns, especially young people, and make it something that’s not cool, that it’s not acceptable, it’s not hip to carry a gun anymore, in the way in which we changed our attitudes about cigarettes.”
Though it’s no surprise that Eric Holder is anti-gun, critics are saying that his proposed initiatives go too far. Among other things, Holder suggested that there be some form of hotline you could call if see a gun, or have any “information” about one.
He also said that the school board should have some form of anti-violence or anti-gun message every day. “Every day, every school, at every level,” he stated.
Last, Holder admitted that his proposal is “brainwashing.”
“We have to be repetitive about this,” he said. “We need to do this every day of the week, and just really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way.”

Holder has recently come under fire for “Operation Fast and Furious,” where guns were sold to Mexican drug cartels but not properly tracked. The operation resulted in hundreds of deaths, including that of a U.S. Border patrol agent. Critics of the Attorney General claim that the operation was intended to create horrific gun violence, allowing the U.S. government to tighten gun control regulations.

Many people who own guns will go bankrupt. Therefore I say that no matter whom is the President, they will understand they have to get your guns, and foreign investors will say they will not invest until America is secure. In the 90s, he voted to support the Lautenberg Gun Ban, which stripped law-abiding gun owners of their Second Amendment rights for life, simply because they spanked their children or did nothing more than grab a spouses wrist.
He voted for a bill in 1999 disguised as an attempt to increase penalties on drug traffickers with guns… but it also included a provision to require federal background checks at gun shows.
And then he voted with gun-controlling Democrats Dianne Fienstein and Frank Lautenberg to mandate locks on handguns in 2005.
But worst of all, Rick Santorum has a storied history of bailing out anti-gun Republicans facing reelection.
Rick Santorum came to anti-gun Arlen Specter’s defense in 2004 when he was down in the polls against pro-gun Republican Pat Toomey. Specter won and continued to push for gun control during his years in the Senate.
He also supported and openly campaigned for anti-gun New Jersey governor, Christine Todd Whitman.

Term limits are another way of saying “limit on the free speech of voters”. People must be allowed to keep sticking the same guy in that position over and over. What if the guy actually does a good job? What if he doesn’t do a good job by your standards, but his constituents disagree with you?
Think about it. Especially before you start blathering Ron Paul talking points.

Maryland’s State Constitution says:
ARTICLE IX – MILITIA AND MILITARY AFFAIRS.

Posted on March 18, 2012 at 4:59pmI did a paper when I was in college, the most restictive areas have the highest crime rates, the most unrestrictive have the lowest crime rates, in relation to gun violence. Florida was one example I used in my paper, there was a county that had a very high spike in violence against women, the Sheriff and a Judge simple issued conceal carry to any woman who wanted one, and a gun training class, crimes plummited, but the county next to them violence started spiking (much more restrictive county). Some of the arrested criminals were from the conceal carry county, and when asked why they were committing crimes outside their county, their answer, “I didn’t want to get shot”.

I love being in Arizona – Gun Laws here are allowing people to carry concealed guns and just have guns more freely. Our founders knew that the citizens of this country should be allowed to have them because of the tyranny they came from. It kept the Government in check. Besides, the Gun Laws are only going to apply to those of us who follow the law to begin with. The criminals will carry guns legal or not. I love to read the stories in our country when someone tried to break in a persons home or rob them, only to end up at the wrong end of the gun because the citizen defended themselves. Gun sales have gone through the roof since Obama took office and continue to skyrocket. There‘s a reason why a Government who wants to control their citizens through tyranny wouldn’t want the citizens to be armed. Every time Americans hear that their Government wants to take another one of their rights and freedoms, no matter how small or insignificant, we should stand up in outrage and demand we aren’t having it. Letting little bits of our liberty and freedom go over the past 100 years is what got us to where we are now. We were founded as a Republic by the way. That is not the same as a Democracy – get‘s me concerned every time I hear one of our politicians talking about America’s Democracy. We were founded as a Christian Nation by the way!

They have hijacked the media, the education system, have the Fed, regulations so ridiculously deep that unraveling it seems impossible, people who can just take you away, The EPA etc. I remember growing up in this country and learning about all the evils of Communism, Dictators and Tyrannies in the World’s past. The hundreds of millions who have been slaughtered under these people and yet ironically, through time and slow historical revisionism, our society is lulled right back into it again. I often imagine what the citizens must have been like as Hitler slowly came to power? I doubt they thought it was possible either.

The short answer is no.
Just like any other law on the books, our nation (state and federal level) doesn’t enforce them so there is no deterent from ignoring the law or any oath that is taken. Not until they start punishing to the fullest extent of the law people holding these positions who take an oath nothing will change. They will continue to operate above the law.

You can do anything you want and nothing will happen until someone calls him out on it and then ACTS. The Dems had calculated they could do this b/c the Repubs. are cowards, afraid of the MSM more than “we the people”, re-election, positions, etc. Plus it’s an election year where no one wants to do anything. Also it takes many months to impeach and they know the Senate won’t go along. So they avoid the subject, cross their fingers and hope the elections will solve it.

When young people are smoking cigarettes and after putting out the cigarette, they look at the “butt” of the cigarette and that reminds them about “the butt-of-a-gun“ and it gives them the strong desire to ”carry a gun”. Holder (as well as most on the left) have an attitude that they know what is best and everyone else is just too stupid. People have to be ‘trained’ to see things their way – what he admits is brainwashing. My problem with him was how he wanted to use the educational system for something it should never be used for – imposing his political agenda. Schools were never supposed to be social engineering labs yet the left uses them for just that purpose. Children are being indoctrinated instead of educated – no wonder the US educational system is no longer the best in the world. Instead of the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic we teach global warming and how it is our fault, we teach Obama love songs and chants, we teach distorted history that makes America the bad guy, we teach sex education to kids not even ready for puberty.
The left is unable to win the debate on its ideas so it brainwashes skulls full of mush, raising up a generation of robots to regurgitate the propaganda it has been spoon fed – we see it in the OWS movement where talking points have to be posted so people know why they are there.

Posted on March 18, 2012 at 4:36pmThese “city folk” (and I was a row house kid from a large eastern city originally), don’t understand that when you get 100 miles in from the coasts (or a little more in some areas), it’s rural America and we need, want and like our guns. We can be trusted with them, we learn how to shoot and care for them, and we use them when necessary.
In some of the Western States (where there were “town hall meetings” with Congressmen, the “city folks” were appalled that some had guns and holsters on at the meetings. That’s life in the “wild west,” has been will be.
Just cause some folks want to live like sardines and get used to being robbed, mugged, harrassed, whatever, the rest of the United States is people by those of us who like our space, like our homes and our neighbors and like to be prepared!
No BRAINWASHING in the real United States of America!
