With Sharpton, Jackson, Patterson, Burris, Waters, Rangel, Lewis, Wright, Gates, et al it is no
wonder many blacks hate America. The constant tearing down of the country that has given more freedom to everyone than any country ever on earth must be confusing to young blacks. Why they do not follow Thomas Sowell,’s columns and learn to love America is a terrible injustice to all involved.
America is so bad it has given trillions of dollars to all the unfortunate in America only asking that they become self-sufficient because that is how people grow and do not need government to support them endlessly.Remember the “give a man a fish and feed him for a day or teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime” philosophy of which the above named people laugh at because with this theory they are unnecessary. Only marxists, communists, socialists and fascists demand total following of the leader, freedom doesn’t want a supreme leader believing all men are created equal and they can aspire to become President if they wish. Much as I disagree with Obama he is a constant reminder to everyone of how far any person can go in America, and only in America.

Yes! You are right! Only in the America we thought we had, before transformation ,can we see a man with a dream! A man who can take his dream and grow it where he sees fit! Thomas Sowell is a great example for black American to know and read! See his column’s on the web!

Really?? I mean, is he seriously saying this? LOL unbelievable. Sharpton – move to France. Maybe they will listen to you there. And yeah, I also thought that was a tape of Paterson. It did not sound spontaneous in the least. But no politician ever says anything spontaneously when he or she knows there is a microphone present.

WAKEUPPEOPLE comments, “But no politician ever says anything spontaneously when he or she knows there is a microphone present.”

Last week California’s assembly banned cameras and microphones from their assembly chamber, banned unless permission is given first.

Reason for this is not long back an assemblyman is caught on a live microphone graphically discussing some rather hot sex with a lobbyist firm whore. He is no longer an assemblyman.

I look at this and think, “This is not a ban to protect citizens nor protect privacy. This is a ban to protect politicians from being caught engaging in wrong doing.”

Yeah, I am certain Sharpton played a recorded tape of Paterson. Almost all politicians are mindful of their words, are careful to craft just the right message. This is why Obama cannot speak without a TelePrompTer.

All of this points to how psychotic are politicians about not being caught lying, and points to how politicians constantly lie to America.

It was the concept that was borne and declared on July 4th lead us to the point that we were all free men. The concept is exactly what we should be celebrating as it was the concept that made us all free. We were not free on July 4th 1776 we declared our desire to be free from the tyrany of an out of control cruel government, What was set in motion that day lead to freedom. This division from the good reverand and other prominent black leaders is getting old. I trust that the black community will some day wake up and see that these people are just useing them to promote their agenda. Because once awake they will be a force to be reconed with which is why they try to keep them concentrating on how they have been wronged instead of how the wrongs have been righted and how they can fight ot throw off the real injustice created by the progressive movement.

Ok we can focus on the negatives in history, our poor ancestors that why we have to be mad and racist today, is that what the Blacks, Chinese, Irish, and every other indentured servant / slave of the last 400yrs should do? Native Americans where used as slaves before the Blacks, and through out time man has done so to each other sadly. Oh dont forget Isreal were slaves to the Egyptians some 400yrs… Not to mention most slave owners were Democrat’s of the south, (most kkk were demo’s too like Byrd) Now lets move on, race baiting is / should be over M.L. King would be ashamed of both these guys who make power & cash off race baiting its their jobs. And America was NEVER set up as a democracy, it was founded a Republic. There has always been Evil people of all color, creeds doing bad things to others. That is why the Natural behavior of man is an enemy to the ways of God. So lets start over, Demo’s have been in charge for a very long time of their people in the cities, their policy has keeped them in a form of servatude to their black leadership & democrat party. Their democracy/socialism / communistic policy has destroyed the family units, and peoples History states this, if a Black man is successful then they call him too white, instead of saying look you too can do this and use them as a example.
Do I of the Ani Yunwiay (Cherokee) Blame my life on my family members being forced to leave Georgia and walk the trail of Tears so that the Georgians can take their plantations, farms, & the gold rush ? NO!. It was history. Should my wifes family blame the peoples of Missouri & Illinois for forcing them due to religious persecution for living Christ like lives & being abolutionisists in the 1840′s to leave America and have to walk to the desert mountains in what is now Utah, after her ancestor (a abolutionist & cannidate for president in Illinois was murdered my a state backed mob (not unlike todays progressives), and the Gov Boggs of Missouri issued the Only Extermination order against any group of American citizens and the mobs took their lands, farms, homes (the ones they did not burn) and did rape and murder with the blessing of the local gov, & preachers who lead some of the mobs ? and the president of USA turned a blind eye to the events for political reasons, Even the Blacks never had that. What I am saying is bad people do bad things. We need to live OUR lives, the past is just that, learn from it and don’t repeat.
Obama & his zealot followers seem bent on repeating bad history. As for these race baiters well they should learn to love Jesus Christ and forgive their fellow man instead of always stiring up hate so they can have power & riches. so sad. Every Nationality, and Faith could / does have simular stories at one time in the worlds history, So maybe If everyone would follow the Creator, The Lord of Wind & Water as my ancestors called him even Jesus Christ, and strove to live as his example to us says to live the World would be a better place. even Christ forgave those just before he died. So why can’t these black leaders learn to forgive and be a postive influence instead of a negative one. The past is over, look to our future, God Bless the Republic of America.

Governor Patterson misses the context of the great speech by Frederick Douglass. When Douglass gave his speech in 1852 the slaves were ten years away from being granted their freedom and they certainly had nothing to celebrate on July 4th, 1852. But Douglass realized there would have been no abolitionist movement, no effort to free the slaves, without the declaration in the belief that all men are created equal…the vision we see embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Douglass became a staunch defender of the Constitution saying it was a document of freedom for all men, saying, “Interpreted as it ought to be interpreted, the Constitution is a glorious liberty document.” Now that’s something that Al Sharpton, Governor Patterson, and all Americans can certainly celebrate.

No race wants to be stuck in the past, but we should remember or history and move on to a better furture! This “Cheese Steak Burger” ad following the Sharpton video is equally offensive.

With my being an English professor of twenty years, having twenty years experience teaching English classes at a University level and enjoying extensive experience at public speaking before crowds of hundreds, this is easy for me to spot David Paterson is reading a prepared statement. This is quite the feat for an alleged blind man.

This is not a “surprise” guest appearance as Sharpton claims. Sharpton is lying. This event is a planned and scripted event. I would not be surprised to learn an engineer at the Sharpton studio is playing a recording of Paterson. Based on how quickly Paterson begins speaking without customary pleasantries, without answering Sharpton’s “How ya doing governor?” politeness, this does seem a playing of pre-recorded audio from Paterson.

This is a staged event. This is an event bordering on racism.

Another English major here, Okpulot and I totally agree with you. Patterson skipped the greetings, launched into the diatribe too quickly and was speaking too fast for normal conversation. People do speak fast, but usually when they are trying to prove a point in the midst of an on-going argument. In my humble opinion, it was a tape of either a previoous television interview, a debate or possibly a lecture.

Yep. I noted right off something ain’t right because there was less than a second delay between Sharpton saying his last word and Paterson saying his first word. During the Paterson diatribe there is only one enunciation error and no pauses for thought. You are quite right, this was not “normal conversation” rather was a scripted and planned event although Sharpton claims a “surprise visit.”

TAQUOSHI adds, “That’s why there are mistakes in my post, because I haven’t quite figured out how to use this thing just yet.”

I‘m sorry but I must disagree that it’s a recording or a fake. Yes, the governor does reply too quickly, but if you watch the video there are several flashes in between segments, meaning parts were cut out to get to the point. Considering there was a transition right after Sharpton asked the governor how he was doing, it very well could be that his reply was simply cut out.

Also I did notice some stuttering while he was speaking. Not much, but these people speak all the time, so I‘m sure they’re less prone to making mistakes while speaking on the spot.

I don’t agree with their message, but I can’t allow an unfair criticism to go by like that, sorry.

As a woman then, I should celebrate August 18, 1920. That was when the 19th amendment was ratified and finally all women could vote in any state. Women have only been considered equal citizens for ninety years. President Woodrow Wilson of course was against it. If you want to constantly portray yourself as a victim you will always stay a victim. I myself choose to celebrate the birth of this great country on July Fourth..birthing pains and all.

    WAL-MART vs. GOVERNMENT RUN PROGRAMS!

    1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at
Wal-Mart Every hour of every day.

    2. This works out to $20,928 profit
    every minute!

    3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year.

    4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger +
    Target +Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.

    5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world’s largest private employer, and most speak English.

    6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.

    7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.

    8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought bankruptcy.

    9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.

    10. Wal-Mart has approximately 3,900 stores in the USA, of which 1,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago.

    11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth’s population is approximately 6.5 billion.)

    12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart.

You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the groundwork for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy.

This should be read and understood by all Americans Democrats, Republicans, EVERYONE!!

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature,

It is now official that the majority of you are corrupt morons:

    a. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.

    b. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.

    c. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.

    d. War on Poverty started in 1964.
You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to “the poor” and they only want more.

    e. Medicare and Medicaid were established
in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.

    f. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.

g.. The Department of Energy was created in 1977
to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every “government service” you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.

I like the end points proving that Big Government NEVER works, but I don’t care for “Wal-Mart” to run this country. Remember, they run the small business man out of town, they bully their way into all communities and they dictate to their vendors “how many and how much”… sounds a lot like Big Government to me. Take the $$$$ out of DC and make the public servant remember what they are there for! DC has sound it’s soul for the almighty $$$$

      1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at
Wal-Mart Every hour of every day.

      2. This works out to $20,928 profit
      every minute!

I have no idea if the above number are true, but the were posted in the early part of the replies.

Got a calculator; even using this capilitist hating guys numbrs; that makes Walmart the No. 1 lowest profit earner in the country that makes a profit.

Go, Go walmart; show us how to do it.

I‘ve said it before and I’ll say it again… blacks are keeping racism alive much more than whites are these days. They need to get past history. Are we not living NOW or are we living in the 17s, 18s, 1900s??

The scar of racisim creates friction, and in friction there are those that can prosper. Rev. Al Sharpton profits off the friction of racial hatred, and if it were to be gone he would have nothing to do…

The point I want to make may not seem applicable to this article but it does to me. I think the Governor has a point here. He doesn’t think blacks should celebrate a certain holiday because horrible things were still being done to I believe he said 20% of the nations citizens 148 years ago. Bless you Gov, hold on to that thought and keep the BS flowing .And even though no one has been a slave in over a 100 years it is bandied about daily in speeches by Sharpton, Jackson, the Black Panthers and their ilk. Bless their hearts , hold on to that thought too and keep it up . A long time has passed since those atrocities, and atrocities they were. But it still cuts like a knife doesn’t it, Al baby? And you just can’t stop talking about it,can you? And yes Gov there are wounds aplenty to go around. So forgive us if we , the majority of Americans, choose to hold on to our anger for a little longer than 9 years before a mosque is shoved down our throats at Ground Zero.

Hopefully, it is a joke. Thousands of African-American men fought for this country in that war, and many had significant contributions. Yet, once again, certain leaders of the black community today would rather drive a wedge between the races instead of building bridges. Why? Because Al Sharpton and his cronies get rich!

Sad to say Duncan, this is not a joke. Ever see the movie “The art of lying”? with that little british dude that lives in a fictional world where no one lies? He figures out how to lie to his advantage and everyone believes ANYTHING he says to be true. Woodrow Wilson started this with the progressive movement and it has continued with the elite “academic: liberal/progessive racist-baiting-for-the-sympathy-and-donations-to-live-the-good-life Sharptons and Jacksons, and yes, all progressive democrats. To the point: Progressives speak in a language all their own not realizing that the “average” Americans are waking up and starting to translate the lies they keep assuming we will accept as truth. I think Americas’ “Bull t” meter is about to shift to overdrive…

I’m trying to reply to JOHN1961. What a racist! “They can go home to Africa”?????? There home is AMERICA, where is your home – Germany? I haven’t heard that ignorant line for over 40 years. If you don’t like it here, what are you going to do? I guess you’ll have to do years of research into your family tree and pick a country that some ancestor came from. Actually, we all are related. We are all children of Noah no matter where you live. Oh I‘m sorry you probably didn’t know that – you’re probably too ignorant to believe in God and His Word.

1776 was the year of a declaration and not the official independence of America from Britain Mr Patterson. But that is beside the point. Slavery should have been abolished long before it was, but to do so in 1776 or 1783, 1787, or 1791 would have been A DEMOLITION to the American economy that was already in serious trouble. It would have been like abolishing oil tomorrow, or deporting every illegal immigrant over night. There are issues needed to be dealt with with oil and immigration, but they cannot be done as drastically and sudden as people wish slavery was. Economics is always a factor. Most of these people like Sharpton only see it one way, or if not, they come across as if they do. Not everything is a social issue!

The joke is the speakers know nothing of History. As evidenced by this article “http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/aia/part1/1p265.html”, blacks had slaves of their own, and some of them were white, but they do not speak of that because it does not lend itself to the guilt trip they try to lay at the white mans door step… blacks got to keep whites feeling guilty so they get a free ride through life. Reparations is something the blacks would have to pay into also, if the truth were known.

SOMEBODY PLEASE GOOGLE, “BLACKS IN AMERICAN REVOLUTION” AND SEE WHY THESE RACIST MORONS NEED TO GO FIND JOBS NOT ON PUBLIC PAYROLL; OUR FOUNDERS KNEW THAT THE PHRASE “ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL” INCLUDED ALL BLACKS.
HISTORY SHOWS THAT JUST AS GEORGE HW BUSH COMPROMISED HIS “NO NEW TAXES, READ MY LIPS” PLEDGE IN ORDER TO KEEP A COALITION OF SUPPORTING STATES CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS TO ENDORSE AND FUND THE FIRST GULF WAR, WHICH INCIDENTALLY LOST HIM THE ‘92 ELECTION, THE SAME WAY THE FOUNDERS POSPONED THE UGLY DEBATE OVER SLAVERY IN THE LATE 18TH CENTURY TO KEEP A COALITION OF SUPPORT FOR INDEPENDENCE FROM BRITAIN. NOW I ASK, WHICH WAR WAS THE HIGHER PRIORITY; I SAY INDEPENDENCE AND THEN THE EMANCIPATION, SINCE IF THE PRIORITIES WERE REVERSED, WE NO DOUBT WOULD STILL HAVE A BRITISH FLAG.

An African American (cheswell) rode north at the same time Revere rode. Ranny was the first black speaker of the house 1800′s. I think it was Woodrow Wilson who resegregated the federal government like all progressives do. Lincoln waged war to free slaves and progressives keep putting them back in the chains. Lets promise we will teach our children about the great African-American patriots from the beginning of this country. Do not rely upon the school system to teach your children because if the races were united the progressive movement would be in shambles.
