Horrifying Vid: Man Beats Pit Bull Puppy in NYC Elevator

If you’re an animal-lover, this video will be hard to watch. If you’re a dog owner, this video will be enraging.

A 46-year-old New York City man was caught on camera Sunday beating a pit bull puppy inside a local elevator. WCBS-TV explains the beating:

In the video, a man police say is [Irving] Sanchez is seen walking into the elevator with a small pit bull puppy named Max. Once inside the elevator, the man is seen dragging the dog from side to side of the elevator by its leash, hurling it into the elevator walls.

Then the man leans in and hits the dog repeatedly with the handle of the leash, wielding the strap like a club.

Finally the man starts stepping on the dog and appears to kick him.

The story does contain some justice. The man was arrested and the puppy was taken to a local shelter.

    In other words, the puppy will be put to death. The man will get a taxpayer-funded public defender. Then the man will get taxpayer-funded counseling and maybe even a free meal. The man will not serve prison time. The man will not be taken out and shot. The man will be released whereupon the man will go back to a life of crime.

    I just have one correction to make here, that is NOT a pit bull. It is an American Bulldog in the elevator. The 2 breeds have nothing in common. He was treating it like that in the stupid belief that it will make it a better guard dog. In fact what he is doing is making the dog nothing but mean. A mean dog will not protect you, it just snaps. This tool needs to be prosecuted, and should be locked away. Likely, if he feels like he needs his dog to be as scary as possible, he is probably up to no good. I know assumption isn’t normally a good thing, but I’ve never meet a sane, upstanding member of society that thinks a vicious bulldog in my home would be a good idea.

    This is what they do to pit’s and other dogs to make them so aggressive. This guy should be followed so he can lead police to the dog fighting ring he is connected to. Anyone who beats or picks on someone or something is just a Chicken Sheet! You wouldn‘t see this guy walk up to someone he know’s could kick his Ars and pick a fight! Why? He’s a Chicken Sheet!

    Before I allowed the Holy Spirit into my heart, I, too, at times felt almost uncontrollable rage and anger. I never abused an animal, however (thank God). This man, though he probably is NOT possessed by a demon, has allowed evil to rule his heart. If he doesn’t change, woe to the final disposition of his immortal soul.

      I agree. Every time the puppy looked up at the abuser and the man kept hitting him, I couldn‘t help but pray he doesn’t have children. There doesn’t seem to be any mercy or kindness in him.

    Look, I’ve asked nicely twice now. No more injured/beaten dog stories. Please. I’m not going to look at the clip, and pit bulls are my least favorite dog, but it’s obvious from just the headline that this guy should be tied up and have his male genitalia removed with a spoon.

      That’s whats wrong with our country. I do condemn what that man did, but you are okay with just judging him without even the attempt to view the evidence. What if the headline was missleading, it’s happened here before.       I’m with you Grandma !!!!! I would not watch it. The description was plenty. If people do this to animals they have no “Switch” in the brain needed to behave in society. I can take men fighting one another because they can defend themselves. But to pick on an animal, child or the elderly is inexcusable.I hope they never let him out of jail, he is just where he needs to be.       These thugs whip and beat their dogs, because they believe this will make them better fighters or guard dogs. We rescued a Mastiff from a bad part of town, when she was a puppy. She would cower whenever you raised your hand. She got the best of care the rest of her life and died happy 12 years later. She was a sweet dog. Those thugs don’t realize Mastiffs are gentle dogs and do not fight, but like they say, you can’t fix stupid, you can only wipe it out.

      I am not sure but I bet he was being mean to the dog to try to make it mean for fighting later on. These kind of people make me sick. You could tell the dog was terrified of him by cowering from him at the beginning. I am glad he is in jail but hate to think that tax payers have to pay for 3 squares, medical care etc, etc. I say end this gene pool.

      Actually I’m not the type that would ban any breed of dog. I would ban a type of dog owner who abuses them like this.
      Innocent until proven guilty is one of the great things about our country… but so is subduing a suspect who is resisting arrest.

      What a piece of sh$t that man is. He’s obviously beat that dog so many times that it is scared to death of him. I have a pit and it does take a firm hand at start training them but once you establish yourself as alfa they are eager to learn and please. They are wonderful dogs full of energy and highly intelligent in the right hands.
