After vigorously defending Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s self-congratulatory comments about saving the world from a global depression and condemning the “desperate” Republicans, a hot mic caught unsuspecting liberal Fox News pundit Alan Colmes giving his honest opinion about the situation today.
“If I were Reid’s press secretary, I would have said more what I said, that he was obviously speaking metaphorically,” Colmes can be heard saying. Fox News host Megyn Kelly interrupts Colmes, noting that they’re still on-air as the show enters a commercial break:

I know its not right to hate , but when does it ever end with the Libs? This country is SO polorized now I fear the worst is in the near future. Pray for the best but prepair for the worst.

Posted on June 10, 2012 at 8:54pmCan’t stand in Fox news when Colmes, the Shamu woman, the Walrus, the Floridian parrot to string, and other alike, appear on the screen and open their big mouths to repeat through A to Z what W.H. and Media Matters want to give out…we select “mute” or changing channels, or much better going to BGTV!!! All of them are allergenic!

Posted on October 22, 2010 at 6:17pmCAN’t STAND HIM! Was glad when Hannity got his own show on Fox. His ‘sphere of influence’ is shrinking. He can’t make a cohesive argument to support his (?) views and pulls out the daily talking points while he the belittles the caller, snickers at what he believes is clearly beneath his intelligence and not worthy of his respect and time. If that person wasn’t listening and calling – Colmes wouldn’t even have a show. He has an elitist ‘attitude’….Hey Alan – you’re the host of a call in radio talk show! …look behind you. The writing is on the wall.

Posted on October 22, 2010 at 5:58pmUmmmm…Alan is right. This is taken out of context. What Reid said was that he could not just go out and say “What we did saved the world.” That what he and congress did is more complex and takes a bit of explanation (to the obviously stupid public) It is a lame excuse. He should be trumpeting Health Care Reform and the stimulus. But he isn’t really, and he has a hard time arguing the facts.
Report Post »I am not a fan of gotchas, and this is pretty low, taking his statement out of context. The Moran video is a better example. He really did say what he meant there.

Posted on October 22, 2010 at 5:39pmWhat’s wrong with this picture? Colmes can call the majority of Americans “nutjobs”, but Fox is in a roar over NPR saying Juan Willams should consult wth his psychiatrist.

Posted on October 22, 2010 at 5:33pmThe best day will be when the power is taken from the Democrats. Because Colmes will be crying in his milk that day. He won’t have anyone to defend for stupid statements.

Posted on October 22, 2010 at 5:31pmI dislike Colmes and Reid as much as anyone, but with regard to the specific issue (ie, Harry Reid’s statement), I have to agree, it was (or at least could have been) taken out of context. Let’s not sink to the level of the liberals/progressives. Reid has made plenty of idiotic statements, no need to make it look like we are manufacturing them.

Posted on October 22, 2010 at 5:05pmColmes used to be a spineless token liberal for Hannity to insult, for which he was derided by his left wing peers. Now he goes on O‘Reilly’s show to get reamed in front of millions… still the token liberal, when Rivera is not available.
Now Colmes has morphed into a repugnant and arrogant tool. I witnessed him actually sticking out his tongue at Cal Thomas during a recent episode of Fox News Watch, he thought he was out of camera shot. That is one strange cat….

Colmes is an idiot. He exemplifies what the elite left believe, that we are all morons who will believe anything they say. What I do not understand is why Fox retains him. I can respect Bob Beckle, Juan Williams, that blond woman with the mole, and most of the other liberal pundits. But Colmes is just plain silly. He does not even raise my hackles anymore, I just laugh at his stupidity…

Posted on October 22, 2010 at 4:55pmBig difference, though. Colmes works for Fox News and for his own show. Fox knew he was a left-winger. That’s why he was hired originally. The only way his show will be canceled is if his ratings go south. Even then, it might not happen. After all, NPR is still on the air!

Posted on October 22, 2010 at 4:09pmIt looks to me as though Harry Reid has actually convinced himself that he “saved” America. The reality is that he joined in actions that made our economic condition much worse than it would have been if he had not made the choices he made to keep the conservative positions out of the bills he forced through by hook and by crook. He is delusional. Alan Combes is Alan Combes…
Report Post »Promotefreedom
Posted on October 23, 2010 at 12:18pmMany ******** will believe Reid when he says he saved the world. That comment was for the left’s ears only. Colmes then comes along and tries to defend it on FOX. FOX makes his blabber look like it should – blabber. Ever see Colmes on with FOX host Megyn Kelly? Ha – she rails on him – hits him on every point he tries to make – and she often causes him to try to defend so much stupid left wing crap, he becomes indignant. A Kodak moment for sure.

I am all for presenting both sides of a debate but Colmes is so far left he stopped making any sense years ago. Posted on October 23, 2010 at 12:56amIt just shows that the left know they are wrong, they are just to ignorrant to say they are wrong. They need people like colmes so they can continue to show both sides of the issue. They need to get lefties that are at least have some pull, unlike MSNBC. When MSNBC bring on a conservative, they find the dumbest one. The left just continues to show that they may think each other are idiots, they stick with each other on principle: to kill the right wing. The left is just a bunch of special interest groups coming together, the only thing that holds them together is to watch the conservatives right wing die.

Posted on October 23, 2010 at 7:31amColmes no matter how hard he tries to make his points he always comes off as out of touch with the middle right majority and thats the reason he must remain a welcomed guest so that Fox can clearly show, the massive differences between the progressive and conservatives, its better to hear their views promoted by there own rather then from what the other side, the reason progressives cant draw and hold a profitable audience is because they preach to the choir, there are no dissenting view points, no debate no discussion expect to agree and pat each other on the back
