House Won’t Rebuke Rep. Allen West for Nazi Propaganda Remark

House Wont Rebuke Allen West for Joseph Goebbels Nazi Propaganda Remark

AP

The House of Representatives defeated a resolution Tuesday to criticize Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) for his remarks comparing the Democrats’ political messaging to the work of top Nazi propaganda head Joseph Goebbels.

Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Md.) introduced the resolution to disapprove of West’s remarks, but a Republican motion to kill the resolution was approved 231-188. Just three GOP members voted with all Democrats to keep the resolution alive.

West, a freshman congressman and Tea Party favorite, made his comments to reporters last week about the Democrats’ supposed skill in convincing the American people that the only people to blame for the problems in Washington are the Republicans.

“If Joseph Goebbels was around, he’d be very proud of the Democrat Party, because they have an incredible propaganda machine,” West said.

The resolution said the House “disapproves of the behavior of the representative from Florida, Mr. West, for bringing discredit to the House by offending the memory of those who died during the Holocaust.”

When Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) sent West a note telling him he should “help raise the level of congressional discourse in a vigorous debate,” West responded to Conyers standing by his comments, according to the resolution.

“The Democratic Party does indeed have a vicious propaganda machine, it espouses lies and deceit and the master of deceptive information would be truly proud,” West wrote.

The resolution would have condemned “the repetition of this abhorrent and outrageous sentiment,“ and said it demonstrates ”not only the willful and malicious misapplication of history, but also his disdain for the decorum of the Congress.”

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

West is right of course, the Democrats deserve the comparison to Goebbels, one of the Nazi leadership that killed millions of Jews during WWII. Like a real man he skipped the PC and went right to the point. But, of course he wasn’t saying the Democrats were like Nazis or anything like that.

Some of the libs are comparing his remarks to protest against the TV show All American Muslim. That is a show that presents muslims as normal, peaceful Americans (rather than the terrorists we all know they all are), just as some in Germany thought Jews were normal, peaceful Germans. The Germans took care of that view in a final way.

We all all know Muslims are a threat to America and the world, but this is SO different than the Nazi view that Jews were a threat to Germany and the world. The Nazis had their reasons for thinking all the Jews should be eliminated. History has shown those reasons might not hold up to scrutiny, while all the reasons to hate Muslims are obviously true, a lot truer and more factually based than the bigotry the Nazis acted on.

The libs claim they aren’t saying that the vitriol against Muslims today is like the Nazi hatred of the Jews. That’s what they claim. But, like West, they claim their words are misrepresented.

“If Joseph Goebbels was around, he’d be very proud of the Democrat Party, because they have an incredible propaganda machine,” West said. Of course the Democrats in the House of Representatives voted to pass the resolution to rebuke Mr. West. His statement, though one of complete fact, has to frighten those in the Party of the Left as it highlights what We The People already know. They already control all major media and major press outlets, with the sole exception of Fox News, which unfortunately seems to be slipping from the center to the left more and more of late. In truth, our only voices seem to be in talk radio and a few internet news presenters. Still, with most of the initial sources being the left leaning Associated Press and those newspapers and media sources above, we are lucky that Rush, Glenn, et al, are able to ferret out real news for us. In truth, Goebbels never had it so good. In fact, the Dems almost have it as good as the old USSR. How else can anyone explain that Obama is still popular and might even will this upcoming election?

Oh… So it’s okay for Ms. Pelosi to slander millions of Tea Party Patriots as “Nazis” and for too many Democratic members of Congress to continually label us as “Terrorists” or “Racists” simply for standing up for the Constitution, fiscal sanity and the rule of law; but it’s NOT okay for a Republican member of Congress to speak out…

Truth speech is hate speech for those on the left; and as always, “tolerance” is a one-way street.

Commonsense. The Muslim that built the car bomb that didn’t go off in New York City a couple years back was asked why he would do such a thing after wanting to becom a citizen of the United States, that in his swearing in was asked to support and defend the Constittution, to which he replied, I lied. As Ron Paul stated about Timothy McVeigh, Newt Gingrich brought up the point that Timothy did succeed. There are some things that don’t seem fair or right, but as times change and people lie about their intent, I would agree with Allen West.

      http://www.psywarrior.com/Goebbels.html
And the really scary thing is, he got his ideas on propaganda from an American Glenn has talked about, and FDR used successfully.

IN doing a search for the guy’s name, I found a very scary article. Read the last paragraph in this write-up, it is just scary how this is supposed to be the way things are done in the Democratic party.

Marion, I suggest you re-read my post and perhaps do a few comprehension exercises. I don‘t disagree with West’s assesment regarding propganda. Now if you want a history lesson, lets take a look at one of the events leading up to the original Tea Party. You know the founding fathers believed that the British soldiers responsible for the Boston Massacre deserved a trial and representation? West comes riding in on the Tea Party ticket and within two years betrays our god-given rights by voting in favor the NDAA. Face it, the Tea Party has been hijacked by the establishment. Stay vigilant and send these clowns home!!
