How to Burn Up to 600 Calories Sans Workout

This may sound like an early Sunday morning infomercial: Burn up to 600 calories without lifting a finger. Oh and that’s not all: take care of joint stiffness, asthma and other aches too.

Orlando’s local Fox affiliate reports this is not just some bad infomercial, but a reality, as long as you have access to an infrared dry heat sauna.

Watch the report here:

As the report states, the heat goes deeper into the body, which is confirmed by a Mayo Clinic doctor who says that the infrared sauna heats your body directly, instead of heating the air around you. Dr. Brent Bauer states that there could be health benefits, and notes that several studies have cited positive effects from sauna use for those with high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and rheumatoid arthritis. He also states that there are no adverse side effects.

Infrared Saunas May Offer Health Benefits

In 2009, Dr. Oz, of the Dr. Oz Show, appeared on Oprah highlighting similar claims. In addition to raising your metabolism a little bit, Oz stated that it also helps you sweat out toxins.

A letter in the Journal of the American Medical Association from the early 1980s does note that some of the weightloss would be water weight that is regained during rehydration. But, the act of sweating is a “complex thermoregulatory process of the body involving substantial increases in heart rate, cardiac output, and metabolic rate, and consumes considerable energy.” Therefore, even though some water weight would return, the calories burned during the process would not.

I have had an infrared sauna for 4 years now and I don’t know about weight-loss, cant say that I have noticed. Weight-loss was not the main reason for buying it, I think its just a sales pitch. I bought it for muscle soreness particularity after a workout. Sit in the sauna for about 20-30 min and I have no soreness. Normally after every workout I get super sore so this was a great feature so I bought one. I got mine from http://www.prohealthsauna.com, 2 person royal deluxe

American eat crap, and we eat too much crap. Food additives are the biggest culprit. They make you think you are not full so you eat more. Everyone should try to eat as healthy as possible and try not to eat more than 1,500 calories a day. If you eat the right foods you don’t need more than that unless you exercise for more than an hour a day and need more calories to replace what you have burned.

Calories in, calories out, no sugar. People just need some freakin’ will power. If it can be purchased at a drive through, or the wrapper says “Mc[something]“, don’t buy it. IF it’s for sale at the mall, don’t buy it.

I can speed walk on a treadmill for an hour and lose just over 600, plus I get lung exercise, leg muscle work out, shaply butt and legs, and my metabolism increases.

When I exercised everyday for two years, and took multi vitamins, I never got sick.

We need Adam Carolla to address this:

“Get off your Mc@$$ and jog a mile. If it hurts to lift up the vacuum, maybe you should consider lifting some weights. Take the elevator — you’re only gonna fart in it anyway, so save everybody’s noses and use you legs for something more than standing up to take a piss”

So where can you buy one if you can, or where can you get to use one too?
The news only works with: Who What Where Why and When, the 5 W’s and sometimes that other famous question How? This article only dealt with What!

And then gain it all back once you quit using it! Weight loss is 85% what you eat. Control your food intake, control your weight. Easy really.

Especially the use of “epic” when reporting about what Glenn Beck says. It’s almost used daily in one headline or another.
