(Updated) Huckabee Claims Obama Was Raised in Kenya; ‘Misspoke’?

WASHINGTON (AP/The Blaze) — Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said he would “love to know more” about where President Obama was born and claimed the president’s childhood in Kenya shaped his world view, although Obama did not visit the African country until he was in his 20s.
The potential Republican presidential candidate told New York radio station WOR that Obama was raised in Kenya with a Kenyan father and grandfather. While there has been much speculation surrounding Obama’s upbringing, most believe he was born in Hawaii in 1961 and spent his youth in Hawaii and Indonesia. Obama visited his father’s homeland in Kenya in 1987, well after his father’s death.
The former Arkansas governor’s comments were prompted by conservative radio host Steve Malzberg, who asked Mr. Huckabee, “How come we don’t have a health record, we don’t have a college record, we don’t have a birth certificate — why, Mr. Obama did you spend millions of dollars in courts all over this country to defend against having to present a birth certificate?”
“I would love to know more. What I know is troubling enough,” Huckabee responded. “If you think about it, his perspective as growing up in Kenya with a Kenyan father and grandfather, their view of the Mau Mau Revolution in Kenya is very different than ours because he probably grew up hearing that the British were a bunch of imperialists who persecuted his grandfather.”
Huckabee has criticized in the past those who suggest Obama was not born in the United States and thus ineligible to be president. During an appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America” last week, Huckabee called the so-called “birther” movement digging for Obama’s birth records a “waste of energy and time.”
“If there was any shred of truth to it, Hillary Clinton and her wonderful investigative opposition (research) machine would have found it and would have used it,” he said.
A Huckabee adviser did not have an immediate explanation for Huckabee’s comments to WOR.
Update:
A spokesman for Huckabee tried to clarify the former governor’s comments Tuesday, claiming he “misspoke”:
“Governor Huckabee simply misspoke when he alluded to President Obama growing up in ‘Kenya.’ The Governor meant to say the President grew up in Indonesia.”
“When the Governor mentioned he wanted to know more about the President, he wasn’t talking about the President’s place of birth – the Governor believes the President was born in Hawaii. The Governor would however like to know more about where President Obama’s liberal policies come from and what else the President plans to do to this country – as do most Americans.”

Even if Obama was born in Hawaii, he is still ineligible. He is a native born, but not natural born, citizen. He has dual citizenship–something the founding fathers were dead set against, as a king could impregnate an American, whose son could grow up, get elected, and declare himself king. Ineligible, ineligible, ineligible! And, the media and other politicians don’t have the nerve to demand the truth!

Yep the very same one that the left uses to defend allowing illegal aliens to stay in the country due to anchor babies is the very same that they‘ll use to defend Obama’s citizenship. The first line clearly states, “All persons born…in the United States, and subject to jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States.” Again a birth certificate could end this based on that, even if neither of his parents at the time of his birth were US citizens, if he were born in Hawaii as claimed he’d be a US citizen anyway. The only other obstacle in the road for Obama would be if as a minor his mother switched his citizenship to another country. If that happened he would lose the right to run for the presidency if he as an adult didn’t legally have it switched back within a reasonable amount of time. If he did use a grant given to Indonesian students to attend college then that would be cause to question whether or not he did revoke Indonesian citizenship and reaffirm his US citizenship within a reasonable amount of time. Either way these questions should be answered.

The constitution also says that only a “natural born citizen” can be president, no person born to a person that is not a citizen can be president even if the parents are here legally. Mr. Obama has one parent that was never a citizen of the US so according to the constitution he is not eligible to be president.

He has a father who was a British subject, and his mother did not meet the residency or age requirements in Hawaii in effect at the time to pass her U.S. citzenship on to her son.
Even IF Obama were born in Hawaii, at best he would have British citizenship because both he and his father obtained their Kenyan citizenship on the same day: December 12, 1963, because Jr. is Sr.’s son.

My research shows that Stanley Ann went to Kenya and was not allowed to fly back to the States because of the lateness of her pregnancy. Obama Jr.’s own grandmother said she was there in the delivery room when Stanley Ann gave birth to Obama Jr. The Ambassador to Kenya said that there was no need for a memorial or marker to be placed at the site of Obama Jr.’s birth because it was common knowledge that the Kenyan hospital is where he was born. It‘s also in Kenya’s Congressional Record that Obama Jr. was born in Kenya.
On the other hand, nothing has been produced by Hawaii as any form of proof that Obama was born there. Neither hospital claims itself as being where Obama Jr. was born. The record doesn’t exist in Hawaii.

Some of the people who have been able to get their hands on proof have been murdered. National radio and television networks have been threatened (lives and/or careers) if they mentioned the problem with Obama’s nationality or birth certificate. There are people who have signed sworn affidavits to this e3ffect, and the originals and certified copies are outside the country, where they will be safe.

Indonesian law required that anyone attending school in the country must be a citizen of Indonesia. And, by law, Obama Jr. had to be taught Islamic Muslim religion because his religion was registered as Islam.
He is also a member of the (Communist) New Party.

The House has subpoena power. They are not going to investigate “Obama proper,” but they CAN investigate the court martial of Lt. Col. Terry Lakin. He’s sitting in solitary confinement 23 hours a day, received a dishonorable discharge, had his pay and pension stripped, and no one is saying a thing in his behalf. Here’s what I think the situation is:
I think he got into Occidental on fraudulent paperwork so he could obtain Federal Foreign Student Aid grants to get through school and not have to pay for it, using his step-father’s background.
I also believe he committed academic fraud, specifically by having others write his papers for him like some people suspect he did with the high school poem allegedly written by Frank Marshall Davis. If he commited fraud to obtain Federal grants, that’s a felony and, while that wouldn’t have immediately disqualified him legally, it made him unelectable. Then add having all of his degrees stripped from him for academic fraud and that pretty much ruins everything he’s built his life around. No Bachelor‘s degree means he doesn’t qualify to go to law school, which means that degree would go away as well.
Then again, we knew nothing about his background, he came right out and quoted Marx at Joe the Plumber, he debated the basis of Marxist theory during the debates and he still got elected. What would it matter if we knew that one little extra piece of info?
He was the Hopey-Changey Teflon Candidate. He could have committed murder and the Obamazombies would have still voted for him. There was no talking to them through the pixie(?)-dust enduced “hooooope!“ ”chaaaaange!” drone that they were chanting.

Walter Annenberg, the former ambassador to the UK during the Nixon administration, sets up a foundation to contribute to charitable causes. That foundation gave a grant to create the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which gives money to public schools in Chicago. Barack Obama chaired it for four years.

Therefore…. factcheck.org is practically run by Barack Obama! Obviously these two organizations are in cahoots–so naturally all Barack Obama would have to do is give them a call and say “hey, can you manufacture a birth certificate for me and then write at length about it?” Clearly factcheck.org jumped at the chance, since they are about as closely related to Barack Obama as the cafe at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica, another organization to benefit from Annenberg’s dirty money!

As for the birth certificate, the host Steve Malzberg challenged Huckabee on his stance (that he wouldn’t ask for it) and went on to “beat him up” after the interview ended. Posted on March 2, 2011 at 1:03pmSnow, I should like to think that these documents are required of anyone running for POTUS. Like applying for any job (though government is ass-backward) I therefore conclude that he has them to become President legitimately.
BUT then there is ACORN/voter fraud… so… who knows what to believe. I think that in the wake of this whole thing, it should be a constitutional requirement that all candidates for federal offices make public the documentation that legitimizes their legal claim to the position they wish to hold. I don’t have any reason to believe he was not born in Hawaii. I mean, there were two separate local papers that announced the birth. So unless this was planned from the moment this man was born, it’s likely he was born in Hawaii. He probably might keep it locke/sealed not show it as a political move to draw out the conspiracy theorists and tie them in with the stereotype of the rightwing. I hear “They don’t even believe he was born in this country,” a lot on left radio.
