Huckabee-Trump 2012? Huck Doesn’t Rule it Out, Says Trump is ‘For Real’

Neil Cavuto and Gov. Mike Huckabee discussed the latter’s presidential aspirations–and Donald Trump–today on Fox News.

Would Huckabee consider picking Trump as his running mate for 2012? Huckabee doesn’t rule it out. He says of Trump, “I think he could be for real.”

The Trump discussion begins at about 5 min 30 secs into the Fox News clip.

Still too early — I’m not crazy about Huckabee – sometimes wishy washy and slow to say what really needs to be said – even though knowledgeable, experienced, comes across like Mr. Rogers. Don’t need a Mr. Rogers. The rest are sort of the same except maybe for West, Trump, Palin – I want someone who really loves America, Constitution, will hang tough, cause the rest of the world to have a healthy fear, respect of us & has the wisdom to know when NOT to go to war – be like Pres. Eisenhower & handle the terrorist threat. I don’t think there would be a problem with voting for a woman like Palin. As a Christian, ideally I’d like someone who has strong faith & believes in power of prayer bc we’ll need it & God blesses a nation w/that kind of leader. Anyway, I still think it won’t be Obama running — it‘ll be Hillary and we’ll need another woman to go against. Too early yet……

If anything Mr. Huckabee – it should be Trump first.

Ms. Bachman, Mr. Pawlenty, Mr. Gingrich, Mr. Romney, Mr. Barber.

Romney – no because of RomneyCare.
Gingrich – no because of those 15 minutes of fame are already gone. Been there, done that and it didn’t work.
Bachman – no because men are still not at the point to vote for shhhhhh a woman – plus her tendency to regurgitate gets annoying.
Pawlenty – sorry might be a nice guy but not the track record needed right now and frankly few people know or care about him.
Barber – saw him on the tube yesterday. Please, no. You represent the Civil War and someone whose time has come and gone.

It doesn’t matter that people are “nice”. It matters if they actually know what the heck to do and how and when to do it. It requires plain spoken and no religion of any kind as the leading point. Right now there are a lot of people who want business and someone who actully, again, has a proven record – not a record of voting present, not a record of being out of touch with reality while being a never ending politician.

    Glenn Beck for President..
To all of you that think Glenn Beck won’t run for President in 2012, think again. I remember Glenn talking many times about George Washington not wanting to be president, but did it any way for the good of the U.S. I‘ve heard Glenn say many times he didn’t want to be president, but I think we all know he is our George Washington. I really think Glenn is ramping up for the 2012 presidency. He’s got my vote..

      That tactic is business savvy-
instead of leading on anything, Obama steps away, let’s others hammer & bloody each other
and then will waltz in, for the glory and credit.

That is characteristically weak, a TRUE leader leads, from the start.

Trump is saying Ryan should hold back,
FORCE Obama to lead and deny his little, missing-in-action, backroom dance.

Force him to make his mistakes & blunders, for all to record and witness-
then, when they fail and falter, make Obama own them……..CHECKMATE !

Remember when he hid for over 60 days,
never bothering to pick the phone up and call the BP CEO to say hey ?
After all that time, when that fact floated to the surface-
Obama gets all indignant and tough
and threatens to kick some ass…once again, leadership, gone wrong, non-existent !

The Republicans are playing right into Obama’s hand,
he pivots on the spot, then comes in, hours later for the kill.
He is like the schoolboy who offers to put your lunch box, in the cloakroom-
only to steal your sandwich and cookies….a pint-size punk !

I think people are underestimating Trump’s business acumen-
if it was your business at stake, you would definitely want Trump on your side.

2012 is about taking care and restoring the “business” of America-
whether you like him or not-
there is NO one better to do that job.

West’s military career taught him to see his mission through…with positive results.
His training, knowledge & dedication to get the job done is tantamount.

Trump/West 2012….smart as hell, fearless, unintimidated proud Americans-
this is a stellar ticket & guarantees 16 years of two incredible, Commanders-in-Chief !

No body can run their househild in that manner and we should not run the country in this manner either. Unfortunately we need to remove the liberal spenders in Congress before any one can hope to see us tackling the mess this country is in. Huck – Trump might be a welcome change.

      @No To The Tea Party,

I cannot go to the ballot box anymore expecting to NOT be harrassed by the likes of the BPP or possibly the unions. I cannot buy a home defense weapon as easily as I could before. I cannot count on my medical insurance to not be astronomical in cost or be assured that I can keep it. I cannot board a flight in the same manner as before 2 years ago. This list goes on and on.

As of almost exactly 2 years ago my business is in the dumper and with no daylight in the near furture.

As far as taxes???? Ohbummer promised the other day that those will surely go up, just as he promised energy prices to sore a couple of years ago. I am taxed at the pump more in the last 2 years than ever in my 57 years. Yes, taxes have gone, and will be going up.

Nothing is better under his lack of leadership. Can you name one thing he has done that has made life better for the broad expanse of this pluralistic America? I did not think so.

      Fine, I read your post.

Your business went into the dumper exactly 2 years ago ????

Obama had been in office exactly 3 months and it’s his fault that your business failed ???
Hmmm, sorry if I don’t believe you. But if your business failed, it had nothing to do with Obama 2 years ago. We were in a recession 2 years ago, many would argue that we are still in a recession.

As for being taxed at the gas pump, that’s been the same since before Clinton. That has nothing to do with Pres Obama. Most of the taxes at the gas pump are state and local.
As for the security at the airport, let’s be honest here. Security at the airport’s would be the same if a Republican were in office but it would be the Left complaining about it.
9/11 changed everything when it comes to traveling. It didn’t change 2 years ago.

If your taxes are going to go up then you must make over 250 thousand.

The surest way to lose a presidential election: Nominate Romney, Gingrich, Huckabee, or any of the other progressive Republicans. There are other ways to lose, if you’re interested: campaign on the outlawing of abortion or repeal of ObamaCare, nominate Trump, Palin or Bachmann. All of these things will just stir up the liberals and encourage them to turn out. If you want to win we will need a new face, someone who has not run in the past, with the ability to rally the Republicans, Tea Partiers and Independents to them, someone with no tax problems who has really sound ideas about restoring representative government to America. I can think of two, Herman Cain and Allen West. I am sure there are others out there and can only hope that a couple of them can be found by mid 2012.

The only thing Trump is good for is saying the things about Obama that Republicans don’t have the guts to say. He will never be the Republican nominee because he loved Pelosi (thought she should have impeached Bush for the Iraq war), he donated money to Chuckie Schumer, he gave money to Harry Reid, he thinks healthcare is a right and he called Bush “evil” while he praised President-elect Obama. I would like to see a three way race between Obama, Trump and Huckabee though, because Trump would siphon off the Bloomberg Independents, Obama would get the die hard liberal nut bag vote and Huckabee would get the remaining 40%.

Neither Huckabee nor Trump will prevail. They are starting too soon and folks will soon tire of them as their message wears thin. The tea party was so effective in the last election because their timing was perfect and their message powerful and simple.

I absolutely cannot stand Huckabee as he like a dog in the heat when it comes to wanting political power. Trump is very liberal and I cannot trust him in the least. My choice would be Mitt Romney with a very strong tea party VP, Mitt is all about service to country and is a true statesman regardless of what you think of him politically. He campaigned very hard for tea party candidates in the last election while Trump contributed to socialists.

Of course I will vote, contribute and volunteer for who ever the Republican nominee is as whoever is chosen is 100000 times better than Obama.

Like to see Trump run. If he doesn’t I wish he would convince Rep Allen West to run and back him. West would erase the ‘race’ card. I’m sure many black Vets would back him along with white Vets. Might be good idea for Rubio to get in also, to give real citizen Latino’s an option. Most important thing we must do is insure security of the voting polls. Maybe, requiring proof of having filed taxes should be a requirement. We can’t allow the ACORN and Illegal alien fraud again.

No Huckabee or Trump. Huckabee is basically a cross between a Christian version of McCain trying way too hard to be Clinton cool with higher morals. Trump is a 2011 version of JFK but much more motivated by money, fame and ego. West, Cain, Ron Paul, Michele Bachmann and Mitt Romney are the best choices we have. Out of these Mitt Romney would have the best chance to reach the broadest base of support. West is my favorite candidate if he could win, but not sure he can gain the name recognition and appeal to a broad enough base to get elected. Mitt Romney would be the best as far as working with both sides of the isle and getting the most done and fixing the most problems. The others unfortunately just do not stand much of a chance. Romney/West 2012 is our best and most realistic chance to get Obama out of the White House. Romney has the best organization, resources, name recognition and broad based appeal and if he can win over the conservative base he will win big over Obama, and someone like West can take care of that.

DisillusionedDaily, I think you are the only person on this website that really understands the political situation. I don’t know the candidates you mentioned but I agree, the big names – Palin, Gingrich or whomever – couldn’t even win the governorship of Alaska (including Palin) let alone win a general election. If Republicans have a chance at the Presidency, they are going to need a candidate that is a charismatic speaker and has no history of cheating on their wives or their income tax or whatever. And one that isn’t a fringe candidate like Palin or Bachmann.

I don’t think there is a legitimate Republican that meets that description.

Sorry everyone, unless someone pops up out of nowhere, the 2012 election is a cakewalk for Obama.

Huckabee thinks Trump is for real? Trump is a joke, he is a show man, he’s not a serious candidate and hopefully the conservatives have had enough time to see what a joke Huckabee is also. Huckabee you need to stick to playing your base, because you have already played out your political base. They will not fall for your RINO impersonation of a conservative. You are a career Politician failure who desperately seeks a political career.

West appears to be a good man. But, remember when Colin Powell looked promising? Then he went for skin color instead of what was right for the country? Remember that? Let us not make that mistake again. No offense to Col. West. Just a little gun shy, that is all.

Hmm…Its going to be a battle. Trump would have the best chance against the illegal Obama. Huck would be best with Fin. I still think the election is about JOBS.

Ummm no, Trump was talking like a Leftist, when Bush was in the white house, Trump tends to say anything that will get him the best reaction, which is fine, but that leaves us all wondering where the man really stands. Is he going to get rid of Obama care?, is he going to fight for Paul Ryan cuts (which we need), or is this all a show? Sorry I think that Trump isn’t the best guy for the job, I don’t trust him…. Oh and that idiot that thinks Obama is going to win by a landslide, well only if the election is rigged…

********Nope…what they WILL do is tear the current idiot (occupant) of the people’s White House up! So much to hammer at and so little time….LOL!! The front row seat that I want is to watch B.O. debating ANYONE on the GOP without his little blankie (aka: teleprompter)…..talk about FUN!!!*******

Obama’s plan to destroy the US is beginning to fall apart. If you doubt he is trying to destroy the country then you have not been reading his writings or listening to his speeches. He has made it perfectly clear that he hates this country and its good people. He stands with the evil against the very founders of the country. He has openly stood in opposition to the constitution. He is not ashamed of his hatred for our country.
If we don’t elect a real conservative in the next election our country will not survive.
Huckabee and Trump are not even close to being conservatives.
