China does every hour by law what Kermit Gosnell did over 30 years. But that is okay because they are increasing and the US is decreasing so we should be more like them. Murder babies in the open Mobile vans and not in the back as squalor.
Are you so lacking in the ability to differeniate from the cultures of Japan and China to believe that both will progress the same in terms of it’s relationship with the USA? Prior to the rise of Hitler in Germany – Japan was not socialistic as a national political or cultural country. China on the other hand has been Communistic for over 50 years – a major fact to consider before flippantlly sharing a foolish suggestion.
This is an arguement and poorly cropped. I cant tell if they are really supporting China as much as saying that China has no reason to care about human rights.
It’s kind of hard for America to set an example when we are essentially bankrupt.
Ronald Reagan, while in office as US president, once referred to McLaughlin and his group as taking the format of a Sunday morning television roundtable and turning it into “a political version of ‘Animal House’.”[2]
Problem with the left is they see NO difference between the state and the people, in their dream they are one and the same. The state is doing great in china, the people not so much.
Here they just convice some “professional” to say the kid has ADD or something .. and the same thing — money from the government … my friend was a teacher and she got SO disgusted with these parents who wanted their child labeled.
When you consider that China’s socialism is in decline while our socialism is on the rise, what Buchanan is saying makes some sense as it relates only to the economy.
My niece just recently visited shanghai, china. She went to the local market,as she was leaving a donut shop, a 5 year old girl with one arm begged from her. She gave her a donut, and the little girl took it over to her father. He spitted on the donut and slapped the little girl’s face.
A local Chinese friend said that in some cases, the Chinese parents will break or remove baby girls hands so they can beg better. There is a syndicate for those kind of lazy parents. Disgusting!
China is a time bomb, ticking, and ready to explode. Too many people in one country.
The New World Order will try to reduce the worlds population by 80%. They will be the most genocidal empire in the history of humanity. More so than Nazi Germany, Stalin Russia, and Mao China combined. This will be genocide on a global scale.
Pat is right.
Why should the ChiCom adopt our system. They would have to start cutting their military, move all their industries to Bangladesh and unionize what few they would have left.
And then for the piece de resistance. start running hefty Dafucits (my apologies to Sen Sasser if he’s still alive)
Also, they would have to give the Bangladeshis the know-how to build rockets so the Chicom could get cheap price for their space launch programs.
Just think all these rich billionaires would have to go to Bangladesh to blast off for their ride to the space hotel.

That’s why communist adopt the same policy everywhere “Let the tanks march on the freedom seekers”
Apparently as far as the McLaughlin group is concerned those people are of no consequence. China is making money so whatever happens to the people there is alright. I saw some pretty horrific living conditions on Beck the other day, but hey, they are making money
@ UntameableKate………..Yeah…..I don’t think I would want to live in a tall building above my place of employment…with all those people on top of me…and I remember Beck saying there were alot suicides…..What kind of life is that? America wake up…Do we really want China to own us?
It certainly seems that we are on the path of copying the Chinese model of government….we are bypassing our Constitution, demonizing any criticism of our government officials, rigging our Democratic processes to bring about a disired and predictable result, and marginalizing the very citizens that the government is supposed to serve. Our “elites” and government officials seem to be spit out of some “political king-maker” machine. Our leaders don’t want “outsiders” roaming the halls of power….they want “vested” people….those who have gone to the correct schools, institutions, and think tanks. Both political parties are guilty of this. If the American people don’t hold them accountable, we will soon be a “poor-man’s” version Communist China.
Who is this “McLaughlin Group”? This guy believes:
- “[the Chinese] are the toughest people in the world.”
- “The Chinese are the most successful country in the world.”
- “Why break up a winning proposition?”
Has he ever looked beyond the public face that Hu shows to the world?
and why are they on the rise as we fall? is it because we are a democracy? no it is because we are turning into a socialist nation with redistributive policies, we are killing ourselves and the path we are on has no easy fix
What idiots. It won’t be long before China starts to feel the pressure of how hard it is to please all the people. Especially when its over a billion of them. The Chinese people will start to demand more freedoms until they reach a point where the government says “NO”. Then will see how they stack-up against us in the realm of human rights.
In the very near future, China will have their own civil war. Van Jones and Piven will end up being on the governments side of course while tens of thousands of innocent people are murdered.
well i use some independent free market thinkers over there to source product. just people i randomly meet to help me find factories i pay them for their effort. theyve told me things arent as they appear there are alot of disgruntled people in the cities. he tells me its all about the cash and alot of people are getting stepped on. hes looking to go to canada when he gets a visa. hes also told me that spiritualism is in high demand. he could be pooping me but i believe him. did you all know china is fast becomming the largest christian nation?
Screw the Dalai Llama & Falun Gong cults! McLaughlin is right, hippie! When do the Chinese get a Nobel Peace Prize for lifting a billion out of poverty?
Come on, who cares about the Chinese. We all know that they are a repressive, totalitarian, statist regime. Right now, their star is not so much rising as ours is falling. Ours is falling because there is a struggle between those that would take us even farther in a statist direction, namely the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, and those that want to change direction and return to our roots of liberty and freedom. Don’t blame McLaughlin for telling the truth.
What’s good for the Chinese is good for the Chinese, but not necessarily good for us. Let’s take care of business here at home. Leave China to the Chinese. The “Boogey Men” are the party establishments of both parties. If you think either one is any better than the other then IMHO you have partaken of the KoolAid that they want you to drink.
I see a bunch of folks here arguing about the “human rights” in China and other equally irrelevant things. What is the first rule of hitting a baseball? Keep your eye on the ball. I proffer the same advice here. Let’s keep our collective eyes on the ball and take care of our business before we try to fix the rest of the world. It‘s not like we don’t have plenty to do.
That’s disgusting. China’s ability to excel is at its peoples expense as the government exploits them and withholds their freedom. Yet they call that “a winning proposition”…a rich country does not mean benevolence to all within that country.
Interesting discussion, like the McLaughlin Group, especially Monica, she’s brilliant and beautiful, Elanor is always wrong all the time, but always good debate. Of course they were saying that since China is successfully taking over the world why would they want to change their way of doing things. I say, wake up America, buy American and stop subsudising Chinas’ accendency to the top. And slap them with tariffs to counter balance their undervalued currency.
I actually have respect for a progressives bold enough to say what they’re really thinking. It is obvious that most on the left don’t reaaly like the idea of freedom laid out in the constitution but usually they pretend they do.
You are so right, @HILLBILLY! What you said is exactly why the left, and the right, are so afraid of Sarah Palin! It’s simply because she is not VESTED in elitism!
I like Sarah, but I never thought much of her running for president, but as time goes by maybe she would be what our country needs. A woman who cares about America! And a woman who would kick some Liberal, Marxist ASS!!
communism and socialism have a perfect record for committing genocide where ever it has been introduced as the form of government. And countries who have recently started-just give them time…
IT SEEMS THAT THESE OLD FARTS – LOSE THEIR COURAGE AND INTEGRITY. First Dupnik in Tuscon and now McLaughlin. The only way they get attention is to sell out to the lunacy that is the left wing of the democrat party. McLaughlin now qualifies along with Dupnik, Maddow, Matthews, Olbermann (bye bye), Reid, Rangle, Frank, and Weiner as a charter member of “DumbAsPelosi”.
China took a page out of our free market capitalist playbook over 30 years ago and changed course from a failed system. Why don’t we give them a little credit for that? We on the otherhand, snatched decline and hardship from the jaws of sound principle and victory with progressives doubling down on the socialistic-welfare state policies rejected by the Chinese and other failed nations. The Chinese pealed away guaranteed employment, “make work” jobs, and the “iron rice bowl” social policies, all major obstacles to a vibrant economy and too expensive. The Chinese also encouraged self reliance and let real opportunity for prosperity inspire and incentivize its citizens. Meanwhile, the progressives in the US aggressively expanded the ranks of the “entitlement” class as more and more people were designated victims of exploitation or racism that kept them from making it on their own or saving for retirement. Yup, there sure has been a big shift in our nation’s character and work ethic as well, unfortunately not for the good.
We’ve dug a big hole by being passive and/or ignorant to the end game of “progressive” politics, but the past 18 months offers hope. The progressives are viciously lashing out as they know the tide is turning and it could be a very long time, if ever, before they get so close as they feel they are now. Its bumpy now, but we can’t be surprised by anything in the near future.
A winning proposition! does this guy really believe that people commiting suicide and women having babies forcfully aborted from them, is a winning proposition? Imagine a Republican saying that slavery was a winning proposition. he would be lynched old school.
I think you are taking this out of context. They are saying what China is doing right now is working for them, not that its good. China bypasses human rights and many other things, but since its working what incentive is there for the Chinese government to change?
As the US gets more and more in debt with China, it loses its ability to apply pressure on the Chinese to improve things like human rights. The US is even in danger of losing its military superiority in the next few years.
So, apparently, just because it is doing well means that you can be totally hypocritical on the subject of how they treat their people. “Oh no, big bad US gets collateral damage in a war, oh how we are an atrocity to humankind worldwide” vs. “It’s a winning proposition in China.” As far as I’m concerned, all these human rights groups can go pound sand!
Don’t misunderstand. Pat is not supporting the ChiComs. He’s saying, that if you think they’re gonna change, your nuts.
I’ve often wondered, if Buchannan had been elected president, how different things would be now. The disastrous “Free Trade” policies would not have been adopted. The interventionist war policies would not have been in place. The borders would be secured… We would probably be a strong, self-reliant country, the way the Founders intended.
The powers-that-be are an awesome force. The NWO is coming, like it or not.
Americans are being used and played like puppets by the Chinese! Not only Obama but many States in the US are selling your country to the Chinese. Why do you think Obama wants the value of the Yuan to rise? It is so the Chinese can buy the USA easier and import Socialism. The Chinese are actively buying US businesses, land, and resources in the US so that they can start putting Made in USA on their products migrate their people and eventually take over to enslave the American people!

the point he is making is, they are kicking all kinds of a$$ over there, economically, militarily. they have no incentive to adopt a democratic system. they are winning with their system. And as far as human rights goes, yes, correct, they don’t give a shi# what we think.
ANOPINION has said it well. Remember, they have over a billion citizens. We have never had to deal with that number and we might be a bit more authoritarian if we did. They will learn the hardway (re: suicides, discontent, etc.) and make the adjustments needed to retain their current success and progress. I’m not a ChiCom lover, but I admire sucess from hard work. The Chinese govt recognizes the problem they will have if a billion people don’t have some form of control and direction. Can you imagine a billion people in anarchy, especially since they have little concept of “freedom” as we see it? The former Soviet bloc countries are still struggling to get a handle on their newly acquired “freedom” and some are slipping back toward authoritarian rule because that is all they have known and are having difficulty with the concept of individual responsibility. They didn’t grow up in a country that was founded on individual rights and responsibility. Furthermore, who are we to tell anyone else they are wrong and we are right or vice versa? We’ve got our own problems without dabbling in the affairs of another country with whom we are not at war.

Posted on January 23, 2011 at 2:40amA winning proposition! does this guy really believe that people commiting suicide and women having babies forcfully aborted from them, is a winning proposition? Imagine a Republican saying that slavery was a winning proposition. he would be lynched old school.

Posted on January 23, 2011 at 3:29amI think you are taking this out of context.

Posted on January 23, 2011 at 4:50amSo, apparently, just because it is doing well means that you can be totally hypocritical on the subject of how they treat their people. “Oh no, big bad US gets collateral damage in a war, oh how we are an atrocity to humankind worldwide” vs. “It’s a winning proposition in China.” As far as I’m concerned, all these human rights groups can go pound sand!

Posted on January 23, 2011 at 7:00amDon’t misunderstand. Pat is not supporting the ChiComs. He’s saying, that if you think they’re gonna change, your nuts.
Report Post »I’ve often wondered, if Buchannan had been elected president, how different things would be now. The disastrous “Free Trade” policies would not have been adopted. The interventionist war policies would not have been in place. The borders would be secured… We would probably be a strong, self-reliant country, the way the Founders intended.
The powers-that-be are an awesome force. The NWO is coming, like it or not.

Posted on January 23, 2011 at 7:57amAmericans are being used and played like puppets by the Chinese!

Posted on January 23, 2011 at 1:25pmthe point he is making is, they are kicking all kinds of a$$ over there, economically, militarily. they have no incentive to adopt a democratic system. they are winning with their system. And as far as human rights goes, yes, correct, they don’t give a shi# what we think.

Posted on January 23, 2011 at 1:56pmANOPINION has said it well.
