Husband of 9/11 Victim Reportedly on a Mission to Save KSM and Other Suspected Perpetrators from the Death Penalty

The New York Post is reporting that Blake Allison, whose wife died in one of the planes that struck the World Trade Center on 9/11, recently went to Guantanamo Bay on a “shocking secret mission.”

What was his intention?  Apparently, to save the lives of confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed and other suspected terrorists connected to the attack.

As one of ten people related to the victims who won a lottery for tickets to the arraignment, the 62-year-old wine company executive reportedly even offered to testify against the death penalty in clandestine meetings with the terrorists’ lawyers.

“We can’t kill our way to a peaceful tomorrow,” Allison said.  “9/11 was a particularly egregious and appalling crime…I just think it’s wrong to take a life.”

The man is under no illusions that the suspects have reformed, saying they have “no apparent remorse and would do it again,” but, he reasons: “I’ve been opposed to the death penalty for decades, before my wife was murdered on 9/11…I’m still opposed to it.”

How do other families he has spoken to feel about the issue?  Apparently, Allison was shocked to find that no one shared his opinion, conceding: “I know they’re sincere in their beliefs…They want what they perceive as justice for their loved ones. I would never tell anybody in my position what they should feel.”

The New York Post described the arraignment, and Allison’s reaction:

[One of the lawyers] singled out defense attorney Cheryl Borman, who dressed in traditional Muslim garb, leaving only her face uncovered, and who asked that all women in the courtroom be ordered to dress modestly for the sake of the five defendants.

“She looked like the angel of death, this black shrouded figure, as she got up and walked up and back in the courtroom,” Allison recalled.

KSM and his cohorts employed a variety of tactics to turn the proceedings into a circus.

In a particularly sick and tasteless gesture, bin Attash made a paper airplane and interrupted the session by resting it on a microphone.

He later ticked off the judge by tearing off his shirt to show scars he said he suffered in beatings from guards at Gitmo.

All the while, their lawyers questioned the judge’s credentials and the validity of the military commission, and kept bringing up accusations of torture.

But none of that kept Allison from wanting to help.

“When Martin Luther was being asked to recant by the hierarchy of the Roman church for all his Protestant actions, he said, ‘Here I stand. I can’t do otherwise,’” Alison declared.

He would probably feel more comfortable, he says, if the suspects were tried in a federal courthouse like Obama originally proposed.

“Can the prosecutors credibly say that their evidence remains free of taint?” he asked, skeptical of the pledge that military prosecutors won’t use evidence obtained through torture.

    They should not be put to death, that would make them martyrs, which is what they want. The best punishment for them is, Life in prison in solitary confinement, with no contact with the outside world at all. As added punishment, you could make them listen to the Barny song day and night. :)

    Killing is vile, but killing is relative to who you are. For example Obama and the UN kill people everyweek us NATO as “peacekeepers” or freedom fighters. Bush killed 500,000 Iraqi children. The UN official position was it was alright to have 500,000 children. By all standards of court the UN and Obama are mass murderer’s as is Bush. The CIA drones people every week fighting for America. The people operating those drones are killers. Yes, they operate above the law in far away America droning sovereign citizens of foreign nations. Obama has sold us to the UN and NATO killing our sons and daughters in foreign lands all for NATO aka UN and the world resources aka corporatism and the world banking cartel located out of the City State, yes City State, of London. The City State of London as is the UN are sovereign states as is Vatican City.

    America is now hated by almost everyone in the world for being killers and bullies.

    Vote against any candidate opposed to any right given in the Constitution. Ask Your public servant to remove the US membership to the UN and to abolish the Federal Reserve.

    I say let these wastes of human flesh who are looking to be killed to be considered martyrs sit in a rotten jail cell the rest of their miserable lives, but I would have no problem with the death penalty. If society so deems you unfit to live with the rest of us (which they are) then to hell with them.

    I, like Mr. Allison, believe that killing another human being is abhorrent. However, I have no illusions that the only way to ensure that folks like KSM aren’t later released (like say the Locherbie bomber) is to kill him. If we must kill him, I think we ought to do it in such a way that will give people who believe as he does reason to reconsider their own decision to be terrorists. How about death by firing squad with bullets blessed by a Rabbi and dipped in pig’s blood? I guess I learned my Machiavelli well, it is better to be feared than loved if you cannot be both.

    Mr.Allison is entitled to his opinion but unfortunately justice has been delayed,KSM has admitted his role in 9/11,he was the mastermind and so summary execution is warranted in his case and probably the rest as well.All this talk of martyrdom is ridiculous because the fanatics that believe like KSM will engage in terrorist activities weather he’s executed or not.

    As far as the 72 virgins that’s a fairy tale told to the lunatics to motivate them to spread their jihad.
    Just smear them all with pigs blood just prior to execution and terrorize them a little.

    Did Blake Allison truly love his wife? This “mission” he’s on, makes him seem like a man who wanted rid of his wife.
    He almost comes across as Anti-American. Three thousand people died that day, not just his wife. American citizens were under terrorist attack.

    As long as these terrorists are alive, they are still a threat to Americans.
    I’m going with the “eye for an eye” justice, in this mass murder trial.

      I do believe it is wrong to take a life and with this said I am with husband. But I think the best torcher for KSM would be life in prison so he would not die as a madder and have his entire room filled with the pictures and names of all 3000 who perished on 9/11/01 believe me after a life time those walls would start to talk back.

    With all due respect to him and anyone that thinks the same, I really wish you would reconsider this. If you think it is what “God” or “Jesus” would want – check it out again. Wrong. Read the Old Testament re basic principles that God approves of and Jesus did not amend re criminals. The command to not “kill” is only referring to murdering “innocent” people. God approves of capital punishment if the person is found guilty — it is NEEDED in order to keep order, protect the people, deter others from doing it. “Kill” and “murder” have two different meanings. Don’t take my word for it, do your research. It’s well worth the time taken. In this case, they are deserving of the death penalty. They even WANT it so they can be “martyrs” in their eyes. Unfortunately, we need to execute certain murderers, terrorists, etc. in order to protect and maintain our country and its citizens.

      GOD BLESS YOU MOMPRAYIN you do study GODS WORD and you are spot on there is a difference the word KILL such as in time of war but when taken back to the original language it means thou shalt do no murder that is laying in wait to murder and innocent person.GOD says when they have had their trial with all the facts and truth laid out and the jury finds them GUILTY without doubt they are to be executed that day as GOD said if the people see the havoc in the streets will cease and their soul returns to GOD and they will face the person they murdered and wait for final judgement.Scripture also says you cannot have forgiveness in the flesh for murder.I disagree with the gentleman but he is entitled to his personal belief and we have to respect it no matter how much we are confused and taken back by it.Thank you again for Truth from GODS WORD.

    Listen clearly; as much as I am against the death penalty, and do sympathise and respect his decision, I persoanlly cannot go along with it. On 9/11 I lost one close to me and cannot rationally make a call on these cowards and murderers. If the courts find them guilty and fry them, fine with me, if they give them life in a hog pen, just as good.
