‘I Don’t Fear Death’: Chavez Vows Venezuela‘s Socialist ’Revolution‘ Won’t End

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — President Hugo Chavez said Sunday that he has no intention of ceasing his efforts to transform Venezuela into a socialist country, and he expressed confidence that his allies would take the reins of his “Bolivarian Revolution” if he died or decided to step down.

“There’s no end here, this is going to continue,” said Chavez, referring to the political movement he named after 19th-century independence hero Simon Bolivar.

Chavez, a former paratroop commander who was first elected in 1998, said his close confidants would undoubtedly assume power and continue his efforts to steer Venezuela toward socialism if he were to die or retire from politics.

“I don’t fear death,” Chavez said during an interview broadcast on the local Televen television channel, adding that he believed a younger generation of revolutionary-minded allies would persevere in Venezuela’s ongoing political tug-of-war.

Critics ranging from opposition leaders to representatives of the Roman Catholic Church claim Chavez has become increasingly authoritarian and poses a threat to the South American country’s democracy by aspiring to cling to power for decades to come.

Chavez vowed on Sunday to win Venezuela’s next presidential election in 2012.

A coalition of opposition parties is just beginning to debate how and when to choose a contender for next year’s vote.

“The opposition doesn’t have any future,“ Chavez said during his Sunday television and radio program ”Hello President.”

Chavez remains Venezuela‘s most popular politician despite his administration’s failure to resolve pressing problems: a severe shortage of housing for the poor, widespread violent crime, economic stagnation, and Latin America’s highest inflation rate.

The underpinning theology for the NWO is bahai belief. An imperious and self serving organization that seeks to destroy America from within by multikulti. The bahai organization is run by a foreign council that seeks to have the government of America recognize it’s supreme authority.

The 7th circuit court just slapped the foreign bahai’s hands for trying to enforce a 1966 ruling that ordered an apostate bahai from using bahai trademarks.

Anyone else see a problem with that?

I do. Can anyone trademark the crucifix? Why did the bahai get preferential treatment in the 1966 case?

Can anyone imagine a judge deciding which Christians are the true Christians?

Search: baha’i nsa 7th circuit court decision

The Supremes might be asked to hear the case.

I remember the weeks before Chavez’s first election. The Venezuelan community in South Florida smitten with him, worked tirelessly to get out the absentee vote. They refused to heed the warnings of Cuban-Americans who viewed him as another Fidel Castro. Those Venezuelans have since lost their fortunes and their country. Decades from now Chavez will still be in control of Venezuela.

America’s founding fathers overlooked term limits, too. After too many years of FDR-style big government, we had a course-correction with the U.S. president serving at most two terms. Note to Congress – put some term limits in place for yourselves so the voters don’t have to work so hard to get some fresh blood in there after awhile! Even if you’re good and upstanding, it is a tour of service, not a career!
As for Chavez, who’s surprised he wants to be there long-term. We pretty much already figured he would.

A “socialist revolution” is code words for eventual totalitarian government. All it takes is for the population to ‘grow’ into their roles as slaves. Once totalitarianism has flourished and ‘people’ have been dominated their spirits can be broken and, as the word Islam means, they “submit” the game is over.

“Revolution” is government license for permanent aggressive oppression against the people.

I beg to differ. People like him are driven by fear and insecurity, coupled with narcissism. This is what leads him to believe that everyone must be controlled, business must be controlled, and the individual must be subjects of the state and the collective. He fears personal freedom and letting people have self determination, because it would make him irrelevant, something no narcissist can stand.
