‘I Don’t Think We Know What We‘re Doing Enough’: An Interview With an Anti-War Protester

Chicago was the scene of more than one protest this weekend. Not only did the Occupy Wall St. folks deliver a Windy City edition, but protesters also gathered for the Midwest Anti-War Mobilization rally (they eventually joined up together). Blogger Repel Pundit caught up with one alleged protester to get her views on what was really going on and even her thoughts on the flag. It was a jovial, yet candid, interview.
What do I mean? Well, when asked if she thought this was a “patriotic march,” the girl answered, “I don’t– I mean, I don‘t think we know what we’re doing enough for it to be technically patriotic. (Laughs.) I mean, come on, this is like crazy liberals, I don‘t even know what’s going on.”
That certainly fits into the popular criticism that recent protests are disorganized, and that many of the protesters are struggling to unite around a message.
She had more, though. After saying she thought the American flag represented “nastiness,” Rebel Pundit asked when that change occurred. “I do not know enough about American history to be able to give you that answer.”
All right then. Here‘s to hoping the simple explanation is that she’s Canadian:

In the left coast what we also need is more marijuana shops ! not. i work in the drug and alcohol recovery field, it is ashame what this government is doing to the youth. these kids in the left coast are getting medical marijuana cards like they are free candy. how can they get jobs when they can’t pass a simple drug test, America is so out of touch with what is really going on with kids. the enabling that is going on with families is out of control, parents are actually afraid of their children and enable the hell out of them.
The real truth is, are families are screwed up, all the young kids i deal with are being taught there is no god, many of them claim to be atheist, the boogie man dries our state, people are rude, selfish and self centered and completely entitled.
in the left coast our roads are screwed up, if your an illegal from any country there are free programs everywhere, schools being built to house illegal children, pot shops everywhere kids hanging out on street corners, kids with i pods, smart phones sitting in front of starbucks getting screwed up on caffeine and bull drinks.
There is something really wrong with the message we are sending our youth. what happen to the days when our first job was mowing a lawn, bagging groceries, working at the local nurseries or at the local gas station.

The Muslim Brotherhood which was formed in the 1920′s raised up other muslim organizations such as Hezbolah and Hamass.. through Obama, the Muslim Brotherhood has control of much of the world. that is why they used our military to take down ours and Israel’s strongholds in the middle east. Obama sees himself as being the chief calaphator of the world… briinging Sharia everywhere and establishing a worldwide caliphate. That is why he and Holder sold guns to Hezbolah drug cartels in Mexico. That is why so many are being beheaded in Mexico and why Obama is suing Az for their attempt at border security. Obama has broken probably 95% of our Constitution. We need to rise up and get these muslims out of our country.

I went to my youngst son’s graduation a couple years ago and had to sit there and listen to some little dumb ass dork teacher for 45 mins. give his speach calling the graduates to activisum. By the time we left I wanted to find him and punch him in the face.

You are preaching to the choir my friend. I attended christain school until 5th grad. Switched to the heathen public schools of Jackson Michigan back in the 80s. I knew then I would never send a child of mine to public school.
I have two daughters now. We home schooled both for the first few years, instilling the work ethic, the ability to do what is right, and not run with the crowd. Both now attend christian school. My 12 year old skipped up to 9th grade, is a honor student, and playes varsity volleyball. My 11 year old skipped one grade and is also an honor student.
My children are not educated by the public schools, the MTV, modern entertainment. They know right from wrong, and are involved in church, music, sports, and other activities. They are happy, and do not carry the weight of trying to pleas their stupid friends who do drugs, have sex…. like in the public school.

I think the frustration is real,but they are barking at the wrong door. The real culprits are in DC not in Wall St. IMHO the big problem with this kids is that they need to be educated in economics yet they are tought about global warming and homosexuality 101 .On the other hand there is a real problem today for entrepeneurship, not only due to the overregulation, but also due to the overgrowth of corporations size.For example, I love Wal Mart, but I really don’t know what will happens when there is no other retailer but them. Biggest corporations are also the cause for the globalization of problems. When Europe has a problem we feel it here. Why? Because Corp are grown so big they need a market bigger and bigger just make a marginal profit. The other danger is the biggest they get, the easy is for any goverment to take over. Just remember AIG and GM. It is not the same to nationalize half a dozen corporations that several thousands. In no time the same lemonade stand will be let to the biggest corporations to invest in, your livesavings won’t be enought for it, you will be let to work for somebody else for the rest of your life even though you dreamed for more. You could have a brilliant idea for a business, but if you dont have couple millions(now) your dream will be just a dream. I’m for Mon& Pop business type (and size)

Shamanistic drum beats accompany the numerous protests going in America, and has a similar flavor as the days of Woodstock with drugs, sex, rock and roll…… Nope, nothing funny there, and all true.
Let me see. I talked about the public schools in the hands of the fed gov.. Since doing so (back in the early 70s) we have dropped from number one in the world in math and science, now site around the 50th percentile, we have high dropout rates, low scores, heathen behavior, school shootings, and young people defacating in public, having sex out in the open. All real again, and not real funny,.
I talked about my education. Let me see if there is any joke there. I went to Jackson Baptist school up until 5th grade. In sixth I switched to Frost Junior High. Drug use was common, violence was also common, teachers did not seem to have control, academics were a joke compared to my private schooling….. Nope, no joke there either.
I also spoke of my girl’s education. Both my girls were home schooled, both skipped grades, both are now enrolled in Christian School, are high honor roll, and they play sports, play music, are active in church, and they do not go to school with dope heads. Both are doing very well, and do not have to worry about the filth I dealt with in public education. Nope, no joke there.

My kids get a heavy dose of history, with slightly lesser emphasis on English, Writing, and Math (useable math). From noon to 3pm they listen to Wilkow Majority on Sirius Patriot, and at 5 they watch GBTV. I require verbal recaps of Wilkows Show, and a 1 page written (bullet point style) report on GBTV’s broadcast, duet the next day. My 13 yr old is an early riser and has started listening to Mike Church at 6am. These 2 kids have a firmer grasp on economic and constitutional understanding than I would guess probably 85% of these Wall Street protestors. OH~ and part of their ‘gym class’ is marksmanship with their rifles for which I conduct the class. Now, my wife is an RN and works nightshift at the local hospital..and I am an oilfield worker on dayshift, working about 15 hours a day. So I want to hear NO excuses as to why other families can’t educate their own instead of relying on the state to indoctrinate their youth.

Maybe the actual protestors are idiots, but the entities enabling them is the real cause for concern. I believe this is the beginning of the end play that is the goal of the Obama admin and a large protion of the democrats and republicans in our governments (local, state an federal). I can tell you, I’m plenty concerned about the out-come of these protests and what will happen to our once great country. I‘ve typed this before and I’ll type it again; PREPARE, PREPARE, PREPARE! Get stocked up on food, water, basic need items (i.e., meds, toilet paper, alternate heat/cooking source, batteries, candles, wooden matches, and last, but not least…guns and ammo.
