    You have to feel sorry for Klein and Matthews. They are both washed up. Neither has ratings of any kind worth noting, which means no one is really paying attention to them. They offer opinion-exclusive commentary backed up with nothing but more opinion. Facts elude both of them completely. They are merely a chuckle on the road to restoring some sense of sanity in our country. The more light that is shined on the cockroaches, the more they scurry for cover.

    Most Media only reports and react to what is happening. Glenn tells us what will happen if this continues. Beck has been giving us a scenario of things that will happen for 2 years. and he has showed video clips of things he said in the past that we are now witnessing.
    It’s funny that a Phony Media calls Beck Phony Professorial.

      Both Matthews and Klein are from Philadelphia. A very left wing city. Also, I am very sad that Glenn and Hannity has been kicked off the Big Talker 1210 here in Phila, starting on Jan 1. I no longer will listen to that station. I am hoping another station will pick up Glenn in this area.

    These guys couldn’t learn anything even if they did watch Beck. They knew absolutely everything there was to know when they graduated college. It must be a terrible burden for them.
    I‘ve watched Beck a lot and can’t imagine him advancing a conspiracy theory since he uses the words and actions of those people he exposes. Not only that but, he tells folks to find out for themselves rather than believing him without question.
    The things that Matthews and Kline put out are always subject to scrutiny because of their history of misinformation and hyperbole.

    Chris Matthews has said so many bizarre things in the past year that I am surprised that anyone listens to him anymore. I guess by the ratings hardly any do. Matthews biggest problem with everyone who works for Fox is that they demonstrate just how unimportant he is, and he takes any chance that he can get to attack someone who works at that network.
    As for Klein and Time magazine, let the circulation numbers show just how relevant either one is.

      I used to watch Beck when he was over at CNN. He was the same then as now, he ripped on the Bush policies just as he rips on Obama’s now. And when Obama was elected he mysteriously disappeared from the CNN line-up, same with Greta van Sustern and now Lou Dobbs.

      The liberalists in the media are failing with the American public because they are feeding pablum for news and not meat. The American public needs meet in its news to feel satisfied and the liberalists sorrily are not doing it.

    Here you have a guy (Beck) who has brought hundreds of thousands of people together for a peaceful rally, that not one put any person, party, or individual down.

    You have the same man who has gone to a town and united people to a level that is truly a blessing, and yet this is what Chris Matthews and these idiots say about him?

    Beck is a big boy and he can stand up for himself. The fact that he has something called the TRUTH and FACTS in his corner is also a help.

    These schmucks have done nothing for anyone and they hate the fact that someone like Beck is actually trying to unite people instead of dividing people.

      When I told her a bonus is for a job / work well done (Or if your company gets a Govie bailout), she got pissed off.

Joe Klein is exactly on target with hius assessment of Glenn Beck. I’ve listened to Beck for the past decade and have watched him get progressively more religious, paranoid and irrational in that time. The guy is a troubled individual and it’s very unfortunate that he has access to the national airwaves. He’s stirring up a lot of unrest and paranoia. Lou Dobbs, on the other hand, is a level-headed guy who refrains from preaching armageddon. Beck should take a lesson from Dobbs and Limbaugh and get his feet back on the ground.

The facts and “first person” information carry weight, whereas the rhetoric these fools keep spouting floats off into the atmosphere. Critical thinking needs an open mind to work . There is no critical thinking here. The elites really do live in another world….where cake is bread and black is white and truth is dangerous.
      There is no evidence that Glenn has fabricated any information, misrepresented anything, or lied to his viewers, or listeners about ANYTHING.

      Well, let’s see…Beck donates a huge amount of his salary, royalties and book profits to charity…puts a struggling little town in the national spotlight, helps them and at the same time holds them up as an example for what we could all be….gets more people to return to their God, learn history, rediscover first principles, learn the constitution, and get involved in the daily affairs of their country instead of leaving it up to ruling elites….hosts rallies where the greatness of America is extolled, and citizens are called to action…gets us to start watching for the signs of a coming collapse we all know is eventual and be prepared to help ourselves and our neighbors……Why yes, Joe and Chris, clearly it’s the work of a greedy racist Elmer Gantry.

      I only read the headline but if it takes a charlitan to bring us to the Constitution and our right minds then praise God for the Charlitan Glenn Beck.

      Maybe they‘re haggard and worn out because they’re 11% in a country that they love and they have to live with the knowledge that the things which must come to pass to save this country, and to preserve the many from the powerful few, will never happen, especially with people like Glenn Beck serving as mouthpieces for the elite to convince people the up is down, red is blue, and that owning property entitles one to a greater share of wealth, value, and power in society (as opposed to what most people do, which is work).

      Conspiracy theories my butt. Glen backs his claims up with the facts and figures. All these guys can do is name call like school kids. They have nothing else to work with. Keep them howling Glenn. It provokes the curiosity of more and more potential allies.

      Glenn Beck does remind me of a Bircher. The John Birch Society possessed such a mainstream message—the existence of a Communist world system with tentacles in the United States—that it had a potent influence over whole sections of the Republican Party. It managed this even after its leader and founder, Robert Welch, had denounced President Dwight D. Eisenhower as a “dedicated, conscious agent” of that same Communist apparatus. Right up to the defeat of Barry Goldwater in 1964, and despite the efforts of such conservatives as William F. Buckley Jr. to dislodge them, the Birchers were a feature of conservative politics well beyond the crackpot fringe.

      Glenn Beck has not even been encouraging his audiences to reread Robert Welch. No, he has been inciting them to read the work of W. Cleon Skousen, a man more insane and nasty than Welch and a figure so extreme that ultimately even the Birch-supporting leadership of the Mormon Church had to distance itself from him. It’s from Skousen’s demented screed The Five Thousand Year Leap (to a new edition of which Beck wrote a foreword, and which he shoved to the position of No. 1 on Amazon) that he takes all his fantasies about a divinely written Constitution, a conspiratorial secret government, and a future apocalypse. To give you a further idea of the man: Skousen’s posthumously published book on the “end times” and the coming day of rapture was charmingly called The Cleansing of America. A book of his with a less repulsive title, The Making of America, turned out to justify slavery and to refer to slave children as “pickaninnies.” And, writing at a time when the Mormon Church was under attack for denying full membership to black people, Skousen defended it from what he described as this “Communist” assault.

      Can you explain to me which part of Murdoch’s worldwide media empire in NOT mainstream? Especially considering every conservative I know uses this same exact term; “lamestream”…as if you all have some sort of Republican ESP and somehow do not not hear this stuff coming from the same talking heads on the same media source. Some define mainstream as the antithesis of individuality…hmmmmm. Thats funny because everyone on this site and everyone I know who listens to FoxNews parrots the SAME terms. Its scary. Especially because the majority of these terms are for the sole purpose of creating a culture of HATE towards the other half of your country. And its working.
