‘I Locked Eyes With Her and She Just Gunned It’: Sandusky’s Wife Nearly Runs Over News Reporter

Wife Dottie Sandusky Nearly Runs Over News Reporter Courtney Brennan With Her Car

Courtney Brennan looked off camera moments before diving out of the car's path. (Image source: WPXI-TV)

A television news reporter had a frightening moment when she and her photographer were nearly run over by Jerry Sandusky‘s wife while taping a report in front of the former Penn State coach’s house Thursday.

Courtney Brennan of Pittsburgh’s WPXI-TV was taping a report about complaints police had received that Sandusky was watching children in a schoolyard from his back porch. Brennan suddenly looked off camera and quickly ducked out of the frame seconds before a car driven by Dottie Sandusky came zooming up the driveway, inches from where Brennan had been standing.

In a radio interview with Pittsburgh’s WKST-FM 96.1, Brennan said Dottie Sandusky actually “revved her engine at us before she came flying up the hill into her driveway.”

Brennan said she and her photographer weren‘t standing on the Sanduskys’ property and weren’t blocking the entrance to the driveway. She saw the car out of the corner of her eye and heard an engine revving when “she just came at us.”

“I locked eyes with her and she just gunned it,” Brennan told WKST.

Reporters can be the informers against acts like Sandusky’s. His wife’s actions, like her denials when he had little boys in their basement makes me feel as if she is a part of his crimes and should be prosecuted. These are people who totally think they are above the law. IF they are innocent, this doesn’t indicate it. REPORTERS should be every where it’s legal, shining spotlights on this and any story that speaks of child abuse.

I am not sticking up for Sandusky, but his lawyer said that he was not looking at kids. Rather the parents were taking their children to school through his property. And you can see the tracks where several people appear to have done just that.

He is likely to go down for his crimes, but I have my doubts about the latest accusation.

This is a borderline case, but when is it reporting and when is it stalking?

In too many cases, the same act done by someone in one profession (reporter, lawyer) is not considered a crime, while anyone else doing the same thing would go to jail. There should be one law for everyone.

I don’t know if the video was originally attached to this story (There seemed to be a gap near the top where one might have been); however it was available elsewhere. The reporter is seemingly caught by surprise and flinches as the SUV drives by, with no revving sound audible beforehand. She expressed no concern for herself, but only said that her cameraman came close to being hit. The camera view remains on the spot the reporter flinched out of without evidence of flinching or interjection on the cameraman’s part. He then zooms in on the SUV entering the garage and the door coming down. Hey, I just went back to check the video again, and it’s gone from the site where I saw it. Hurry up if you want to see it, scrubbing may be taking place. To sum it up; this story is not news; rather, it is a news reporter’s dream of advancing her career.

If this reporter had gone to the backyard to see if the playground could be seen she was trespassing and needed to be run over. YOU will notice this is a blonde woman reporter, the kind that thinks they are always right and they can do anything and get away with it because she is a reporter. She is pure evil because she thinks of nothing but herself and how she can get ahead and be better than a man reporter. She is driven by pride and arrogance, one is a sin and the other is a result of that sin. She should be fired for trespassing on private property.

I have no sympathy for Jerry and just a little (very little) for Dottie, but this is ridiculous.
The reporter said she (and her cameraman) were NOT on Sanduskey’s property or blocking their driveway. If that’s the case, how freakin’ close could the car have come? I doubt the property line is right at the edge of the driveway. It’s probably over at least a couple of feet. So this reporter is way overstating the danger she was supposedly in.
And Dottie ““revved her engine at us before she came flying up the hill into her driveway.”
What, is that like racking the slide on a 12 gauge? She “revved her engine at us?”
    STFU, Courtney.

The “media” daily over-steps their bounds. Sounds just like the unions/ ACORN groups which invade neighbors and ruin lives with their intrusiveness. Apparently with the media today, one may be innocent until proven guilty but one is not going to be spared harassment if just charged with a crime. Everyone is fair game for the media who profits from the nosiness of the public which has lost its sense of privacy and politeness. Perhaps the ordeals people are put through by the media should count as “ time served ” if found guilty. If proven innocent…then what ??

When reporters don’t have a story they just make one up to try to get attention.
Ms. Brennan is just such a reporter, and so are the folks at WKST that are talking to her.
Earth to all of them….the driveway is up a hill. You step on the gas harder to get up a hill. When you don’t want to talk to some jerk standing near the end of your driveway, you step on the gas a little harder to avoid them. So ? When you‘re NOT standing in fronty of a car it can’t run you over. What a concept ! So Ms. Sandusky made sure that ( another reporter that gives blondes a bad rep ) Ms. Brennan saw her by locking eyes with her, and then quickly proceeded past. I would have done the exact same thing. FYI that engine wasn’t “revved”. It simply accelerated uphill and quickly past. Ms. Brennan should have used the expression “Oh my God” to ask forgiveness for lying on camera about the incident.

Our local news showed the video from the guy next to jerrys house he must of taken the video from inside his house so jerry could not see him.

Now I am not saying jerry didn‘t look at kids but on the video it didn’t seem like he was watching kids as the media and his Neighbor says he was. it just seemed like he was playing with his dog.

I think the neighbors are just trying to stir up trouble.
