Incredible Raw Vid Shows Cars Piling Up During Wash. Winter Storm

A weekend winter storm in Washington state wreaked havoc on drivers trying to navigate a local hill. Cars and trucks continued slamming into each other as bystanders watched in horror:

    As a life long resident of Eastern Washington State, I felt compelled to make a few comments after perusing the entire video. “1” this video was obviously staged by FedEx to show the American consumer their dedication (left turn Clyde) “2” You should see videos of the liberal morons in Seattle trying to drive in the snow “3” The guy in the big pick-up that hit the tree will be given an EPA fine for running over a defenceless tree “4” This was just a bunch of good ol’ boys wishing everyone a Merry Christmas by demonstrating how real men drive bumper cars

    it’s a national security problem caused by your children eating to many macnuggets, there by causing excessive iceage on the roadways requiring an emergency governmental office to oversea the transverse of inclines in freezing weather…………then there has to be some oversight as to why a plowed roadway was not iced or sanded to further reduce the chance of people ice skating downhill……..it’s all a ploy by wanna be queen nancy to sell more flying brooms

    Spokane’s South Hill is always like this in the winter. This is nothing new, but you’d think people would find a different route or the city would do something about this street. Happens every winter.

      yep, ya noticed that too….That person had to be freaking but did a hec of a job doing exactly what one is supposed to do. DO NOT hit your brakes, as difficult as that is to do, it is the only way to make it through something like this…….

      People also forget that there is a reason for 1st and 2nd gears, even on automatics…….I use it all the time in the winter, if I start to slide, instead of hitting my brakes, I shift into low or 1st gear. I guess you have to grow up in New England to know how to drive in winter.

    Will this prompt DC to regulate the use of roads and/or snow itself? Or they may mandate that all northern states be 4-wheel drive/ carry 500 pounds of bricks for better traction, or perhaps require all cars to have a Batman grapple gun to grab on to telephone poles. Maybe there will be a snow-tax, where all states pay into an ‘insurance pool’ based on the average amount of snow they have so those who live with more snow can have their cars replaced by the government – because its only fair right? HAHA I mean look – we have a CRISIS on our hands!

    Can you believe the carnage caused by melting glaciers! Oh where is Al (global warming) Gore when you need him? Save us Al!!!
    Bet those folks would have paid big bucks for about 15 minutes of Al’s global warming bull. Better yet maybe Gores private jet could have melted the ice on that hill with the huge carbon footprint left by the “evil” fossil fuel turbines!

      At one point, there is a person walking down the hill on the left side of the video as vehicles are sliding by him.
      You would think somone finally did run up there and stop vehicles….

      That hill is over a mile long with 38 streets feeding into it (just verified that number on google maps). So it would have taken 76 people running up to a mile away, uphill on a sheet of ice, dodging sliding vehicles, to block every street. Yeah… I don‘t know why that ONE camera guy didn’t stop all of this!!!

      Hey Catharsis, anyone who believes in man-made global warming, (or climate change as you progressives like to now call it, since global warming was proven to be a complete fraud) is either so arrogant that no arguement will appease them or just complete idiots!!! There is only one being that can control the climate on a planet that is billions of years old. A planet that has been geologically proven to have gone through ice ages and global warmings millions, no billions of years before the human animal ever inhabited it!!! Humans have no more control over the climate of this planet than we do the direction the planet rotates, or the ebb and flow of the tide or the rising and setting of the sun!! The moon and the sun control our climates and for those who are religious God……but man has NO CONTROL over it whatsoever, and to think we do, just shows how arrogant and full of self-importance the human race is!

      why didn’t someone go to the top of the hill and try to prevent other from going down it???? Oh that is right they are progressives and it was the progression of the pile up that they were looking for, now the goverment will pay for all these cars and injuries and thus help us in the long run. the goverment will pay for all new trucks and cars, they will get ot pay the doctors and nurses, and medical supplies at 10000% over cost and thus making us all feel a whole lot better. Great plan, I see it now, why don’t I feel better though?

      Some people don’t know how to drive in ice.
      Get OFF THE BRAKES and steer away from the cars! The brakes only continue the slide. At least without the brakes you can steer your car with more control.

      Back in the 1980′s, we had a highway bridge near us go down in the middle of the night. It was quite high and four cars were on it when it fell. However, the people in the cars that were able to stop tried to warn the oncoming vehicles that the bridge was out. Most of them stopped. One vehicle, however, swerved around the other vehicles and floored it. As they raced by the horrified onlookers, they were screaming obscenities, as they went up and over and down, down, down more than 80 feet into the low water riverbed.

      Some people just don’t want to listen. At least these people lived to tell the story.
