‘If I Didn’t Have Any Guts I‘d Leave This Alone’: Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Why He Felt Compelled to Investigate Obama’s Birth Certificate

Earlier Thursday, The Blaze reported that Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio said he believes President Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a forgery. The Maricopa County Sheriff made the announcement following his months-long, volunteer-staffed probe into the president’s birth certificate.
Following up on his hard-hitting revelation, the 79-year-old lawman appeared on the Mike Broomhead show to discuss his team’s findings and give background on how the investigation came under his stewardship. The fiery Arpaio said he knows the personal trouble he may be letting himself in for with the Justice Department, but vowed that he would never back down due to its threats.
During the interview, Arpaio explained how a cold case posse consisting of well-trained ex-cops and a team of attorneys have been working tirelessly without pay to investigate this pressing matter at no taxpayer expense.
Arpaio said they found information that reveals the birth certificate could very well be a forgery and a fraud, and that despite the attacks of his detractors, “it was incumbent on somebody to look at this case and do something about it.”
The sheriff, who claimed he is “not accusing the president of crimes,” said he was approached by the Tea Party to investigate the matter and could not just turn a blind eye. He added that although his instructions were to in fact do everything he could to clear the president’s name, in the end, the probe turned up damaging information.
“We talked to a lot of people and have sworn statements from around the world,” he said. “I’d like to think we have the proof.”
Arpaio told Broomhead that the media “couldn’t care less” about the fraud uncovered regarding Obama’s birth certificate and that “they just think I am doing this for my own political gain. ”
But, he added, “millions are watching and saying ‘finally someone has looked into this matter.’”
Among the discrepancies Arpaio cites he uncovered is that the year-stamp on the president’s birth certificate is wrong — a fact he claims was proven by special equipment.
He said that while he would like to get a congressional investigation into the matter, he would prefer cooperation from the Hawaiian authorities first.
The ever outspoken Arpaio added that he knows what he is up against with the Justice Department and “if I was really smart and didn’t have any guts, I’d leave this alone.”
“I’m not that stupid,” he boomed. “I know how the Feds operate and I will not back down because of the Justice Department or any [of their] threats.”

I wish I could say this about our fearless leader in the White House. I heard today that the Republicans are saying that they might as well give up on winning the White House. All I have to say to that is that if four years aren’t enough to show the American people what Obama is and stands for, then we deserve what we get as country; however, those of us who never voted for that piece of crap to begin with will watch as our once greatest country in the world is destroyed, and on purpose by this piece of crap thats in the White House. Obama will give those illegals here in this country citizenship and we will never even get close to have another Republican President in the Whtie House. I grew up 85 miles from the Rio Grande and I taught on the border for seven years. Approximately 25% of those students going to school on the border are illegal and we are giving these illegals everything all the while they contribute nothing. I am certain Historian David Barton will agree that when our Founding Fathers added the requirement that the President Must be a ‘Natural Born Citizen’, which is the ONLY office in government to have that requirement, they meant much more than just requiring that the President be born here. Check history and it will tell you that Natural Born Citizen meant that BOTH PARENTS MUST BE BORN IN THE USA. The reason being, our Founding Fathers were so frightened that a British Citizen would try to infiltrate the American government as President and do untold damage and may even revert the country back to Great Britain.. Even E. Vattel’s Law of Nations stated that “natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country of parents who are citizens.” Ironically, Obama’s father, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was born in Kenya, South Africia and therefore his son, B. H. Obama, Jr.would follow his father’s citizenship line and also, at birth, become a British Citizen since South Africia was under Great Britain rule at that time. Now IF the Constitution is important which I believe it is, then we cannot toss out the Natural Born Citizen part and expect to keep the rest. It will not work that way! Also, a US Supreme Court opinion in Minor v. Happersett from 1875, confirms what has been said here.

Report Post »Where was Obama born? I don’t know if it was Hawaii, Kenya, or somewhere else. What I do know is that the birthplace does not matter. He is not a Natural Born Citizen as required by the Constitution because of his (claimed) father’s citizenship.
Beck is always telling everyone to go to the original writings and sources, but he ignores his own advice on this issue. A person born in the U.S. is not a Natural Born Citizen unless both of his parents are citizens at the time of birth. If the ignorant Beck and his followers think that being born in the U.S. meets this requirement, then according to that skewed reasoning an anchor baby that has illegal alien parents is qualified.
Read Vattel Book 1, Chapter 19, Section 212 and see the definitions. Name any other reference to the term Natural Born Citizen prior to Article 2, Section 1, Paragraph 5 in our Constitution. Why would they have added the part “…or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of Adoption of this Constitution,…”? If a sheriff finds investigates a murder and finds a smoking gun, do you think he says “I’m not accusing the guy holding it of murder, I’m just saying that it looks like a gun was used.” No. Sheriff Joe doesn’t mince words. If he’s not backing up his claims, it‘s because he isn’t confident in them. Or can you give a better reason?

Honest to goodness truth. If he has a case that’s solid, then he should present it. It isn’t something you “ease into.” If you have proof, as he claims to, then you take it to court and lock the pr*ck up. Sheriff Joe has never minced words before… so why is he doing it now? He refuses to make a firm stand and is instead playing to the media; how is that a strategy, when we know most of the MSM has a liberal bias? What, he’s reinforcing his case by having all the networks poke fun at him and rehash all the failed attempts like Orly Taitz and Donald Trump?
I’ll say it again. If he had an actual case, he’s file it in a court of law, not the court of public opinion. We wants a media circus, not a conviction. If you believe otherwise, give a reason, any reason that doesn’t require an excessive amount of tinfoil.

Everyone in America understands the every day need for a Birth Certificate. You need it for so many things. The same thing with a Social Security Number.
Barack has neither that are valid. His own account of his birth would still make him a citizen but NOT Natural Born as required by the constitution. Natural born means you are a citizen naturally because both of your parents are a citizen. He was born a Dual-Citizen of Kenya and America. But that his B C is a forgery does make one wonder if he was even born in America. Also why does he use a SSN that is not his own and is from Conn? He never lived there.
He has spent millions of his own money and millions more of our taxpayer money defending never releasing his actual BC. Hawaii has also spent much money defending him and refusing to show anyone his BC. They refused to even release it when required to by a Court. Telling the court to just take their word.
