‘If NFL Strikes, Lingerie Football Will Be the Only Game in Town’

Dorothy Parker once said that “brevity is the soul of lingerie.” In Cleveland, Ohio, lingerie has become the soul of football.
Lingerie football is taking Cleveland by storm. “It’s more comfortable this way,” one woman said.
More than 200 women showed up for the try-out.
“I just appreciate playing football, I don’t care what they put me in.”
The founder of the league said, “If they go [the NFL] into a strike, this will be the only game in town really,”

Was for naught though; didn’t go for it. She said I could watch “that” when the NFL started lining them up in nothing but cups, and boots.

That is what they wear though, the shorts & tank tops, so I’m not quite sure why they call it Lingerie football. They play on a much shorter field, and their rules are a little different, but they do go all out and I’m sure it must hurt a little with having no pads except shoulder, knee, and elbow, and their helmets. but their all in really good shape. really good shape!
