Illinois Christian School Teacher Charged With Masturbating in Class

A 26-year teaching veteran at a Christian school in suburban Chicago has been charged with a felony after students allegedly caught him masturbating behind his podium in class.
CBSChicago.com reports Paul LaDuke, 75, may have been doing this in class for the last 10 years:

On Friday, a student at Schaumburg Christian School, located at 200 N. Roselle Rd., reported to another teacher that LaDuke appeared to be masturbating while seated at his podium during class.
The teacher notified the school administration, which launched an internal investigation. LaDuke was fired on Friday and, on Monday, school officials contacted Schaumburg police.
“Obviously, she was distressed and upset by what occurred, but we’re very thankful that she brought it forward,” said Schaumburg police Sgt. John Nebel.
Detectives interviewed several students and LaDuke was arrested on Monday.
Investigators determined that, while seated at a podium in class on Friday, LaDuke unzipped and lowered his pants and masturbated while students were present in the classroom.

Being repulsed instead of amused by this situation is not a sign of self righteousness. It’s a sign of normality. But I can see how someone who is different could come to that conclusion. We tend to assume others to be like ourselves. So you assume that everyone is amused, like you. And you think anyone who says otherwise must be lying. And why would you lie about something like this unless you were pretending to be pious.
But the truth is, most people, especially parents, would find absolutely no humor in this situation. And that‘s not because they’re being sanctimonious. It’s because this is disgusting.

Posted on November 16, 2011 at 9:37amIt is frightening to be a teacher these days..If kids take a mind too..they can set a teacher up with false accusations..This has caused the schools a great many problems and unfounded lawsuits.. Some schools have taken the precautions to set cameras in classrooms so that allegations can be proven or disproven..I would not want to work in a school which did not have them..This protects the children..much less likelihood of anything like this happening..the school from lawsuits and the accused from being incarcerated and having their reputations soiled forever..

This man somehow had weaknesses that were not identified until now. The positive? The student did exactly what should have been done. The teacher that was told about this perverts actions did exactly what he was supposed to do. The school leadership fired the teacher and called the police. No cover ups. The safety of the children in school was made sure. Weird guy removed in disgrace and left to God and the authorities. Sounds like a bad incident worked out for the ultimate best for the safety and reputation of the school.

It’s not a matter of being better then anyone else, it is a matter of accepting Gods forgiveness and trying to live a life pleasing to Him, but knowing that we WILL fail as nobody is perfect. And when we do, He is there to pick us up, and forgive our sins that we may try again.

The difference is that this is a private, Christian school, so the people who pay the bills will have a lot to say about the changes that need to be made, or take their business elsewhere, unlike the majority of us who have had kids stuck in publik ejumakashun and could not afford to take them elsewhere or could not home-school. Either way, the publik skoolz get our tax dollars anyway and are tools of the NEA whether we like it or not.
