How about we kick him and his Mosque out of the US , and stop being mister nice guy in the middle east , and show these people just how powerful we can be.Obviously this should have been our strategy from the start . Obamas mister nice guy policies cant work in countries that have been doing nothing but fighting for thousands of years to show who is more powerful . A political system, masquerading as a religion, whose founder was Muhammad, a man who failed at preaching about his “religion” of poorly plagiarized Jewish scripture , but then succeeded when he resorted to banditry, mass murder, looting and pillaging, slave trading, pedophilia, and bestiality. Muhammad’s legacy: approx. 1.57 billion Muslims who must emulate Muhammad, the “perfect man”, or forever burn in hell.There has never been peace in the Muslim world. No golden rule, They have always been in a constant state of war with their neighbors.
    Jesus Christ,who began his ministry in the wilderness, where for 40 days and 40 nights his fast was interrupted by a visit from Lucifer who tempted him with the promise of a worldly kingdom that would encompass all that he could see before him. This is the same offer that Muhammad accepted years later in a cave where he claims to have seen Gabriel but we know that it was the devil himself.
    We know , of course , that Christ rebuked Lucifer and told him to “get thee hence”.
    There can be no doubt when you compare the legacy of these two men. They are polar opposites.
    This Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is cut from the same cloth as those animals who hijacked those planes and flew them in to the World Trade Center. Tell him that he can build his mosque in hell but not at ground zero.

      So right. I could quibble about it not being a religion, because the root of the word “religion” means “taboo” and as such, Islam is definitely a religion. I’m not so sure it contains a spiritual teaching in the sense that following its precepts leads to spitritual development.You can’t necessarily judge a religion by its dogma, though. Jesus was horrendously misunderstood and misinterpreted by the very founders of the christian church in the 3rd century, leading to some pretty appalling behaviors in his name. If we were to evaluate the core teachings of Jesus based on those behaviors, we would draw erroneous conclusions about the nature of Christianity. But Yes, comparing the careers of Jesus and Mohamed really tells the story, doesn’t it? I keep hoping to find that Mohamed was a victim of gross misinterpretation as a way to separate the aberrated behavior of the jihadists from his core teachings. But alas, so far no success at all in that direction. Mohamed‘s teachings seem to be a complete justification of his behavior in life which appears to be a model for the behavior of Islam’s most radical elements. I mean, he supposedly personally beheaded 800 Jews! Would any Muslim care to enlighten me? I’d like to give your religion a break, but if the originator’s life story is a laundry list of vile and violent behaviors, it’s not easy.

Nevertheless, Muslim believers are determined to achieve this new world order by “any means necessary” (their words). Are we so foolish to think putting Muslim idealists in powerful positions in America is not something they would condescend?     I still think they should go ahead and build it, and then have all the surrounding buildings open up a bunch of strip joints and gay nightclubs (huge explicit neon signs mandatory), Jewish delis and maybe a couple BBQ joints with all-pork menus.

      That’s the way I took it – do it or else! So the State Dept paid his way back so he could consult with terrorists on how to get his way – or else! Personally, I think they ought to build an inner city college prep school there that teaches kids the Constitution and real history (sort of a Hillsdale College type prep school). It’s time we started a movement to take our children and grandchildren back.

      Walkwithme, they are not calling it a victory mosque, but that’s what it is. This is standard procedure for muslims, The dome of the rock mosque is a victory mosque. Several mosques in Turkey are victory mosques. I say let them have their mosque when we can have a church in Mecca.

    This quote from the above linked Time article speaks to the fact that men are quick to KILL women in their own family who are SEEN by men from outside their family circle. These women are now in fear for their lives because of their inability to prevent this in the tent cities erected after the floods.

If we don’t honor the muslins/ islanisms, by allowing this momeunt, to their great acheivement, then there will be people targeted for their revenge.       When we look back years from now, this will be the issue that became THE TURNING POINT. If this Imam is SOOOO ! concerned about p!ss!ng off the radicals, (which his not his concern at all) then why doesn’t he spend more of OUR money and go talk to the MURDERING little ICEHOLES. I think he and this administration, (who goes right along with anything that will help bring this country down) should be more concerned about the reaction of WE THE PEOPLE, then what the radicals might do.

If i see one more article or hear one more lecture about being tolerant and respectful to those of the Islam faith by Obama, Bloomberg etc I am going to lose it. Enough already!!       Great point. So, why do you think they are so intolerant of criticism, so easy to insult? This is only speculation, but it’s a generally accepted observation that people who are touchy about their beliefs, insisting that others accept them, are insecure in those beliefs.       There is something wrong in America when you have to fear for your well being and your family’s well being if you speak of what you see, of what you witness, and then of what you think. But such is the case we find as we progress closer and closer to the brand of diversity that liberals encourage us to embrace.

      We are encouraged to have tolerance for groups that have no tolerance for us. We are told they are to occupy our homeland and our sacred places; all the while we are demanded and made to remain silent. Whatever method is called upon from the arsenal of coercions: political correctness, intimidation, or physical force . . . tolerance by way of submission is created.

      But for a moment, let’s turn our memories back to the eve of the Iraq War. There was much to do to ensure the Muslim world that holy and sacred place such as mosques in the Holy Land would not be fired upon or occupied because of religious significances; it was recognized and respected that they were hallowed places of history and of worship.

      And as the breadth of our tolerances for diversity are extended beyond the boundaries of what is sound in our judgment, here at home, we are moved closer to becoming a minority in a fabricated reality that does not tolerate our brand of diversity. It is the ultimate of illusions, of how a mouse can swallow an elephant, simply by taking away what you have before you realize that it is gone.

      It’s interesting to note then, and it should not be confused in any way with radical ideals or radical notions, of any sort . . . We should be able to observe and recognize the fairness and justices of Islam just as they are professed to be, that Islam is not to be confused with radical ideals and values, even though when we peer beneath the surface and we see it as we see it to be, we dare not lift our heads and proclaim nor ask any questions. The fact that Muslims around the world, now represented by Imam Rauf, are insisting on desecrating a holy place in a country foreign to their origin, that if it does not take place, violence will erupt, is an occupation against their host country’s will, our will. These are immigrants; and in a sane world they’re expected to immerse themselves in their host country’s culture. It’s not the other way around . . . the other way around is an occupation and is what military victories historically have yielded, unless you’re the US military that respects, rebuilds, improves, and leaves behind nothing but democracy . . . .

      However, subservience is still expected to be attained. We are facing coercion from a religion that has the power and persuasion of governments, including our own against our will (Bloomberg and Obama), and their armed forces and the will and desire to utilize them in whatever form is necessary, including threats of violence. This religion, this collective government, this ideology, it does not tolerate our existence and celebrates our demise even if celebration of that comes in the form of silent complacency as if silence and complacency in itself are a prayer of thanks, honor and holy worship. And perhaps even greater homage and respect is given in prayer by building a colossal monument, a thirteen story building, an inferno to gather and dance around in celebration of a victorious and glorious accomplishment.

      And then to the point of what is most interesting to note here: Rauf‘s arguments are built upon the same foundations of logic as our president’s, and of all liberals. They construct their realities upon the entanglements of illogical coercions, that populations are forced to accept as new realities by way of threats and brutally corrupt political force. The similarity in their abilities to fabricate socio-political realities between peace seeking Islam and liberalism . . . is telling.

      And so, it has become nothing less than a crime against our liberty that against our will we are to live with what is not logical, what does not make sense before our eyes and ears and in our minds; but mostly in our consciousness. In perspective, when a group in minority sets out to construct strategies to attain what they want against the will of a majority, there is an understanding among them that coercion must take place. And there is also an understanding that when coercion runs short of gaining compliances, force, or threats of force, must be administered in a variety of ways and degrees of severity. This administering, presents itself as physical discomforts or as psychological abuses such as creating harsh realities (induced dependence, high taxes, centralized health care) that provide increased comforts to few at the expenses of many; the objectors, the majority, they are systematically isolated, made to become aware of their new and growing minority status until it becomes illogical for them to continue in the face of the obstacles that have been placed in front of them before they knew it was happening, such as health care bills that get passed in the night without proper review.

      Now let’s keep it honest here . . . we are not a radical people because we witness words and observe actions such as those displayed by the recent Discovery Building terrorist, or the intense desire to build a mosque at ground zero. Nor should we allow ourselves to be illogically framed as the instigator and perpetrator violating rights, principles and values by those in the minority vying for the power of change, vying to change our constitution by eliminating the very rights and principles that they themselves utilized to attain their statuses of power and persuasion . . . a mouse is swallowing an elephant before our very eyes. And our president, he so eloquently displays his side of it all and on a daily basis in his desire to continue his campaign for his brand of hope and for his ideas of change all the while hinting ambiguously at unity . . . Whose unity is the question; who is included and who is not in his idea of change and “unity?”

      This is a question, an issue so illogical, so out of focus, that it forces one to question many things that are sitting beneath the surface laying in wait, distorted, yet very clear in that they are there.

      It’s not hard to understand why they want to build it as close as they can to a site that they see as holy ground now. Research it some guys you will find they like to build on or near where they think there has been a holy war. Put it together also look into the flight that crashed into the ground and you will find that they were and are trying there as well. K.I.S.S keep it simple stupid is what I have to say to myself. Which is they have declared a holy war against us who they call the great satin. We are at war we just don’t accept it yet. Yes there are good muslims just like there were good solders in any army we have ever faced! For me the line in the sand is now drawn if it endangers me or my family then oh well. Some things are worth dying for and my country is one of them.

      Peters your opinion is on target. The analogy of, “a mouse is swallowing an elephant before our very eyes” is correct. We must listen very closely to every word that is said by HILARY CLINTON and IMAM RAUF. Remeber she gave him the approval and our money to go on a campaign to encourage the friendly ISLAM. Can they really think we don’t see an enemies sly tactics when they are used.
      If peaceful Islamics exist then they have to call out those their own that choose to kill to get what they want. We should not feel indimated by Imam Rauf or Hilary Clinton to do what does not make sense. COMMON SENS SAYS NO!

      We had the priviledge of having a man by the name of Walid Shobat come to our church. He used to be a PLO fighter, who became a Christian in 1983. He shared during several services why the muslims are putting a Mosque where they are. It is a very specific thing that they are doing AND we are letting them do to us by building that mosque where they are.What it means to us as Americans and very specifically, what the muslims intentions are.
      If you have a chance to see him. Go. Look him up in google. He has a website that will rock your world. He used to be on the inside and was taught to hate all Jews. He now loves them and is a defender of them.
      He told us to wake up. Everything that the muslims are doing and intend to do is in the bible, if we would just look.
      If anyone has noticed, America is not mentioned in the end time prophecies. I now believe because we simply dont exist and/or we no longer are allies of Gods beloved Israel.
      Please take time to hear what Walid has to say. He has his own website, he is on youtube. If you can, go to the calvary chapel of escondido website. Under media, Under the yellow colored speaker tab you will see his name with the 5 lessons he taught. Your jaw will drop when you listen to the proof he has!!!!
      I wish that Glenn would do an indepth interview with him. He is a light in the darkness.
      Be very, very clear, as a Christian I would NEVER dream of killing you if you disagree with me about Jesus. I go to my prayer closet and pray for you privately.
      The goal of any ‘good’ muslim is to kill all the Jews, Christians and the big satan. If you believe anything else, you only are kidding yourself!
      God help America……because He cant bless us with how we have turned our backs on Him as a nation!!!!!

      I am sick to DEATH of all these people trying to “explain” Islamic culture to excuse the hammosque being built at Ground Zero. This Imam is in AMERICA. Hear that, Mr. Rauf? A-M-E-R-I-C-A. YOU are now here in OUR culture. Let us explain TO YOU what it would mean to US if you were to carry out your plan. Americans are proud of our OWN culture. We frown on premeditated murder under the guise of religion. What is more important, we normally don’t allow those who have attacked us to build memorials at the actual burial site, no matter if they are representative of the whole or just the crazies of the group. Heroes of America are buried there, and they are OF MANY NATIONALITIES. If you are truly HONEST in your claim that this is to “build bridges”, then you would be a man of great honor and courage to recognize that it would be a mistake, and a slap in the face to those who perished innocently, to build this monstrosity so close to where these brave people were murdered. If you are NOT a man of honor and courage, and are not honest in your claim, then you will proceed with your illfated plan. America, remain vigilant and witness for yourself what Mr. Rauf does in the future regarding this construction. He will reveal his true self to you, and you will then know his real motives behind this “mosque”.
