Imperfect Crime: Thief Gets Head Trapped Under Garage Door

There’s probably nothing more likely to induce schadenfreude among the law abiding multitude than the spectacle of an incompetent criminal failing miserably at committing acts against society. That is certainly what one would witness by watching this report from CBS News on a thief in Brockton, Massachusetts, who got his head trapped quite literally in a garage door while he was trying to break into a store through that very same portal.

But wait, there’s more! The thief, one Manuel Fernandez, was apparently stuck with his head sandwiched quite literally between a rock and a hard place for over 9 hours.

Manuel Fernandez of Brockton, Massachusetts Tries to Break Into Store Only to Have Garage Door Fall on His Head

What the police saw when they arrived

One imagines he was almost relieved when the police showed up to cart him off to prison like the colossal criminal failure that he was.

Fortunately for Fernandez, he wasn’t injured in the process (except for obvious complaints of a headache), but officers say it could have been fatal if the door had fallen on Fernandez’s head from a greater height.

Perhaps that should stand as a warning to other would be thieves not to dive into such acts headfirst.

I’ll be happy to raise the door. But first, wait just a few more minutes while I try to find some film for my Kodak.

Was he an illegal alien? The news media always seems to leave out minor details like that.

I think that he should find an ambulance chaser who’ll sue the business for having dangerous doors that caused him some bodily injury and more important mental injuries that will interfere with his business and means of employment. If the lawyer‘s any good he’ll have any mention of how he was caught with his head under the door removed from mention in the lawsuit or trial too.

The thief will sue, win the lawsuit, and politicians will create a regulation saying all garage door’s will have to have a sensor installed by 2013 and those who dont comply will be givin a citation.

I’m wondering if we will eventually be considered racists for installing garage doors. It’s restricting the freedom of…..umm, I don’t know, an FPP (Felony Prone Persons)……. uhh….

Well hey, do any of the previous statements seen in the news of people being called racist make sense either?!

(On a side note, that FPP was said in jest, and just following the lead of those who like to call themselves MAP’s – Minor Attracted Persons, ie. those who lust after children. They want recognition as a protected minority group. Weird stuff)

Yep. What is even more scary is that he could win the law suit and politicians will come up with a regulation saying all garage doors have to be equipped with sensors so that this doesn’t happen to future thieves.

Now, now, he simply works in, with and for the wh group…. too much marijuana makes one’s reactions somewhat slower than usual, you know, which is why the others in the wh group prefer other drugs while “on duty”. Take joebiden, for example.

I’m not buying the story. Even a stupid criminal could wiggle his way out in 9 hours. I bet he smoked several times while waiting. And, probably wet his pants. You can only hold malt liquor so long…
