‘Implosion’ Author: These Are the 4 Steps You Can Take to Save America from a ‘Crisis of Biblical Proportions’

Joel Rosenberg Gives 4 Steps to Getting America on Track | ImplosionYou may recall that author Joel Rosenberg’s new book “Implosion” was featured on The Blaze Magazine’s June reading list (it can also be found in The Blaze’s book section). Rosenberg, an evangelical Christian and the co-founder and president of the Joshua Fund, spoke with me this week to discuss “Implosion” and the horrific dangers that America is facing.

During our discussion, he provided the four, key steps that citizens and officials, alike, can take to pull the nation back from the brink of disaster. Considering that saving the U.S. is the focus of his new book, the author had plenty of knowledge and perspective to share.

(Related: Christian Author Joel Rosenberg: We May See ‘More Bible Prophesies in the Near Future’)

In “Implosion,” a book title that certainly spells mayhem more than it does peace and tranquility, Rosenberg’s views on the current state of affairs are offered (as are some of the reasons that explain how the nation ended up in this troubling situation). From a tattered economy to social chaos, the author contends that the U.S. is facing major problems on nearly every front. This, in essence, is a catastrophe-in-waiting.

“America is experiencing a seriously epic failure at almost every level of society,” Rosenberg told The Blaze. “I divide the book into two areas — the economic and financial side and the moral and spiritual side.”

Considering the very different nature of the two spheres, he contends that it’s difficult to discern which one is worse off than the other. Economically, Rosenberg says that “we’re on the Titanic.” On the social side, the situation is equally — if not more — troubling.

The author called the current level of federal spending “unsustainable,” claiming that both liberals and conservatives agree with his assessment. As for the crime rate, Rosenberg lamented its purported 460 percent increase since 1960. All things considered, America’s social and moral fabric is tattered.

“The question is: At what point is the tipping point at which you cannot pull back from all that?,” Rosenberg asked, going on to say that he doesn’t know how much time America has to turn the ship around.

He went on to list four action steps that U.S. citizens and leaders, alike, should take to get the nation back on track. (1) To begin, he explained that it’s important for every American “to plead with God to forgive us and have mercy on our country.” As a nation, he contends that we have gone astray and that it’s time to appeal to the Lord to bring America back on track. While he explained that Wall Street, Hollywood and other sectors deserve blame, Rosenberg believes the church is “the biggest failure.”

“The church is supposed to be the lighthouse in a dark society showing the way to Christ who in himself is the way,” he said. “We are in a spiritual crisis of Biblical proportions.

Joel Rosenberg Gives 4 Steps to Getting America on Track | Implosion(2) Overturning Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court case that legalized abortion, is the second most important action that Rosenberg says is needed to restore America. During our discussion, he likened abortion to a holocaust.

“We are going to face just horrific judgement. I want a peaceful approach to changing these laws,” he proclaimed. “We’re approaching the death of 10 times as many people as the Nazis killed during the Holocaust.”

His third action point (3) shifts to federal and personal spending. With deficits and the overall national debt exploding, Rosenberg appeals for the government to “stop spending us into oblivion.” While he issued a clarion warning to the government, he extended this to each and every American citizen as well, urging personal restraint in handling finances.

“You just have to stop all of this crazy overspending. If you take out a mortgage for your house and it’s many multiples of your income, it’s not a terrible thing as long as you have a 30-year-plan to pay it down,” he added, going on to say that “cutting off credit cards” may be a viable action for some to consider.

Joel Rosenberg Gives 4 Steps to Getting America on Track | Implosion

(4) His fourth word of advice for for America not to “cut Israel loose.” Because the Bible is clear that God will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who go against the Middle Eastern nation, Rosenberg claimed that this issue is monumentally important. He said that abandoning Israel, especially as the international showdown with radical Islam continues, would be a “nightmare scenario.”

With an election just months away, the stakes are certainly high. But Rosenberg, who didn’t delve too deeply into partisan politics during our chat, believes uncertainty is the main tone taking hold (in fact he, too, admitted that he’s gone through his own “political detox” of late).

“People not only believe we’re on the wrong track, they’re worried we wont be able to get back on the right track,” he said. “And they’re not sure either man [Obama or Romney] can get the country back on the right path.”

The author’s overall assessment is that the nation needs to come back to Jesus Christ. Rosenberg is calling for a Third Great Awakening — one that would be reminiscent of the first two spiritual revivals (one in the 1700s and the other in the 1800s).

“I truly believe if we don’t see a Third Great Awakening in the next number of years, this country is going to implode and it wont matter who’s at the top. And I say that with grief.”

How to make money in America:
1: Take a tiny bit of truth: We are overspending.
    2: Throw in some fear.
3: Throw in God, sin, chaos, muslims, strangers, crime, etc.
4: Throw in some more fear.
5: Appeal to people who are already frightened
    6: Make millions
7: Do nothing to solve the problem with said millions

    Has everyone forgotten Chicken Little?

There are certainly a lot of Americans (myself included) who believe this, and do pray that God will forgive us. Unfortunately I think that there are more Americans who think that religion is a crutch, that there is no God, that whatever you do is ok, so long as you are “good” and leave others alone; pick your phrase. I fear for America; I think that there is a judgement coming and I don‘t think that there are enough people who TRULY pray for God’s forgiveness.
I work with a guy who’s attitude is “I don’t worry about politics. God is in control so He will take care of things”. No, he does not pray for our country. I am afraid that he and so many others are going to be left wondering “what happened?”.

Why do you wonder why America is doomed? Zechariah 12:3 explains it all. And if you think the prophecies in the bible are hogwash than why do you tremble when you hear them, unbelievers? The Egyptians didn’t believe Moses as well. Let me tell you, Clinton was the one who doomed America by forcing the Israelis to give up God’s land in 1992. Foolish thing to do. Very foolish.

The hand of God has been removed from America. The hedge of protection is being lifted because we have taken God out of America. We have been warned. We will be brought to our knees. The place of dedication (Washington vowed that America would keep God’s laws at ground zero), was the place of desolation. “The Harbinger”, by Rabbi Cahn, speaks about how this has occurred. The only way back is through the power of God.

Jesus did not come to save nations, but reconcile the children to the Father. Trying to save any nation is a distraction. The God of all is more than able to care for isreal and his children

The Harbinger should be read by every American as it details the facts of 9 harbingers found since 9/11 as to how/why this nation fell further under the judgment of God by scripture quoted from Isaiah 9 that we will rebuild bigger and stronger, etc. Two prominent politicians who quoted this scripture publicly, the first on 9/12/01, have fallen from grace. A couple of weeks ago, after fundraising in NYC, obama made a stop at ground zero to leave a note which stated bascially the same message as the scripture …perhaps this evil tyrant will fall from grace, too.

Abortion, in theological terms, is closer to human sacrifice than it is holocaust.

The cultures the Lord GOD destroys first are those practicing human sacrifice. Canaanites, Moabites, and other “-ites” in Israel’s neighborhood fell to Israel because of it. Judah was roundly condemned then allowed to be overcome by Babylon for having followed the human sacrifice practices of their pagan neighbors.

Rome punished Carthage. Conquistadors punished Mesoamericans. Englishmen punished the Iroquois and countless headhunters in the Pacific and Africa. Why? The practice of human sacrifice is abhorrent to the God of the Bible, and He will not let it disappear on its own. He punishes that behavior.

Hate to sound bad, but it’s eye for an eye time, kids. The only way to save ourselves is to kick ass. Otherwise, we’re doomed thanks to sinning limbs (the idiots who keep voting and enacting this crap) Better maimed and able to heal than the whole body damned and unwilling to part company with a few.

The only pragmatic road to saving this country is the will of the voters in November. But the will is rooted in their arses, not their minds. Expect things to get worse until dead bodies line the streets.. from what you ask? Starvation, homelessness and not one person who has something will give a damn. That’s how we got here, obsession with ‘me, myself and I’.

Another Fear-Mongering Churchman, full of platitudes! Lists of Platitudes! Who should buy this?

This is the easiest CON for a Fear-Mongering Churchman to use to sell wile-wares to blind rube-sheep! Madison said: Leaders aren’t angels, they hide self-interest! And sell hidden cons like FEAR!

    The Hall of Awakening
    By Robert Winkler Burke
Book #6 of In That Day Teachings
    12/26/09 http://www.inthatdayteachings.com

    Come forth churchmen,
Blinkered and weak! (When will you stop selling fear?)
    Come forth churchman,
Let your God speak! (When will you bring God near?)

    Tide has turned,
    Empires collide,
    You know little,
    And much you hide.

    Yes, you know scripture,
    As scribes and Pharisees did,
    Don’t be proud of this,
More truth than them, you’ve hid!

    Leave off puerile crayons,
    Leave off idols of weakness!
    Without fear, greed or slouch,
    You could begin fitness!

Stop, oh churchmen, the gilded charade,
    See what desolation’s been making!
Weep, wail and howl: fakest of fakers,
And enter in: the Hall of Awakening!

    Have I spoken,
    Of your abominable pride?
    Yours will be,
If you keep it, a hard ride!

Come forth now, oh ye churchmen!
I have heard all your prayers,
    Hear and believe My prophets,
    Not your yes-men soothsayers.

I believe we have misunderstood number 4.

Being there for Israel and supporting them diplomatically as Netanyahu requested during his visit and speech in front of Congress last year and controlling them are two different things.

Our current policy is we go around the middle east beating up countries that cannot fight back. Keeping hundreds of bases open in the region and 3 carriers. Giving Israel aid and money but giving their enemies more. Basically telling Israel when they can defend themselves.

What our policy should be is, quit giving everyone in the region money. Pull the troops out, close the bases because all they do is spawn anger and resentment to the US and Israel(big satan and little satan). You have to realize we are tied to them. We will not abandon them, but on the other hand we are bring more trouble to them with our constant war in the middle east. Israel has the most well trained and advanced army in the region. They can take on all of those countries solo. We can leave a carrier or two in their area, I have no issue with that but trying to bring democracy to these Muslim animals is a waste of time, money, and lives.

the fact we send any money to the muslim nations is insane. their democracy will always fail just as ours is now, our country worships the god of liberalism, when free people have no morals this is what happens and the same with the muslims, no morals, bad overbearing government. Maybe we are coming to a season of suffering that we will have to endure for our long-term benefit and God’s ultimate glory. We have gone astray, and indeed the church has largely failed. In the end, all we need is Christ, and perhaps we are being lovingly punished in order so that we might return to Him. That being said, from a practical standpoint, conservatives are just going to have find some courage and clarity on fundamentals so lacking amoung most of us.
