In Interview Bristol Palin Discusses the Feeling that Her Virginity Was ‘Stolen,‘ Laments ’Foolish Decisions’

In her new book “Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far” and in recent interviews, Bristol Palin has made some bold statements regarding the loss of her virginity and the mistakes that she’s made along the way.

According to her own account, the 20-year-old mother lost her virginity one night when she consumed too much wine. The next day, she awoke in dismay at the poor decision she had made. The Daily Mail has more:

‘Suddenly, I wondered why it was called ‘losing your virginity, because it felt more like it had been stolen,’ she writes in her memoir: ‘Not Afraid Of Life: My Journey So Far’.

She says she bitterly regrets falling pregnant the way she did and is now abstaining from sex until she gets married again.

While Palin has strong words for the father of her son and though she has expressed feeling as though her virginity was “stolen,” she has been clear in explaining that Johnston did not rape her. This morning, in an interview with “Good Morning America,” (GMA) she said the following:

“I’m not accusing Levi of date rape, or rape at all. But I am just looking back with the adult eyes I have now, and just thinking, that was a foolish decision.”

    I haven’t read any of the posts on this blog. Here is my opinion. Bristol Palin should keep her mouth shut. Either get her job or go back to school. Anything but what she’s doing. She is hurting her mother.

    SHE made the decision to drink and then while under the influence SHE made the decision to lay down. Many people have made bad decisions while under the influence but they have nobody to blame but themselves. So stating that her virginity was “stolen” is NOT an adult observation. An adult would NEVER use those words. An adult would say that she had a learning experience. To state that it was a mistake in my opinion reflects on her child. What knowledge does she have today that she wouldnt have had had she not laid down. Life and every decision in life is a learning experience. She needs to move on. Nobody “stole” anything from her.

      Yeah, she’s just trying to duck responsibility. Shows no class on Bristol’s part at all. She was probably sleeping with him all the time, but as the new abstinence spokesman, can’t really say that.

      Which is a shame, since she made the same mistake as a lot of Christian youths – somehow reconciling “I want to have sex” and “I shouldn’t have sex“ as meaning ”I’ll have sex – but without a condom.” (Explain that to me, please, someone – but I had friends like that in high school.) If she would address THAT problem, then maybe she’d be doing some good for society.

      But the “Do as I say, not as I did” message she’s preaching on abstinence is just ridiculous, and claiming that she was nearly date raped shows a remarkable lack of common sense on her part.

      For those who cannot do the math, the girl did not get pregnant in this, her apparent first, encounter, but must have continued to have sex in order to deliver a baby years later.

      I read the front pages of the “book” she wrote:
      She joined Levi at an underage Coed Camping Trip
      She got Drunk
      She got Raped. (She said, “my virginity was stolen”)
      After that she became sexually active (with Levi only).
      This led to her pregnancy.

      The rest of her Cinderella story is a rocket sled to fame and fortune, as happens with many teen unwed mothers.

      So obviously you don‘t know one single person who has gotten so drunk that they wake up the next morning and don’t remember what happened. You don’t believe someone can have sex and not remember it? Well it happens often and while it takes two to tango, there are times where only one is really conscious! I think Bristol loved Levi and knows she went against everything her parents taught her and it resulted in the loss of her virginity. She accepts responsibility. If it wasn‘t Sarah’s daughter, no one would even question her statements. The hatred for this family is truly unconscionable!

      @Mama: I don’t think Bristol is saying she passed out and he slept with her unconscious body, but rather she did what too many people do, which is to let alcohol lower their inhibitions. And then blaming it on the guy that gave her the alcohol, as if she didn’t have a choice in the matter.

      I also rather doubt they had sex just the one time, and she’s just blowing smoke as the new abstinence spokesman. (Oh, she doesn’t like the word abstinence? Well, she’s saying “don’t have sex”, so I‘m not sure what else you’d call it.)

      In her book, she said she went on a co-ed drinking camping trip with several boys and girls under 18. They had a case of wine coolers, and..

      …she woke up alone, next to Levi’s sleeping bag, with NO memory and some girls explained that there had been sexual activity, and then she realized she “felt funny down there.”

      After that, she continued to have sex with Levi, since she was no longer a virgin. Eventually (after several months of random sex with Levi) she discovered she was pregnant.

      The rest is history.

      If she did not intend to lose ger virginity, which seems sincere, then she was unconditionally raped at the camping trip. But she cannot remember by whom or how many.

    Far too many of us were “young & dumb”, full of raging hormones & susceptible to the lure of sex, drugs & early romance.

    Shocker! Two teenagers took a risk. It happens every day to kids with liberal upbringing and conservative upbringing. It looks to me like only one of them is grown up enough to deal with the consequences of taking that risk.       Bristol is following in her mothers’ shoes, and milking the exploitation of their family for every dollar possible. I’m all for capitalism, but I feel the Palins are playing the American people – and the American people buy right into it. Either the left hates them or the right loves them… at least when it comes to social matters. True fiscal conservatives realize the Palins are what they are: celebrities and pundits, not politicians. They’re in it for money, not for America.

It’s something that 80% of the blacks will never learn or admit because they need the handouts and that’s all that matters to them. No books being written to help others avoid the same mistakes.       Palin said the purpose of the ride was to inform the British the Americans were coming. That was false. She tried to spin it just how you said; but unfortunately that’s not what she responded with the first time. Revere’s purpose was to warn the colonists; he only ‘fessed up to the British after being captured and trying to bluff his way out. Saying he left to warn the British is like saying I drive my car in order to get into an accident.

      How exactly does one steal their own virginity. I guess the same way her mother has helped her steal some degree of celebrity status. As she appears to have no talent and no reason for anyone to pay attention to her. But then again her mom has trained her that you don’t really need to actually do much of anything. Just say stuff people want to hear, and if you can’t think of anything worthwhile to say just make it up. Let’s move on please.

      This kind of Rape is currently illegal in Alaska.
      Why not admit it and have the campers who boinked her talk to the Police?

She has a book, a TV show, got celebrity dance parts, got abstinence preaching money from a ‘tween sexy’ undergarment company, bought a house, has servants and nannies, plastic surgery just like Mom, Career Agents, etc.
      All the things you should expect if you get yourself a baby with no marriage!
