‘Incomprehensible’: Charles Krauthammer ‘Out of Adjectives’ to Describe Romney Olympics Remark

Fox News
Charles Krauthammer was “out of adjectives” to express his disgust with Mitt Romney after the candidate said there were some “disconcerting” logistical problems facing the London Olympics.
Romney’s remarks angered many Brits and prompted a biting response from Prime Minister David Cameron, who said putting on the Olympics is certainly easier if you hold them “in the middle of nowhere” — seen as a slam to Salt Lake City, where Romney managed the Games in 2002.
Krauthhammer, appearing on Fox News’ “Special Report with Bret Baier” Thursday, was beside himself over Romney’s remark, which came during a taped interview with NBC’s Brian Williams.
“What Romney answered in that question, it’s unbelievable, it’s beyond human understanding, it’s incomprehensible. I’m out of adjectives,” Krauthhammer said.
Romney’s overseas trip to England, Poland and Israel, “all of which have been treated roughly and badly by Obama,“ means the presumptive Republican nominee just has to ”show up and say wonderful stuff about his hosts,” he added.
“Imply we‘re going to be strong allies and everybody in those countries and around the world will understand it’s a rebuke, without saying so, a silent rebuke to Obama,” Krauthammer said.
He added, “All Romney has to do is say nothing. It’s like a guy in the 100-meter dash. All he has to do is to finish, he doesn’t have to win. And instead, he tackles the guy in the lane next to him and ends up disqualified. I don’t get it.”

Sorry, mixing metaphors, I too am out of adjectives for the crass, worthless p o s in chief.

Posted on July 28, 2012 at 2:12pmGod bless the Brits. Theirs was the country that gave birth to the United States. Of course, the British did that chiefly through gross abuse and neglect of the colonists’ needs and wants. Which makes it doubly laughable to see the Olympics’ Opening Ceremony give time to the praise of socialized medicine.
In case you missed it, the Olympic field was filled with giant hospital beds on which “sick” children were jumping and doing somersaults while their state nurses and doctors danced around them in loving tribute to the National Health System. I could imagine King Obama sitting at home at the White House, saying to Michelle, “That’s what I wanted. Why didn’t I get that?”
Unfortunately, Britain didn’t get that either. According to surveys of the British medical system:
• Only 10 percent of hospitals met hygiene standards.
• About 20 percent of hospitals did not properly sterilize medical instruments.
• One in 8 did not properly isolate patients with infectious diseases.
• One in 5 patients being treated for bypass surgery did not receive proper care. Among those who died, many of them did so because the staff were slow to recognize deteriorating symptoms and there were delays in getting doctors to see them.
There are horror stories galore from Britain’s health system, like the woman who pulled her own teeth because she was sick of trying to find a dentist who would take new patients. Or the woman who was denied free health care bec

If something does go wrong, then Romney can just say “I told you so.” If nothing goes wrong, we’ll just forget about the whole thing and go back to carefully editing Obama speeches. Obviously the whole thing was staged and calculated well in advance, like everything else this guy says or does.
Romney figures that nobody here cares what the Brits think, or any other foreign country thinks for that matter. If Europeans protest anything we do, that just makes us feel better about ourselves. ‘Cause we’re the best. We’re number 1. USA, USA, USA, USA, USA………..

VAN SUSTEREN: GOP NEEDS TO EXPLAIN ‘WHY THEY GIVE VITTER A PASS’ |

A trusted aide to Louisiana Sen. David Vitter resigned Wednesday morning after ABC News reported that he had been arrested for attacking his ex-girlfriend with a knife, and had an open warrant for his arrest in Baton Rouge on a drunk driving charge.
The aide, Brent Furer, worked on the Republican senator’s last campaign, and has spent the last five years posted in his Washington office to handle, among other things, women’s issues.
An ABC News investigation out this morning revealed that Furer had repeated brushes with the law dating back to the 1990s.
Those who have had encounters with Furer told ABC News that his presence on Vitter‘s payroll raised serious questions about the senator’s judgment.
Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, said it concerns her that the senator has talked so forcefully as an advocate for women and an opponent of drunk driving, and yet kept someone with Furer’s background on hi

Remember GOP chose Tampa, lap dance capital of the US, for their convention.
Hypocritical pubs talk the talk and walk the walk right into the strip joints. Good for them. America is a free country except for when pubs want to tell you how to live.
WHAT HYPOCRITES THEY BE.
Angelina Spencer, the executive director of the Association of Club Executives, which serves as a trade association for strip clubs, said an informal survey of convention business in New York and Denver had determined that Republicans dropped more money at clubs, by far.
“Hands down, it was Republicans,” she said. “The average was $150 for Republicans and $50 for Democrats.”
As further evidence of the clubs’ nonpartisan appeal, Don Kleinhans, the owner of the 2001 Odyssey, said when the Promise Keepers, a male evangelical group, came to town years ago, business was rollicking.
“We had phenomenal numbers all weekend, and they walked in wearing badges and name tags and weren’t shy at all,” he said.
James Davis, a spokesman for the Republican National Convention, declined to discuss Tampa’s prominent strip clubs.

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 11:26amAt least Romney speaks truly about what he thinks, not just a puppet looking for votes. The media has been out of adjectives, and pretty much everything else, for a loooonnnnggg time.

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 11:25amAmazing. Charles criticizes Romney for speaking the truth.. no wonder he is afraid to talk in details about what needs to be done to save America.

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 11:25amAll he had to say was: The British have been a remarkable people for centuries and have endured through great hardships and flourished inspite of them. I’m sure they will have no problem pulling the games off. Done, shut up.

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 11:36amBut, what if one actually “cares” about the London Olympics becoming a success?
Whether or not Mitt knows the Olympics, perception is everything; and he was perceived has having done a remarkable job when he oversaw the Utah games. As a result, he gets credit which means he instantly became a gurr; an expert – which means you listen when he constructively criticizes.
I believe this is a positive for Mittens; he took a step forward into becoming a man in this election.

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 11:52amagreed GONZO..this was no pressure visit and his primary goal should have been to reiterate America’s alliance with Great Britain.
Report Post »He met with MI6 officials also which to be truthful is smart and a sign that the British government take him more seriously than Obama…but that also should not have been publicized. The world hardly knows Romney and he dropped the ball even if it was a little bit. Now..he didn‘t say anything that’s not already being said by the British anyway..but it wasn’t his position to express the same concerns. He‘ll learn from it he’s not unteachable or narcissistic like Obama…and thankfully the American voter is more concerned about domestic issues than the London Olympics.
He‘s got a good campaign going and he’ll be coached.

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 11:53amEven if he cares, which I am sure he does, what good is pointing out possible flaws 3 days before the games start? It’s too late. He needs to care more about winning this election than the Olympics at this point. I don‘t think talking about he wife’s horse is a bad thing though. He’s successful and I (and most Americans) admire success.

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 1:15pmMy bust – had no idea the games were only days away. Shows you how important the Olympics are to me. I couldn’t care less. It’s probably ’cause I’m getting older and seeing more clearly what is and what is not important.

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 11:23amIt is obvious no one wants to be in London for the Olympics. All I have read has been negative by their own residents. It will be rainy and in typical London fashion for the entire Olympics. People will let their guard down and you never know what a radical Islamic terrorist will attempt. Does anyone watch the Olympics anyway?

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 2:11pmCheerful little soul aren’t you? It’s going to be great – certainly better than the worst Olympics of all time in Atlanta. “No-one wants to be in London” – have you tried booking a hotel room? “It will be rainy” – whine, whine, whine.

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 12:26pmHow could this piss off the Brits more than returning the bust of Churchill? At least he hasn’t bowed to anyone, yet. I don’t really watch, or care about the Olympics anymore, so I could care less what some thin-skinned Brit thinks. Obama has created the mid-trustful climate in Great Britain, now thy will say bad things about any criticism from an American, until we get back in their good graces.

Posted on July 28, 2012 at 1:59pmGonzo, I did a little research on Boris Johnson. He is basically the UK’s version of Joe Biden and Donald Trump all rolled into one. In other words, he’s a blowhard buffoon who will never pass up an opportunity to draw attention to himself. And he has a list of political controversies longer than London Bridge. He has about as much credibility as Benny Hill.
Yeah, maybe Romney could have deferred offering an opinion on the matter, but I’m not going to use the actions of men like Boris Johnson as a barometer for how much I should be concerned about this matter.
