Incredible Time-Lapse Captures 12 Years of Little Girl’s Life in Less Than 3 Minutes

Some parents put pencil marks on a wall to chart their children’s growth from year to year. Others maintain photo albums. One man took to film and shot his daughter every week for a year from infant to pre-teen. He then spliced it all together to bring us this incredible display of time-lapsed growth.

Watch Frans Hofmeester‘s daughter Lotte grow from birth to 12 years old in the amount of time it would take you to microwave last night’s leftovers:

We see not only Lotte’s growth, but the changes in her emotions as well. Sometimes she’s chatty, pouty or teary-eyed. Other times she’s silly, showing off her missing teeth. We see her changes in style from messy haired, put together, accessorizing and playing with different haircuts. We also see the coming-of-age life moments like getting her ears pierced or wearing braces on her teeth — and getting them off.

Hofmeester plans to continue the project. Perhaps we’ll be writing an update in 12 more years.

Its about time you post a positive story, The Blaze!!! Please keep posting more positive ones likes this more often and it will encourage people to have a more positive outlook in this country instead of the constant fear mongering stories like you usually post.

Junior….you should take your own advice and stop drinking the political koolaid, be it the left or right. Most people in this country cant stand petty politics. Chill out.

TAX, you just defeated your whole purpose of “scolding” the Blaze in the first place. You really don‘t want the fear mongering stories to stop or you’d go surf GoodHousekeeping.com, now wouldn’t you?

The problem, Tax, is that every time I read a nice story like this on the blaze, there is at least one and often several comments saying “How is this news?”

My daughter is 6 mos old, and I’m making a big change in my life which will require me to be away from her and her mother for a few months. Watching this video makes me realize how much I’ll miss in just a few months.

I was in the Marines before I had a family, and now after I have my own wife, and daughter, I have much more respect for the guys who did it with a family. 6 months away from my daughter would break my heart.

      God Bless.

I was really surprised at how much this video touched me. I have watched it several times, always with tears of joy for this beautiful young person.

I have 3 grandsons and no grand-daughters. I have 2 sons and no daughters. I have 2 brothers and no sisters. I have gigs and gigs of family pictures, but this video helps to fill a hole that exists in my life.

      Wonderful job! Thank you.

Actually, over the course of twelve years, it really didn’t take much time. A few minutes of video time several times a year (maybe monthly) plus the time to edit it together. What, in your wisdom, do you think he should have been doing?
