Via WTNH-TV:
Police say 22-year old Nikolaus Trombley was caught on tape, stealing the lawnmower from East Lyme High School. Police say he stole it in the middle of the night and then took it for a ride.
Police say Trombley told them he was drunk and looking for a place to sleep when he broke into a trailer behind East Lyme High School. He was looking for the keys to the school when he spotted keys to a Scag Mower and decided to go on a joy ride instead.
Police say Trombley rode the three miles to his parent’s house, mowed their lawn and was on his way to return the mower when he abandoned it near the intersection of Boston Post Road and Spring Rock Road. He’s charged with third degree larceny and burglary.

Report Post »Now I will have to cut it myself. it’s in dire need of cutting.Still can’t afford gas.
It was either buy gas for the truck (8 cyl )to get to work or gas for the riding lawn mower,(12 cyl, 5 gals to 1/4 mile, 120 mph) The grass had to, well, had to go, er I meant grow.

Report Post »This kind O LM would not be good fer bidniz. Yer customers could not afford the rates.( if yer in the grass cutt’n bidniz) Of course you would cut their lawn in 2/12 min. or if you sold em, you’d sell one every 2-4 yrs.maybe. Starve to death. Not w/ 5 gals to the 1/4 mi.
I only own this one cause I bought it when I won the Lottery. Bought it at NASA rocket propelled lawn mower equiptment LLC. Squandered all my munny on wild wimmens and lots of songs. they sang for me. Munny gone, on hard times, can’t afford gas/rocket fuel for the dam thing.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 10:44pm@MilesFromNowhere:
Sad but true, I have a nephew who refuses to hold a steady job due to, in his words, “the nation OWES it to ME!!!” My own parents support him and his wife to no end, giving them everything they wish for, and even went so far as to cut me out of their will to give it all to him (no problems here from my perspective).
