      She conveniently left out her part in the Cloward-Piven strategy of manufactured crisis. She also left out how her “little article” back in the 70′s was part of the strategy to overwhelm the welfare system so it would fall apart. How she and her students went on a campaign to swell the welfare rolls. She acts like Bambi in the headlights, yet I’ve seen pictures of her and her husband standing behind Bill Clinton when he signed the motor voter act. If she were such an insignificant figure how come she was among the elite at that photo op?
      To Piven’s students: Inform her that we have seen all the evidence, papers, video, audio; she fools no one in the internet age. In fact Piven looks like the world’s biggest liar when put up against the facts.

      Looks to me that her response was scripted and she basically read it. Very little eye contact (probably due to the truth twisting) and when she did look up from the desk she would dart her eyes all over the place. I think it physically hurt for her not to say what she really wanted. Then she started heading down the path of saying what she REALLY wants to say and either was kicked in the shins or actually had caught her self, and chose to so say nothing (and look like a DA) instead of continuing. I also believe the question on the death threat(s) is just fuel to the anti Beck engine and the continued push for government control of the public air ways, “see what Beck’s hate speak is doing to innocent people. He’s jeopardizing their lives” The media is as whacked in the head as Piven.

    Odd awkward silence at the end – I wonder what that was about. And why don’t they pull up the highly questionable things she has said, it is a fluff piece without confronting her on those serious statements – but that seems typical of leftist media – only pull out the statements and audio when they are conservative.

      She seemed like she was in damage control mode to me. Trying to look all sweet and grandmotherly. What is irritating is the gigantic leap MSNBC takes about the death threats. She openly admits she was getting them all along, and that they escalated because of an article she published recently – she notes no tie to GB. That’s probably why they cut her off – it was probably an MSNBC producer talking in her ear when he realized she wasn’t going down their rabbit trail with them – shut her right up. She’s a loon, to be sure, but MSNBC continues to be guilty of fabricating news.

      There is nothing odd about what Beck is saying. He used your words and history to show the patterns for those who are willing to speak nonsense and then the followers who act upon that nonsense. You made no rebuttal to Beck’s comments with YOUR OWN WORDS. You are a tool and wretch to think the way you do and our country afforded you that right. Beck doesn’t just get bored and pluck people to talk about out of thin air, he does his homework and refuses to put anything on air without diligent research to avoid sounding like a charlatan. Did someone whisper in her ear “hey lady, the camera is about 12 inches up.” Perhaps someone let her know that she was actually calling for the unemployed to rise up, hence restating her call for revolution and the bottom up theory. OR it was simply a senior moment and she forget where she was and what she was doing there. I think she may suffer from dementia which is not a joking matter, but seriously, it explains her off the wall remarks and behavior.

      The part at the end of the interview where they both suddenly stop talking, is because she went off script and mention that she called again for revolution back in December.       You know what kind of people preface a conversation by calling themselves “intelligent?” Stupid people who only hear themselves being referred to as smart when they tell other people how smart they are. Anywho, you can tell this Piven lady is lying about the death threats because of the way she looks down while talking about them. A prosecutor can tell a defendant on the stand is lying if he looks down while answering a question (as if looking at imaginary notes that have been rehearsed); conversely, a defendant who is telling the truth will look up (as if to search the memory in his brain). Ditto with kids.

      At any rate, I say to Piven, if you’ve been receiving death threats, you need to report the threats to police and have the calls traced. For a nominal charge the phone company will trace the calls and turn the phone numbers over to the police. She won’t call the police though, because, like all Liberals, this lady is a liar and I can guarantee you that no Conservative has ever threatened her. We just don’t operate that way.

      What I don’t understand, is why she doesn’t just renounce all forms of violence? OR is she still committed to the fact violent revlolution, sustained by anger between the two greater classes, will usher in her Communistic agenda? Why is she astounded that Beck would pick up on her, she is not innicuous, she is teaching/advising our children, how’s that again, just like the un-repentant Ayers? We have heard her as recently as 2010 espousing violence on the streets, protests, riots and the like, no she is being dishonest here and doing a CYA at the same time, diplorable.       Looks like to me she was getting a message from the producers. Probably something like “stop sounding inflammatory”. It also looked like the interviewer received the same message. In other words she was stopped in her tracks. If you look at the vid you see her looking to her right so someone must have told her to stop talking.

      BTW, I think she does listen to Beck and I bet he scares the you know what out of her, not in a physical way but in the – the lies are coming to an end way.

      Ok, so let me get this straight.

      She’s on MSNBC defending herself against stuff that Glenn Beck has said, yet she doesn’t watch his show nor does she read “his blog – The Blaze”. She depends on friends and students to inform her of what he says. Yeah, right. I’m sure her friends and students would never, ever have any bias in their views…

      And what happened at 4:08? Did she experience a brain fart or something?

      She either felt the trickle going down her leg or realized as the producer was saving her from spilling the beans validating what Beck has said all along. This woman is dangerous and the fact that she is a professor in a university explains the problem in America today and where the poison seeping into the heads of the educated is coming from.

      Because she speaks about helping the the most needy in this country. I think another great man said and preached the same. Umm let me see his name was…. ummm Oh yeah Jesus Christ. you all are heartless godless corporate defenders. corporations have raped the middle class and you defend them. Just like the health care law. You sided and defended Death panels called the health insurance companies. Way to go. thank God you failed at trying to defeat them

      I beleive that dramatic ‘pause’ at the end was her realizing she was about to add ‘rioting’ to her list of whys and she caught herself at the last second from revealing her true self fully.

      When Im trying to decide what side to believe in ANY situation one of the things I look for is eye contact. Mr. Beck seems to always make contact with the camera, making the case to the American people… However, this woman looks around creating realities in her mind as she speaks, her eyes are all over the place much like a car being driven by someone insisting on texting her “BFF”.
