Interested in Fighting the Nanny State With Lemonade, Delicious Pies…and Hugs? Beck Will Tell You How

How many people are tired of the Nanny State and its continuing expansion across nearly every aspect of American life? Glenn Beck is and that is why June 13th will mark a nationwide fundraiser geared toward selling and consuming as much lemonade and baked goods as humanly possible. The best part of all is that the event, part of Beck’s upcoming Restoring Love rally, will raise money for a good cause.
Beck noted that the push to outlaw donations to food banks, barring children from hugging, banning lemonade stands and bake-sales across the country are all ways in which the government drives a wedge between people and removes the sense of community we all once shared. With this in mind, he and his team will help interested participants get involved by advertising their bake sale or lemonade stand and providing a Restoring Love logos to use throughout the event. The proceeds will go to MercuryOne where it will be used to feed the homeless at soup kitchens across America.
Beck has more information below:
If you’d like to get involved please email bakesale@GBTV.com and in the interim, consider this brief history on one of the Western world’s great institutions and earliest symbols of entrepreneurship: the lemonade stand.
According to the Center for History and New Media, selling lemonade to thirsty passersby has been a pursuit of America’s youth for at least 130 years, though it likely existed in some form or another long before that. It is typically noted as the first experience a child has with learning the value of money and basic business principles as the process teaches how to: determine if there is a market for a product, produce an in-demand good, meet customer demand for that good, learn customer relations skills, learn basic math skills, understand profit-margins, and earn a reward for a work completed. From Elizabeth Taylor to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and even Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, some of the country’s most successful people began with a single lemonade stand.
More than this, however, the lemonade stand has also represented what it means to be part of a larger community and presidents across the decades have acknowledged their place in American society. Often, the simple sale of lemonade has funded charitable efforts, teaching children about personal responsible and good citizenry. It is perhaps for this reason more than any other that the recent “crack-down” by bureaucrats on something as innocent and even meaningful seems so egregious.

Posted on May 15, 2012 at 8:17amMy kids are always looking for something to do in the summertime. What a great idea! We live on a cul-de-sac, but I’ll have them make signs. If the gentleman above sees signs, I know he’ll come! We like to put a drop of vanilla in our lemonade; so yummy.

What do Americans do when given lemons? Make lemonade, of course!
Conservatives have waited for the candidate trains to pull into town and eager to find one loaded with the vital fruit to stabilize our country. The trains have arrived, unloaded their cargo and are bringing it to market. Unfortunately, they’ve brought us only lemons.
The long awaited CONSERVATIVE EXPRESS did not come, but Romney’s train, the MODERATE EXPRESS, did arrive. Bearing fruit not sweetly conservative, but of a milder flavor, and showing signs of a few exposures to the dreaded “FLIP-FLOPS”, although possessing many good qualities, and wrapped with a fine texture of “SUCCESS”.
Next to arrive was the Obama train, the SOCIALIST EXPRESS, loaded with lemons grown on the tree of “PROGRESSIVISM”, a grafted variety from the true tree of “SOCIALISM”. The fruit is bitter and expensive, and even with a dowsing of sugar, will not render a palatable drink. Most are left unwilling to buy this load.
To serve-up the best possible lemonade from the lemons found in stock, do Americans select from the crate marked “ROMNEY” or the crate marked “OBAMA”?
Most will find Romney to be the PICK OF THE SEASON, since he will provide a greater chance for Americans to tweak the final recipe to their liking—and an opportunity to wait for next season’s improved crop!
Up With Lemonade! Up with Capitalism! Up Yours, Socialists!

Posted on May 15, 2012 at 1:27amI will see if my daughter wants to run a lemonade stand and sell cookies that day. She already asked why and I told her, that it’s a way of telling the government to stop pushing little kids around and that kids across the entire country should all stand up for their rights to want to be able to sell something on their own and make their own money all by themselves, that’s how kids learn later to make bigger companies and make more money…. she thought that that was, she’s a budding capitalist at heart and makes her daddy proud!

Loved the bimbo cop that had to keep putting her hand into the camera; …nice Stasi attitude there, Comrade Officer! In some jurisdictions you are a criminal if you film police in action and can be arrested…how convenient. And to think we are still in quite an early stage of our march forward to the Dictatorship of the Proletariat.

Posted on May 14, 2012 at 10:37pmFolks, remember Rush Limbaugh with the caller back in the early ‘90’s, Dan, who couldn’t afford the Newsletter from Rush. Long story short, Rush had him earn the money to get it, and he decided on a bake sale. Soon tons and tons of calls came in, people from around the U.S.; Dan’s tiny little town with barely enough bathrooms, was overwhelemed with people by the thousands, to by from what became known as “Dan’s Bake Sale”. And, like Tea Party events, when they left, it was clean.
Can we have a nationwide event, a Glenn’s Bake Sale? It’s up to you!

Posted on May 14, 2012 at 9:43pmAs in most socialist states, once the money runs out all the laws and rules and blah blah blah turns irrelevant and the criminals take over everything because everything is illegal. Growing food is illegal. Driving a car is illegal. Walking down the street is illegal. The US needs to stop creating new crimes now no matter how tempting. I hear lot of Nazis out there talking about people need to be punished for very subjective things. Most of them are republicans. Which way shall we go? National Socialism or Communism? It is the choice Germany had in 1932.
