‘International Zionist Class’: Anti-Semitic ‘Financial Analyst’ Joachim Martillo Blames Jews for Financial Crisis

“There is an intimate connection between the collapse of the financial system, both in the United States and worldwide, and US international policy and its manipulation by a class of hyper-wealthy Jewish Zionists.”
These words, spoken on June 26 on Iran’s PressTV, are the sort of thoughts one would expect from a particularly vile third world Mullah, or from a skinhead clad in racist paraphernalia, or perhaps even from a ranting man in an Elmo suit in Central Park. However, instead they were spoken by a self-proclaimed “Financial analyst” named Joachim Martillo, who claimed that an interconnected, “essentially ethnic network” of Jews on Wall Street secretly control the levers of the United States financial system.
“90 percent of the people that were convicted of fraud with regard to the S&L meltdown were Jewish,” Martillo says. He then proceeds to blame this supposed Jewish conspiracy not only for the Wall Street crash, but also for the rising oil prices in the 70′s (which apparently had something to do with expropriating Arab wealth for Jews), and for the failure of the housing market. This all leads up to the quote listed above.
Martillo’s status as a “financial analyst” is dubious. What is also dubious is his stance on the Holocaust. Martillo’s paper trail is surprisingly thin for a man who was able to get traction on a major Iranian network (as it appears to consist mostly of internet comments left under his name), but a quick look at his Facebook shows him making a rather interesting observation about the event in question (the Middle East Media Research Institute calls him a ‘Holocaust Denier’):
What “Zionist myths” Mr. Martillo specifically objects to is not addressed. His blog, “Ethnic Ashkenazim Against Zionist Israel,” is even more mystifying, as its content varies wildly, and indeed, nothing approaching a consistent message emerges from the posts assembled. For example, in one post, Martillo complains that Gabby Giffords shooter Jared Lee Loughner is being turned into an anti-semitic scapegoat because his mother was falsely described as Jewish. In another, he claims that Jewish commentators such as Daniel Pipes and Charles Krauthammer are “racists.” Martillo’s own ethnic Judaism only adds to the confusion.
For our part, we think Mr. Martillo is laboring under a misapprehension that Jews have some sort of monolithic political agenda, and has imbibed no small amount of paranoia. George Soros and Charles Krauthammer are both Jewish, after all, yet one would be hard pressed to find issues where the two men agree. This is not a race issue, and the fact that a man who is (apparently) ethnically Jewish is willing to give comfort to Iranian media sources with a probable antisemitic agenda, simply as a way of attraction attention to his own delusions, is one of the more pathetic facts we have encountered today.
Then again, as we’ve said, at least he wasn’t dressed as Elmo.

1) Why are we always aghast and paranoid concerning fascists/Nazis? Stalin and Mao murdered upwards of 80,000,000 people that makes Hitler look mild by comparison. If one wants to be concerned I’d worry about communists. There hasn’t been a fascist in power in the world since 1945.
2) It has been over 70 years since the end of World War II. Why are we still having to relive the Holocaust again and again? If because of the scale of the horror then why are we not just as aghast about Stalin or Mao and have a movie every week? Hell, Pol Pot‘s holocaust in Cambodia occurred less than 40 years ago and I’d wager more than half of the American people have never even heard of it.
3) Glenn made a point to garner sympathy for the Jews, by pointing out that they had been kicked out of every decent country for 2000 years. Doesn’t that make wonder about what they did to cause their banishment on such a consistent basis?

You say he was Jewish? Fine I’ll take your word for that. That really doesn’t matter to me. What matters to me is whether or not there‘s fact or not in what he’s saying..
For example he names people off of Obama’s financial team like the leader Summers formerly known as Samuelson, and Orgsby.. Are they both Jews? What about Austin Goolsby? Rahm Emanuel? And Obama’s Campaign director David Axlerod? I think this list could go on for days but suffice it to say the man named two key people in Obama’s administration and stated their ethnicity.
Now you’re all over the damn place in your article going back as far as the Holocaust… Why not just take the man‘s sentence’s and begin to decontruct them? You don’t want to do that do you? Are you afraid of what you will find if you being taking apart his sentences in his own words and thoughts?
