Investor Jim Rogers Blasts ‘Clowns in Washington’ During Beck Interview

Yesterday we brought you a clip of legendary investor Jim Rogers making some grim remarks on CNBC. Mainly, he said the U.S. is headed for a financial crises worse than ‘08, the Yuan will be more secure than the dollar, and Bernanke will institute QE3. That’s some incredible stuff.
It just so happens that Rogers also was a guest on Glenn Beck’s TV program last night and continued saying some amazing things. For example:
“You would think that those clowns in Washington would read one history book and see what happens when people get into this kind of situation. Nobody ever has gotten out of this kind of situation without a crisis or a semi-crisis. Now, the crisis, or the semi-crisis, is coming sooner rather than later.”

We cannot continue down this path of spend, spend, spend. I know you realize this for on a simpler term look to your own money management. What goes out must come in–it must be a balance, right? We have been out of balance for too many generations have we not? You cannot buy something that you do not have the money for–end of story. As I see it, the only answer is to replace almost every member of the Senate and House in 2012, except those who are explicitly in favor of FIXING the debt crisis. Those who will make the hard decisions needed to save the country. Social Security must be modified, Medicare must be modified, Foreign Aid must be trimmed, troops MUST be brought home from countries financially able to defend themselves thereby saving BILLIONS of dollars spent renting bases from those countries, eliminating the wasteful Department of Energy, Department of Education and a host of other wasteful programs.
America, like most families must look at its income and plan a budget based on that income. We cannot continue to live beyond our means. Oh yes, the new Congress must have the cojones to REPEAL Obamacare!
All this CAN be accomplished in 2012!!! Remember, politicians are elected to serve US, we are not here to serve THEM!!!

“ The ”Alexander Tyler” quoted at the head of the article is actually Lord Woodhouselee, Alexander Fraser Tytler, a Scottish historian/professor who wrote several books in the late 1700s and early 1800s. However, there is no record of a Tytler’s having authored a work entitled “The Fall of the Athenian Republic” (or “The Decline and Fall of the Athenian Republic”), and the quoted material attributed to him above is likely apocryphal

I praise the fact that he will go on TV and tell the truth. He calls Washington pols for what they are…fools, clowns, and buffoons who sell us out at a drop of the hat. Too many people can’t deal with the truth because the truth sometimes hurts. Jim adjusted to reality faster than most and is protecting his family’s future the best way he can. He was on Cavuto’s show for years before he moved to Singapore providing the advice he has now taken.. Apparently he saw no way out of the mess we in and the direction we are going. The hard nosed Repubs and Dems (for different reasons) love globalization which steals our manufacturing (energy production included) and robs us of our wealth. As long as the middle of the road citizens stay divided by party lines, the hard nosed of the left and right will run us over like roadkill. (Could that be why we are referred to as “middle of the road”.) The Dems and Repubs work will not be complete until America is broke and we are all poor. Each of us will fight this trend the best way we can but in the end, we will all go broke together if nothing is done.

You are obviously a lib and a socialist. Whatever can be said about Beck, he is no elitist. Frankly, as a socialist, you should be proud to be a socialist and every bit as proud as Rep. Weiner is proud to be a socialist. I disagree with socialists but I do not try to tell lies against them. Socialists want to take care of the poor as long as it is convenient and as long as they don‘t run out of everyone else’s money. The little lady who has no internet access for her child should not be flaunting her plight as though she is entitled to internet access. Instead, she should be working as best as she can in her humble surroundings to access charitable institutions for help. My experience with libs and socialists is that they are a hateful bunch who have a certain kind of invidiousness to every one else, including one another. The socialist experiment was tried in the USSR many years ago and it failed miserably.

OK, that out of the way let us discuss SECESSION.
It would be neither easy nor beneficial. Just think of (after another ‘civil war’ – which was one of Abraham Lincoln’s reasons for wanting to keep the United States as a SINGLE country – consider the logistics of ‘red’ states having to survive.
How many of them have ocean access – without going thru (and pay a fee to) a ‘blue’ state? So, with ONLY the Gulf of Mexico as the area for places like Idaho, Wyoming,, Indiana, etc. with access to ocean ports, the ONLY other alternative would be to transport goods thru Canada – then overland to Canadian ports.
The majority of ‘red’ states are in what is known as ‘fly-over’ country and again, only the Gulf states have major population areas. If ALL goods from these states had to be funneled to the Gulf of Mexico for export by ship – or by planes which would need ‘permission’ to fly over ‘blue’ states’, Canada or Mexico please explain how your ‘red’ states would both survive and flourish.
Oh, and since the Federal Government OWNS this country’s Interstates, how would you manage that problem and how would your particular state manage to purchase these roads (they would be expensive). How would your state provide WITHOUT any Federal assistance for natural – or man made – disasters??

California – the Granola state – you know, take away the fruits and nuts and all you have left is flakes… it is one of the best places geographically to grow it. We could pay down the debt and maybe even have a big export crop! Sad truth is, our children will not grow up in the land of opportunity that we did. I can’t smoke enough pot to make me not care. I am disgusted with the sleaze bags like the Clintons and Obama and all the other crooks who have gotten filthy rich while running our country down the sh_tter.

Those of us in the US tend to believe that freedom is a universal value, and we spend much of our time and resources attempting to bring freedom to people who are either not seeking it, or can’t comprehend our fascination and interest with it: they have always chosen despotic or theocratic rule. If there is a lesson to learn from history, and a hope that we can be among the first in history to actually execute what we’ve learned, let’s temper our approach to “saving” the world and focus our attention on saving this amazing experiment called Democratic Republic. Let’s bring our soldiers home, build strong borders, rebuild our faith and culture, and become the place we were meant to be. But since I understand that we don’t learn from our history, I know, at some point, we will fail as a nation. And I also know that it’s from the ashes of that failure that we will rebuild a better society.
