Iran Sentences Man to Lose Eye and Ear for Acid Attack

It’s an eye for an eye — literally.
An Iranian man has been sentenced to lose an eye and an ear for attacking another man with acid, which caused the victim to lose his sight and an ear. The attacker also must pay blood money.
The man, identified only as Hamid, said he mistook the victim, named Davoud, for someone who had bullied him as a child. He was wrong.
“I bought acid and went back to my former high school and waited for some of the classmates to come out. When he [Davoud] came out, I followed him and threw acid on him and I also injured my own legs by doing so.”
Davoud said that he is two years younger than Hamid, so it would have been impossible for them to be in the same class.
It’s unknown if the punishment has yet been carried out.

I lived way back in the hills of the deep south. It was miserable being poor, cold, hungry, and picking cotton for 1.5 cents a pound at five years old to put food on the table.Never had a decent haircut, clothed did not fit and mom had to make my shirts out of pig feed sacks. I dutifully went to school. Elementary school was good. Kids of my own kind and from same sort of life circumstances. High school was different. Had to go into town to attend school. I was ashamed shame for being poor and different. I was bullied in High School. The bully was an affuent kid from a prominent family. He merciless in his torture. Pulled at my clothes and laugh when the seams would part because mom dewed them by hand. Mocked my teeth being crooked, and clothes that did not always fit like his did him. One day he grabbed me by my skinny arn and kicked me in the ass. That day at that moment, something inside me took hold and I smahed his face into a bloody pulp. My rage was such that I had to be pulled off him because I intended to kill him. Now nering my seventieth year, I look back. I finished school, got two PHDs, served my country 20 years. I am pretty successful overall. I don’t know where the bully is or if he is still even alive but I know just one thing…………….No sonofabitch will ever lay hands on me again. Especially since I have learned about the Second Amendment. Surprised at my anger? Well walk 20 years from age 1-16, endure the humiliation I was doled out by my peers on the “right side of the tracks” and tell me how you feel. Today I work with bullies………..all of them behind bars! How do I treat them? Wit as much dignity and respect as they will allow. But all in all the rage is still there.

At least half of the people we have in our jails should be working at some type of job while in jail and the ones who committed murder should have been put to death. When we started being lenient with our criminal laws the criminals decided to take over. And they did. May God Bless.

Posted on December 30, 2010 at 1:05pmThere sense of justice amazes me. However I will agree with them here in that I believe if you take a life you forfeit your own. You could wittle it down from there but I’ll stick with a life for a life. This should cause those to think a second time before doing something that could remotely injure someone in the first place which in turn could lead to the death of that person.

Posted on December 30, 2010 at 11:22amfirst it was stupid of him to go after some guy he thought was a childhood bully, we all know that.. but most of us here are calm Americans. 2nd, pretty scary they live by “eye for an eye” overseas, isn’t it. still, Mankind lived like that for 3000 years or so we know of, so talk about a set swift Justice. think how quickly our courts and prisons (and national debt) would be cleared if we still had some form of prairie Justice here, you steal, you bust up big rocks for road gravel. you murder or rape, you hang.

I just don’t think giving every kid sensitivity classes and safety sissors is the best thing for the next generation. I mean hell the teens now are already wimps. school yard fights and name calling and all that helps prepare a kid to deal with real problems when they are older.

Posted on December 30, 2010 at 9:10amI’m in support of beating the crap out of the bully….never understood why so many stand by and watch someone else get bullied…..always stood up to them myself…they ended up proving themselves cowards by backing down when confronted…..course they always labeled me crazy, but they never bothered me again and didn’t bother anyone else while I was around…with that said, I was always prepared to get my own behind whipped but I always let them know…you may beat my a**, but I’m taking a piece of you with me….LOL

I’ve never encountered anyone who was in favor of bullying before – ‘cept a bully being in favor of his own behavior. Referencing heavy’s comment, bullies are cowards who try to shore up their own insecurities by picking on someone they presume to be weaker. Insecure people are not usually content with themselves.
