Iran Vows Support to Anyone Confronting ‘Cancerous’ Israel

(AP) — Iran will help any nation or group that confronts the “cancer” Israel, the Islamic Republic’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Friday.

He also said in remarks delivered to worshippers at prayers in Tehran and broadcast on state TV that the country would continue its controversial nuclear program, and warned that any military strike by the U.S. would only make Iran stronger.

Khamenei also warned that Tehran would reveal a letter that it says U.S. President Barack Obama sent the Iranian leadership in an attempt to end the nuclear stand-off. He said it shows that the Americans cannot be trusted. The White House has denied that such a letter exists.
Iranian officials have consistently reacted defiantly to indications by the U.S. and Israel that they might at some point take military action against Iranian nuclear facilities.

Any statement by Iran’s Supreme Leader, who has final say on all matters of state, makes it all the more unlikely that Tehran will switch tack.
Khamenei affirmed that Iran had assisted militant groups like the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Palestinian Hamas – a well-known policy, but one that Iranian leaders rarely state explicitly.
“We have intervened in anti-Israel matters, and it brought victory in the 33-day war by Hezbollah against Israel in 2006, and in the 22-day war” between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip, he said.
Israel’s large-scale military incursion against Hamas in 2008-2009 in Gaza ended in a cease-fire, with Israel claiming to have inflicted heavy damage on the militant organization. The war in Lebanon ended with a U.N.-brokered truce that sent thousands of Lebanese troops and international peacekeepers into southern Lebanon to prevent another outbreak.
“From now on, in any place, if any nation or any group confronts the Zionist regime, we will endorse and we will help. We have no fear expressing this,” said Khamenei.
He said Israel is a “cancerous tumor that should be cut and will be cut.”
The remarks are a rare direct acknowledgment by an Iranian leader of Tehran’s intervention against Israel in armed conflicts. Iran has usually said in the past that it offers political support to Hezbollah and the Palestinian groups.
An Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman said he wasn‘t surprised by Khamenei’s remarks. “It‘s the same kind of hate speech that we’ve been seeing from Iran for many years now,” Yigal Palmor said.
Khamenei also said that the U.S. will suffer defeat and lose standing in the region, if Washington decides to use military force to stop the country’s nuclear program.
“Iran will not withdraw. Then what happens?” asked Khamenei. “In conclusion, the West’s hegemony and threats will be discredited” in the Middle East. “The hegemony of Iran will be promoted. In fact, this will be in our service.”
Both U.S. and Israel have not ruled out a military option against Iran’s nuclear facilities, which the West suspects are aimed at developing weapons technology.
Iran says its nuclear activities have geared toward peaceful purposes such as power generation and medical isotopes.
Another potential military flashpoint is the Strait of Hormuz at the mouth of the Persian Gulf. Iran has threatened to close the strait in response to U.S. and EU sanctions targeting the country’s oil exports.
Khamenei warned that Iran might reveal a letter that it claims to have received from President Obama, which he implied had contained promises that Washington had not offered.
“The U.S. president sent a letter to us and we replied. Then they showed reaction and took action. The letters one day will be revealed to the public and people will find what their words are. One of our essential jobs is to be aware about their deceptions in their promises and smiles,” he said.
Khamenei did not say when the letters had supposedly been exchanged.
An Iranian lawmaker in January claimed that Obama had asked for direct talks with Iran in a secret letter, that also warned Tehran against closing the Strait of Hormuz.
Obama administration officials have denied there was such a letter. Tehran and Washington cut diplomatic relations in the aftermath of Iran’s 1979 Islamic revolution.
Half of Khamenei’s nearly two-hour speech was delivered in Arabic, an apparent nod to the Arab world. Iran has applauded the victory of Islamist groups in elections in 2011 and 2012 that followed the toppling of authoritarian regimes in Egypt and Tunisia.
The Supreme Leader said the Islamist electoral victories will “weaken and isolate” Israel, and that they represented the failure of what he said was U.S. policy based on “anti-Islam” propaganda.

He even sent missles into Israel. Syria and Iran remained terrified on the sidelines. Iran’s doing a similar thing now. Iran‘s problem is that it’s the only viable Shia state in a region mostly populated by Wahaabists and Sunnis. Arabs dislike Iranians intensely. The alliances with Hamas, Hezbollah and Syria are simply alliances of convenience. Most of the arab world would love to see Iran neutralized.

Thank God we had a rational president that was measured in his response and did not strike the first blow. As I said there is a fine line between rhetoric,belief and action. The one who strikes the first blow, despite all the rhetoric and the religious dogma is the true culprit. Supposed someone threatened to do harm to you? Would you respond by prepare yourself or would you go out of your way and look for this individual and strike the first blow? By doing the latter, you would be acting preemptively and you would be held criminally responsible no matter how much the other person threatened you. Its all comes down to rhetoric vs action. The one who strikes the first blow is the true culprit and that’s looking more and more that it will be us or israel.

We are seen as the force that sustains Israel. If we stop all support to Israel and let them deal with their own issues, immediately we would have no issues with the Iranians. Its not in their interests to be at war with us and not in our interests to be at war with them. They have drawn a line in the sand with respect to Israel however and that’s their prerogative. If Israel was sooo tough what do they need out permission for? Why is AIPAC here? Why do they need us to vote their way in the UN? Why do they need our $4 billion in aid? If Israel is as tough as you say, then they should take out the Iranian facilities the same way they took out the Syrian facilities. They didn’t hesitate when they wanted to bomb Syria why the hesitation now? They have bombed Iraq’s facilities and have also preemptively bombed Egypt and Lebanon. Didn’t need much encouragement there. The truth is Israel is scared of handling Iran alone and wouldn’t be able to deal with the blowback on their own, so they have to shield themselves behind America. If they could handle Iran then they would have done so already.

Simple truths… will the middleeast ever attack Israel? Not as long as we are on Israel’s side. I cannot foresee us ever leaving them…. though Obama has definetly made the relationship poor. The next republican will make it strong again…
The weapons we would use incase of an all out assault on Israel would devastate any or as many as we want in the middle east. They know that. But to keep the poor and ignorant citizens in check you need to make sure they hate someone more then you. Iran says this all the time to take the heat off the public really disliking their government.
Notice how all despots, dictators, etc… do this.. Make someone else the villan. The muslim world uses this technique as their way to control the people. Hitler used it, commies used it, Iran, syria, Saddam, etc… all use it…. Heck even DIMS use it. Don’t hate Obama, Don’t hate the DIM stopping all the republican job growing bills…. HATE RICH PEOPLE….

We can reach any country from the US, there is no need to be planted all over the world. It just ticks everyone off, even the countries we are supposedly protecting.

It all ties together…save money – bring soldiers home – less war
We have the best air force and navy in the world – BAR NONE. Our air force can be anywhere in the world in less than 10 hours. We only need a handfull of navy bases around the world and the navy can be anywhere in a couple days. We can get rid of some of these overseas bases and still have the same military strength

I challenge all christians to rethink their positions towards war. War in the name of defense is one thing – war in the name of hatred is another. Since Iran has not attacked anyone, what kind of war would this be?

I was so freaked out when I learned of the similarities. I have also found references of the number of the Qur’an being 666. Put that together with the false prophet already being in Hell, (Revelation) at the time of Christs return. The only historical figure who could fit that description is mohamed. All the pieces fit !
